  1. Bowman has had a few good chances and none taken if the twitter feed is to be believed, friendly or not we should not be losing to teams of the standard of Gateshead.
  2. I see Wes Fletcher has scored for TNS in the Europa league tonight. Correction it's now been credited as an own goal
  3. Being " comprehensive outplayed" as you put it in their 1st competitive match together and strolling to a 2-0 win, aye we should be concerned !! wet pants this early in the season is more of a concern, wring yours out and chill.
  4. Anybody described as playing similar to Zak Jules gives me the fear, but time will tell he will be judged on performances.
  5. Unless we get an offer we can't refuse for Moult he will be staying for at least another season to see out his contract. We need to be planning on him being here for the start of the season but have a back up plan just in case we don't want to be caught short again as we were when Johnson finally went to Oxford .
  6. Paul Quinn training with Dundee united according to BBC gossip, looks like the championship could have a lot of former well players this year.
  7. The BBC gossip page is reporting that McFadden and Brian McLean are training with Queen of the South .
  8. I can definitely smell shite with this thread.
  9. He will he was never fast enough to keep up with everybody else.
  10. Enough of this size pish if you have heard a rumour of a potential signing just tell us the name ffs.
  11. If he has the talent and the right mindset then they should only need the 1 to impress, but that's him been at Fir park under 4 managers now and had a chance with all of them but not taken, so it implies that either he is not good enough, has a shit attitude or both. So for me time for him to move on.
  12. Not for me he has had several chances to step up but never did, so I would be getting rid of him, obviously not good enough.
  13. Ideally we need cover at both LB and RB, as I suspect Hammell won't go the full season injury free and given Tait's problems last season he might struggle a bit to get back to full fitness. But can we afford the luxury of cover for all positions?
  14. Just read the roles of the SLO's on the Dunfermline site and can't help thinking why is the job needed in the 1st place. Surely all of those functions, assuming that they are similar for Motherwell are stuff that the club should be doing just now to keep supporters informed etc. It seems a lot of work for a volunteer to take on, but i still can't see the need for it.
  15. Not sure what you are referring to re bigger clubs but my concern is with Motherwell. For 2 or 3 seasons now the club has lacked direction and leadership on and off the park, now that the WS are in control that side of the club seems to be moving in the right direction, and hopefully Robinson's rebuild sorts out the team, but he need help so the AM role is important, that's why an experienced coach/AM is essential, somebody who has worked at other clubs at a similar level, can input new ideas, offer alternatives to the manager etc. Yes Lasley may be qualified, know the club well etc but sometimes it's better to bring in a fresh face with new ideas etc. Lasley may well end up as a great coach / manager one day but here and now i don't think he is what the club needs.
  16. Care to elaborate on which part of a reasonable question you consider to be nonsense?
  17. Likewise with me, but only just in Herons case had only been to a few games with my uncle before he left Mothetwell.
  18. By qualified for you mean he has obtained all of the relevant uefa/FIFA badges / licences if so all the better but if not then what makes you think he would be good for the team as a coach. Faddy knew the club well, and I assume was well respected etc last season and it did not look like it made any difference so why would Lasley be any different. A professional club at our level needs an experienced assistant manager not somenody who is untried in the role. I am not saying he could not have some sort of role coaching wise but not as assistant manager.
  19. If true it seems a reasonable return on what he has cost the club, but what annoys me is that if Heneghan was going to Burnley from another lower league English club the probable fee would be a lot more.
  20. Just when you thought the pre-season signings were going well, this happens. We need an experienced coach to help Robinson not another jobs for the boys appointment like Faddy last season. Still looking o the bright side it might keep him off the pitch.
  21. I see your pre-season talking pish training is going well, keep up the good work.
  22. Just seen the pics on the Twitter feed with the roof off you can see how bad the structure is, I hope they are treating the rust and giving it a new paint job as well.
  23. The pitch looked great after the last game so not sure why it had to be relaid this time, but agreed it looks good.
  24. Lasley is done, been a great servant to the club over the years but enough already dump him tell him he won't be getting a new deal and spend the cash on somebody who will benefit the team
  25. I get the impression that Robinson is putting some thought into what positions need strengthening in the team, 2 of the 3 signings so far have addressed the problems we have in midfield so it looks promising . All we need now is a decent keeper and maybe 1 centre half and a left back and we will be sorted.
