  1. If you are going for one of the young ones in defence i would pick Vivian he would add a bit of fight into them
  2. I see Theo Robinson scored for Lincoln today against Brighton to put them in the last 16 of the FA cup.
  3. Samson for me, thought he had a good game and some fine 2nd half saves to keep it respectable
  4. So given the fact that the club has no money who should we be signing ? We would all love to be reading that Motherwell have submitted a 5 or 10 million pound bid for a top player but thats not the world we opetate in. The English and Scottish lower and non league sides are our market so we need to try to find another Moult or Johnson
  5. Its a great idea and should have happened before now, Lasley is done and when he plays he ends up constantly chasing the game the same goes for Hammell both of them have had their day.
  6. WTF has McGhees commute to work got to do with the players stammina are you suggesting that the dont try at training unless he is there? And bringing on Mcmillan never killed the game our midfield being utter pish and the rest of the team sitting back and letting Rangers pass us of the park killed the game.
  7. Agreed we sat back and let them come at us which was only ever going to have one outcome. Miller is Rangers only threat and time after time he was not picked up so it was no surprise he scored. But that said Rangers were the better side from the point skippy got sent off we were all over the place so as much as it pains me to say it they deserved the 3 points.
  8. Fair point we have been unlucky with McHugh he got a bad injury but i am still to be convinced by Clay seems he has more bad games than good and as for Lucas he seems to be permanently injured. with McHugh back things might get better but only if Clay steps up to partner him.
  9. Said it many times Lasley is done but successive managers have failed to see that we desparately need to strenghthen the midfield so until we do he plays and more often than not the team suffers for it, the same us true for Hammell at left back.
  10. Probably found his level, as he has never looked like making it in the premiership with us
  11. you not CM wellfan in disguise are you he likes exotic locations
  12. Motherwell are feckin useless at seeing games out, losing late goals to a 37 year old again, 1 would have been bad enough but 2 is a feckin disgrace. Got our goal and then shat it big time seems to be the Motherwell way at Ibrox, that playoff win seems a lifetime ago now.
  13. and there we are the totally predictable result could have bet my mortgage on that outcome
  14. If he is fit enough to make the bench he should be starting, as we all know how trying to defend with Moult up front on his own will end up. Looks like the old fear has returned giving them more respect than they actually deserve instead of getting right into them from the start.
  15. An inform Ainsworth, there is the big problem with him he is far too inconsistent you never get the same player 2 games in a row add that to his distinct reluctance to track back and defend when required and you get a player who at times is not the best asset to the team. Maybe McGhee sees that as well hence the interest in O'Halloran.
  16. An official approach has been made to Rangers for O'Halloran guess we have to wait and see http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38690688
  17. So am i...shocked it took Oldham 6 months to find them out.
  18. His 1st goal in over a year according to the commentary, not exactly a goal machine is he
  19. I had to read that twice when i saw it either the reporter does not see too much football or Ipswich are utter dross
  20. That's probably the total i.e what we paid for him plus wages, as i recall we signed him on a 3 year deal
  21. For me Moult and McDonald will be missed but it depends on what Ainsworth you are talking about, the quick, effective and unplayable when he is in the mood Ainsworth we occasionally see, or the lazy B**t**d, cant be bothered, never tracks back Ainsworth that we are used too, if its the latter then no he wont be missed.
  22. To be fair i don't think the result would have changed if Randolph was playing, Man City were just too good for them
  23. Motherwell are notoriously bad at negotiating big fees for players so i fear that if an offer similar to what we got for Johnson comes in the we will sell him, which at the end of the day would not be a bad return on a player we did not pay a lot for.
  24. From the SFA, they make no distinction between violent conduct or serious foul play, if its a straight red then he misses next game league or cup 3.8 Serving of Suspensions Suspensions incurred by players shall be served in the competition in which they are incurred and shall be measured by the relevant team of the club (i.e. the team in which the player normally plays) playing the requisite number of matches. The following qualification applies:- A player who is sent off for serious foul play or violent conduct is suspended automatically until such time as his club's team(s) has completed a match in a competition for which he would otherwise be eligible for selection. A player who is sent off for spitting at an opponent or any other person is suspended automatically until such time as his clubs team(s) has completed its next two matches in competitions for which he would otherwise be eligible for selection. (Please refer to Appendix 4 - Guidance Notes on Serving of Suspensions).
  25. Same here Dave just watched the BBC highlights and i think it was a definite Penalty, defenders arm well behind him so a stonewaller for me, and as for the incident with Skippy and Kurtaj, skippy made the most of it but there looked like there was contact from the defenders hand difficult to tell from the TV angle but it looked like a definite push in the face. How did it look from the stand ?
