  1. Aye tackling women and running from the polis, quality stuff.
  2. Laing for me, OG aside he was outstanding, strolled through the game.
  3. Killie have lost 2 watched thistle v celtic today and they were pish, hamilton are also pish so there is your bottom 3. St Johnstone, Dundee, and inverness will make up the other 3 in the bottom 6. 1st and 2nd will be Celtic and Aberdeen, and Ross county 6th. I cant see much between us, Dufc, and Hearts so perm any finish from 3rd to 5th.
  4. Not much between the 2 teams, we cant afford not to take all the chances we created today, thats what cost us in the end, a draw would have been a fair result 2-0 flattered untd a bit. PS Madden is an utter arsehole of a referee, there 1st goal came from one of his dodgy decisions
  5. Looks a decent scheme but when you have the potential for several thousand travelling supporters buying tickets each week these initiatives are financially attractive for the transport companies that's why they set them up. However when you scale it down to the level of the average travelling Motherwell support, a couple of hundred at best then it may not be worth their while.
  6. To be honest I think travelling to games on organised buses has had its day. At one time we had 6 supporters clubs running buses to every away game, wishaw, central, muirhouse, shotts, EK, and Belshill now I think we are down to just 3 and that may not be every game. Times have changed re peoples working times, family commitments etc so the vast majority of fans who regularly travel to away games probably drive . That said I think there may be opportunities for organised travel for certain games, cup games, semi or finals, playoffs etc (hope we are never in another one) which the club could look at.
  7. Not having a go but Why unexpected our record up there is good and to be honest ICT are nothing special, I think they may struggle this season.
  8. Our record up there is good, but, given all the rebuilding that has gone on over the summer that's a great result and start to the season. Judging by the reports it probably should have been a couple more but happy with the 1 and the 3 points.
  9. IB knows Twardzik is not good enough to be 1st choice keeper that's why Ripley is here, so I don't think Dan will be surprised at not starting. As for his motivation if the Ripley loan ends in January, he has a contract which given his limited talents might have been difficult to get had he been looking for a club, so he has all the motivation he needs ie a regular pay packet.
  10. Might be a bit too soon for a start tomorrow, but next week yes he will, if he is potentially as good as the info on him suggests he is not here to sit on the bench. And let's be honest Twardzik is not very good so he will be our 1st choice as long as he is fit and still at Fir park
  11. He was a celtic player who signed for Ross county does anybody really give a feck, i dont. More interested in who we sign, ie a new keeper and a holding midfield player.
  12. first few times we were up there the sports bar was ok, but last few visits, its been poor. Jonny Foxes at night, the only place to be especially if you book the premier inn over the bridge, just about 10 mins staggering distance at 3am.
  13. The exchange on academy st usually has a few well fans in on match days, also the phoenix a bit further down on same side is ok, avoid the sports bar on academy st its a shit hole.
  14. He is a good well fan, been to most European adventures, been a season book holder for a few years I think.
  15. No he's not the level of pishness between the 2 is about even. We can do a lot better but the choice of available suitable keepers is limited. That said the season starts a week on Saturday so we need somebody in ASAP.
  16. There is no place for any of that bigoted shite on a Motherwell forum, any contributers on here if they are interested in it should go and register with one of the Orc forums where they can discuss with the experts. This thread needs closed now.
  17. Not so sure there are..every transfer window there are lots of outfield players available but there never seems to be a great choice of keepers. Every now and then there are the great discoveries like Ruddy and Randolph etc but they are the exception. On our budget we need to look to the lower leagues but the choice is limited.
  18. So to sum up you think we are struggling to put a squad together, you think 4 days out to travel to Ireland would disrupt our pre-seaon by playing a diddy team, but given the chance you would go and watch the game..its good to see fans taking a principled stance these days. o
  19. Aye ok somebody went to Albania 6 years ago took some photos..zzzzzzzzz. This is becoming the Motherwell version of the English world cup win in 1966,mentioned for ever at every available opportunity. Its boring now let it go.
  20. 1-0 to Bradford at half time,
  21. When i see a picture of the player on the official site wearing a well top and looking forward to playing for us then it will be confirmed, not before
  22. Trying hard not to lower the tone of the debate but truth be told Twardzik is feckin pish, he was 3rd choice at Dundee FFS, a lazy, badly advised signing by McCall. We need a better keeper end of
  23. You are scaling back your expectations Dave only 7th at best, last season it was a top 6 finish and another push for Europe, good cup runs etc, have you no confidence in IB and his new look Motherwell
  24. Full time 0-0 decent result not sure how strong a team Herenveen fielded though.
  25. Twardzik keeping it at 0-0 according to twitter updates Heerenveen well in control
