Lets be honest Cash converters is about the level of sponsorship we can attract these days, I can't see many large multi national companies like coca cola lining up to throw large sums of cash at us to advertise their products. Personally I would have no shirt sponsor as I think it ruins the tops but as every penny is a prisoner we have to make the most of every revenue opportunity and find the best deal we can.

could not see that comming but feckin yaaaaaaaaaaas

Faddy straight into the squad today listed as a sub http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/35130133

Lets be honest guys in the grand scheme of things that is Football we are a relatively small club in a small country average crowds from 3.5 to 5k are about as good as we can expect. If you take in all of the various factors the main one being that in Lanarkshire 90% of the football fans support a team based on what school they went to, then we do ok. There are maybe only 6 clubs in Scotland with a larger core support than us, the ugly sisters, Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen and possibly Dundee untd, so we are not too bad. Yes we have dropped a bit in the last 2 seasons but thats down to the team being crap, it will pick up again.
-
I would rather sign somebody with Faddys class and ability than some of the shite we have on our books now, i give you Taylor, Robinson. So jobs for the boys yes i hope it is.
-
The man is a Motherwell legend, he is well past his prime but class is permanent, welcome back.
-
If you are referring to Kennedy yes he was hopeless, hardly won a tackle all game too easily forced off the ball, was all over the place and dived in to concede the pen. I am not writing him off just yet but he needs to improve a bit. Hall had a solid debut and boosted his chances of more 1st team action, competition for places is a good thing for the team.
-
Although we have improved in the last 2 games i cant see anything other than a defeat on Saturday. If we play like we did against Hearts and Dundee then we may get lucky and take something from the game which would be a massive bonus but i think it will be a banker home win on most peoples coupons.

Letting fans buy shares in the club easily and without hassle to eventually have a controlling interest would in my opinion have been a far better and more popular idea than the WS.
-
1 standout from a lot of good performances today, Moult for me he was great today
-
owning and running pretty much the same thing in the context of a football club. If as you say the WS will be the owners with a board of experienced directors running the club, will that board be separate from or part of the WS board? If separate we then have effectively 2 committees each with differing priorities and agendas trying to run the club, how can that possibly be an effective business model?
-
I thought that eventually running the club was the fundamental goal of the WS or has their position changed recently ?
-
Great performance today a deserved win that should have been by a few more goals it was 3 going on 5 or 6 to be honest. Good solid debut start for Hall and Moult was brilliant his work rate is exceptional and scoring nice goals as well, he seems to be getting better each week.

The link still works, just read the 3 brief CV's and I have to say I was not overly impressed by any of them, the 2 people elected seem to have experience in sales and marketing, Optometry products and furniture, so no doubt wanting to run a football club would be the next logical career move. That said maybe the experience of sales and marketing will help to improve the image of the WS and the communication with the members as it seems to have been a bit of a shambles up till now, time will tell how effective they will be and if they manage to attract additional members.
-
Who are Maureen and Markus ? does anybody know anything about them or what experience and talents they are bringing to the WS board ?
-
Think you are spot on with the 2 week break Dave it will benefit nobody and you can guarantee Celtic will have a friendly arranged.

Finished 4-1 so no "Paul Lawson returns to haunt us stories" for people to get stressed about then. Any team with Rangers in the title must be pish it will be a routine stroll to the next round for us.
-
Yes part timers ie Albion Rovers have beaten us, when at the time McCall put out a badly prepared and shit team on that Dodgy plastic at NDP. This time we are at home with a better looking squad and if McGhee gets them prepared properly, this will be a routine victory, but no doubt the pant wetters will suffer sleepless nights until the job is done.
-
At Fir Park we will pump either of them, non league part timers FFS if they keep it to less than 3 or 4 they will have done well.
-
considering some of the utter dross we have had for keepers recently Hollis, Neilsen, and yes Twardzik (3rd choice at Dundee when McCall signed him) Ripley is a step up in class. Granted he is not a Ruddy or Randolph but he is miles better than what we had and if he goes back to Boro in January then we have Samson to step in, who is also better than Twardzik.
-
another performance like the Hearts game will be great we need to get some monentum going and get used to picking up points regularly again. Thistle had a good win last week but they are not that good we can win this one, 2-1 for the good guys.
-
If it was EK away pretty sure the game would be moved, the K park is too small
-
Pearson for me, had a great game in Midfield showed some of the fight and decent tackling we have been missing all season
-
After the shit I sat through in Dingwall last week that was a great game today, we actually looked threatening for a change, a win would have been perfect but on the balance of play a draw was a fair result. The only thing that worried me a bit was after Johnson went off the whole shape and balance of the team changed just to accommodate Ainsworth down the right, we pulled skippy back into midfield and went 1 up front, we sat back and let hearts come on to us.

Try to find and persuade some wealthy individual / consortium to invest in the club, that seems to be the way for most clubs.
