Another feckin depressing saturday night in prospect..we get beaten by Accies again and i am night shift.
-
Since Randolph left the keepers we have had at Fir Park have taken lack of abillity and pishness to new levels. Hollis, Nielsen, Twardzik in that order 1st being the worst. We saw a glimmer of hope with Long last season and again this term with Ripley but no long term solution so i think signing Samson may be a shrewd move by IB an experienced keeper who might bring some stabillity to a position we have struggled with since Randolph left. Admitedley he is not the best but on our budget we were never going to sign a Neuer or a Casillas were we

I actually think signing Samson is not a bad bit of business,Ripley probably won't be here past January,Twardzik is not good enough and needs punted, so that leaves Long as our only option ? So we have signed an experienced keeper who may end up as 1st choice 2nd half of the season I don't have an issue with that.

Moult for me never stopped trying and popped up where it mattered to get us level, great game. I think Grimshaw deserves a mention only on 5 mins but he looks like he can play, would like to have seen him from the start. Special extreme pish award mentions for Skippy, McManus and Law.

I am reluctant to criticise a player before giving him time to settle, get used to new team mates, styles of play etc but in Taylor's case i will, he was feckin woeful for 90 mins, anonymous and contributed feck all although that description could apply to any of our so called midfield who started the game. He offers nothing no decent tackles, his passing and distribution is non existant and he always seems to be out of position, no fight no desire, no wonder he was papped out on loan by Reading. I hope that when Pearson is fit Taylor will be warming the subs bench or better still get him back to Reading as he is offering the team nothing.

To be fair 45 secs would have covered the "highlights" the game was dire, but I take your point unless you are playing either of the ugly sisters you don't get a look in. Stick to you tube the coverage of our games on there is decent

Who knows what promises were made by those running the WS to Mr Hutchison to secure the cash advance, I get the impression that promises may have been made re take up from fans that in all reality could not be met. The target of 2000 members by December with our fan base is just not going to happen everybody who wanted to join probably has by now,the rest either don't care or have not been convinced by the whole concept. For me a whole new approach is needed as I don't think that there are enough people out there who want to make a long term financial commitment to finance a football club with no perceived benifit to them as a return on their investment.

Who..? I am not buying into this guff that Accies are somehow better than us, they had their moments last season but the good start saved them from the relegation mire, after Neil left they were rancid. In contrast we were a club in transition last season managed to stay up and the rebuilding process has begun. When you bring in as many new faces as we did in the summer then they will take time to develop and gel as a team, this means a few different combinations of players maybe asking some to play a different role from what they are used to but its all necessary to find out how they can contribute the maximum to the team. IB has a big rebuilding job this year to try to get the club back into contention at the top half of the table and given time i am sure he will do it. Accies however will be constant strugglers in the bottom half they may hang around in the premiership for a few seasons but they will eventually end up back in the championship, that's their level

The major problem with the WS and the concept of fan ownership since day 1 is our limited fan base, the target is 2000 members so on this figure 2000 @£10 a month is £240k a year is this enough to run the club, even with all the other revenue streams added I think not. If we had the fanbase of Hearts, His, Aberdeen etc then fan ownership would be feasible but at Motherwell its not. To secure the future of the club we need to live within our means, get people in charge with proven experience of running and developing a business, maximise all the revenue streams we have etc etc. Crisis loans from ex-pat tax exiles who in all reallity could not give a feck about the club and constantly seeking more money from fans who are already making significant contributions is not the way forward.

On today's evidence there is only 1 winner there Skippy and Johnson were pish

Kennedy for me, looked comfortable all game, never in any trouble

WTF.!!!! When the drugs, drink or both wear off can you repost a sensible comment

Nah we done that rumour last week #loadofshite

Against Dundee untd and Aberdeen and probaly StJ (althouh i was not in perth so cant be sure) we created lots of chances we never took, which if we had we would have more than likely taken something from all 3 games. None of the strikers we have currently are on top form so if Robinson starts to score a few of the chances we are making then it might be a decent bit of business.
-
I would have preferred a home game but apart from that it's a decent draw
-
Utter pish even by your standards, i would love it if we scraped through games 3-1 every week. But this once i will bite, ok we dump IB who would you bring in ?
-
Job done all the pant wetters can go and wring their knickers out now, bring on the Killie.

Thats the problem we have Dave...IB sees these " young players" day in day out and along with the other coaching staff. So if they are not regular starters that tells me that the manager and coaching staff dont think that they are ready and/ or up to the job required. If a player is good enough they will get the chance to prove it. But if the people who are paid to make these choices and probably better qualified to do so than most on this forum decide they are not ready then we need to run with it. I am all for bringing in new players but only if they are better than the options we currently have and will improve the team, sadly in a few positions that need filled we need to bring players in as it looks like we have nobody ready to step up
-
+1 from me on that he is 2nd to every ball constantly chasing the game and as a result we have surrendered the midfield in every game i have seen so far this season, time for a change i think
-
Correct on both counts...but the question remains unanswered is it the rumour or mcgeady thats bollocks
-
Is that hashtag referring to Mcgeady or the rumour ?
-
Guaranteed you never gave it a positive review...1 star from steelboy.

You really need to get out a bit more, find a hobby or something to occupy your time.

Our biggest problem today was the midfield Lasley and Taylor were anonymous and did feck all the whole game. Taylor may be settling in to the team its only his 2nd start so maybe deserves a bit of time to show what he can do. But sorry to say this Lasley is 2nd to every ball he won feck all and as a result we surrendered the midfield right from the off.
