  1. Picked up the new blue top today and they do seem to be slightly smaller made, would normally get a large but went for XL for a better fit. ps have to mention its a cracking top the long sleeve version looks great
  2. Goal from Marvin..about feckin time it was getting embarrassing
  3. Aye international duties so there will be no league games so no team selection worries for Faddy to agonise over...there do you feel better now.
  4. It all depends on what deal skippy signed up to for the year? The club may say yes to releasing him from the contract if the rumours are true to free up the wages and bring in another player on less money hence saving a few quid. If there is a transfer fee involved as well then all the better. McDonald has been a great asset to the club over the years so i would not grudge him a move back home if he is up for it, and if the deal results in the club making and / or saving a few quid tben all the better.
  5. At least if he was injured he would have an excuse for not producing. How many seasons is that now that we have been waiting for him to step up and make his mark on the 1st team and he never has.
  6. So when we finish top 6, a possible Euro spot and maybe a couple of later round cup matches we will be quids in then, lots of extra cash to add to the budget next season.
  7. freed by a club who were absolute pish for most of the season along with another 8 or 9 equally as bad...aye just what we need.
  8. So is Law still a Motherwell player or not can somebody from the forum employment law department confirm ?
  9. wind your neck in and stop talking shite who mentioned hoops and club colours or club history. The 91 cup win 25th anniversary has been marked and done to death, did we have a 50th anniversary shirt in 2002 for the 52 win no, will we be bringing out a 100 year shirt in 2032 to celebrate our last top league title no, so why did the club feel we needed a strip for the 91 win.
  10. The love in with the 91 cup win is just a bit embarassing now aye it was good but let it drop ffs. A point i noticed is if the 3rd kit has the names of the 91 squad on it does that mean that we are paying those fomer players for use of the names / image rights etc ? If so not sure how much cash is involved but as every penny is a prisoner these days if true it seems an unecessary waste of money
  11. Great idea should always have been the norm, lots of decent tops ruined over the years by shitey logos that nobody wants to advertise, hope they repeat it years to come.
  12. well he is from down underworld so maybe he was
  13. Lets be honest about this even with all the new players settling in, young players getting a run out, lack of match fitness, or any other relevant excuse, we really should be beating the likes of Arbroath and Cowdenbeath it's not a very encouraging pre-season so far.

    Well Bois

Just been acknowledged by ITV commentator on France v Iceland game that the Icelandic slow handclap chant had its origins in Motherwell.
  15. Not as good as my chat with Faddy when he was training with us. 1 week later he signed on the dotted line
  16. In case CM well fan reneges on replying hope this helps soon suːn/Submit adverb 1. in or after a short time. "everyone will soon know the truth" synonyms: in a short time, shortly, presently, in the near future, before long, in a little while, in a minute, in a moment, in an instant, in a twinkling, in the twinkling of an eye, before you know it, any minute (now), any day (now), any time (now), by and by;
  17. Ir was a medium skinny americano to go..he was honest about the deal said it was never an option not to sign but was trying to help the club out, i can only assume he meant that if a decent offer came in the club would get some cash.
  18. Just spoke to Skippy at Costa coffee in East Kilbride he told me he was signing today, not re- signing was never an option so should be made official today
  19. fucking ridiculous. Jobs for the boys. So after wasting another years wage on a geriatric midfielder we hand out 2 YEARS to an elderly left back who has been crocked for near 18 months?! Superb Motherwell
  20. The chance was there 4 years ago to change the way the league was run in scotland for the better but it was not taken by the clubs so now its back to business as usual with 99% of the SPFL's time and effort concentrated on keeping 2 clubs happy to the detriment of the other 40 ably assisted by the shambles that is the SFA.
  21. ok enough already with the back catalogue references..is the footballer any good did Mcghee say I want you
  22. Oh i get the WS society ideal ok i just think its not right for the club in its present form. If this had been launched as a simple share issue to allow fans to purchase a stake in the club up to 51% or whatever percentage was deemed a controlling interest then potentially a lot more people would have got involved and taken up the offer. Obviously there would have to have been sufficient safeguards in place to prevent any 1 individual gaining overall control. What we have now are WS members contributing significant cash year on year to eventually buy a controlling interest and provide a financial reserve to help the club out when times get tough. If the club was living within its means then this extra income would not be required so no need for fans to continually contribute year on year.
  23. Running the club at breakeven...no expectation of making a profit...if thats the plan to run a multi million pound turn over business then we really are fecked. Thats the problem we have, the club is facing the very real prospect of being run by the WS does anybody really think for a minute that they are up to it ? Like it or not the club is a business 1st and football club 2nd so it needs to be run like one ie proper plans in place to increase revenues, keep costs down, expand and develop playing staff and facilites etc. Oh and probably not all consortiums if any are Columbian drug cartels unless thats your experience of any you deal with.
  24. would any well fan really mind if some group with cash to burn bought the club and invested a few quid. At least we would have proper business men running the club and not the bowling club committee that is the WS board.
  25. That would be talking utter bollocks like you then.
