  1. As much as that may be true i hope they dont get out of the championship, another financial crisis and a terminal liquidation for them this time would be my preferred option. The SPFL is a happier and nicer place without them and all the shite they bring with them,
  2. If the Icelandic team get through we play them there on th 24th..and Celtic are due in Iceland on the 22nd or 23rd so yes we are potentially there at the same time. However reports on the BBC say Celtic are in talks to move the game.so it may not happen.but i cant do Iceland so hoping for Bangor
  3. Never got to Wales the last time so hopefully Bangor will get through, and pleased the Home leg is 1st makes getting the time off for the away leg easier.
  4. Great move for him hope he does well.
  5. Aberdeen are allegedly interested in Boyd so money will talk...as i suspect they can offer him a better deal than us. But have to agree he would be a good signing
  6. Cant get time off work for a 3 or 4 day adventure so Wales or Ireland would do me nicely
  7. Any wage he may be offered from us is better than whats he is on now ie feck all..but i really hope we dont sign him he is an arse a billy big boots who got found out big time at Blackburn. Another member for the wasted talent club to join, Riordan, O'Connor, etc
  8. £20 sent via pay pal this morning.
  9. Good bit of business signing Reid, i think he will do well, no mucking about with signings this season it seems, getting our deals done early
  10. You are right Dave, for a "wee diddy club" as some refer to us we do ok, and so far the Football armageddon predicted after Rangers died has not happened. We seem to be living within our means, a bit hand to mouth at times but we are getting there. I can only hope that the new general manager and the board can unearth some other revenue streams / income to give us a bit of leeway if the Well society is not going to hit it's target.
  11. Selling the naming rights to Fir Park for a few years is a great idea as long as it was for a decent wedge of cash. Nobody would care what it was called as they would still refer to it as Fir Park so easy money for the club. Thats the kind of extra income streams the club should be exploring,
  12. Skippy Sunday, best day out at Fir park in a long time, the sight of their greetin faces was worth the ticket money alone, a good old fashioned GITRUY moment
  13. Agree with this, given our average fan base i always thought that the targets set by the WS were a bit ambitious, i think that everybody who can afford to and wants to join has already done so. I think it's now up to the board and / or WS to try to seek some external investment into the club, maximise current revenue streams, and generally try to live within our means. They have done well in recent seasons to try to keep the player budget as high as it can be and this has been rewarded by consecutive runners up spots, European football etc. Fan / community ownership is a great idea but for a club of our size and limited fan base, i dont think it is viable.
  14. Bangor city in Wales for me..easy to get to, big travelling support, nice easy starter.
  15. Wonder when the rumours linking him with Sevco will start,
  16. Not for me, he is no better than what we have just now, so would add nothing to the team.
  17. As we are seeded for Q2, does anybody know if we will be at home for the 1st or 2nd leg, or do we have to wait for the draw , trying to sort out some time off work ?
  18. Now that the season is over and the prize money is being handed out it has highlighted the huge differences between the Scottish and English premierships in the amount of TV and prize money each club receives. As i understand Motherwell received just over £1.6m in prize and TV money (not 100 % certain of that figure) for finishing runners up in the SPFL, while trying to find out how much the English teams received i came accross the following web page http://www.tsmplug.com/football/premier-league-prize-money/ It just shows how vast the differences are, Cardiff finished bottom and they still got £63.7 million !! is it any wonder that the Scottish game is struggling, thoughts and comments please
  19. Watch this 5:27 in the best image of the day. Sensational climax as Well pip Dons at the death:
  20. This..payback is a bitch, Aberdeen have been our bitches up there for nearly 5 years now.
  21. Instead of a slim fit spandex option..aye right why cant we have a sponsor free option. The shirts would look so much better without the cash converters on it. We had it a couple of seasons back so why not every tine
  22. Sutton for me, as slow as a week in the jail but he knows how to score, 22 league goals is a great return
  23. Tend to agree with that, and in addition he has not had a great season on the pitch, one or 2 games playing like we know he can but overall he has been at best average in most games. Will that sort of form bring in better offers from other clubs, i don't think it will. So i fully expect him to be at Fir park next season as well.
