  1. Looks like we won the milk bowl final.....not the milk Cup, so maybe not the top prize http://www.dalefarmmilkcup.co.uk/junior/
  2. The Aberdeen game was on the 11th of May at most the players had 4 weeks off before they came back pre season, you dont become unfit etc in that space of time. Is it really asking too much of players on a decent wage to play 2 games of football a week, i dont think so.

Next season they will, no more trawling the web for dodgy streams.
  4. Partly true we were taking a punt on him financially and if he had performed to the best of the abillity we know he has it would have been worth it. But as he was at best average last season he became a luxury we could not afford.. you can only live on your name and reputation for so long, but eventually you have to deliver and the bottom line is he did not, so no value for money, no deal.
  5. The top 4 i could believe but ICT and Accies top 6..aye right More or less the same squads for most teams as last season so i expect the league to end up the same i.e. Dons, Us, StJ and Untd fighting it out for best of the rest and Europe. Accies going down, Dundee playoff, and the rest mid table mediocrity.
  6. To be honest i think we will still be up there in the fight for 2nd or 3rd. Aberdeen look strong but StJ, Dundee untd and us have more or less the same squads as last season so i think it will between those 4 for the best of the rest and Euro places.
  7. Any game the team plays should be competetive...so the more match practice they get before the 9th of August the better. Who knows if we had played a few more games and been that bit sharper and fitter then we might still be in Europe.
  8. Its down to money i think, the lower levels of the English league, ie League 1, 2 and even some of the conference teams can offer players a lot more money than whats on offer at Motherwell, so we have to work with what we can afford. There may still be hidden gems out there like Randolph but i think they are few and far between. I have to agree though Twardzik, did look a bit vulnerable last night, but its early days so i will reserve judgement for a while, unless Nielsen is not fully fit SMC must see Twardzik as the better option, which given some of Nielsens performances last term is hardly surprising.
  9. Losing a 2 goal lead was bad tonight, we were crusing and gave them an easy way in to the game...then we were very poor for the rest of the game, 2nd to every ball and did nor look fit. I know Stjarnan are well into their season but they are part timers FFS we should have had that tie over by half time. You cant legislate for 2 pen awards but they did look pretty clear cut. Still its 2-2 at half time so the game is there for the winning, so i expect us to get a result up there.
  10. Dont know if he could turn in another 20 + goals season but might be worth a years deal.
  11. And will do feck all for them, he is a waste of talent...had the potential to be a top class player but never used it.
  12. You might be correct there, he started off with Celtic boys club before he went to Rangers. Just higlights the fact why i hope that mob dont get back to the top league, giving abuse to players not for their lack of football skills but based on what school they went to, feckin morons
  13. He would be a great signing but i think his wage demands will be out of our league, he will end up back with Sally and the blue ugly sister.
  14. As much as that may be true i hope they dont get out of the championship, another financial crisis and a terminal liquidation for them this time would be my preferred option. The SPFL is a happier and nicer place without them and all the shite they bring with them,
  15. If the Icelandic team get through we play them there on th 24th..and Celtic are due in Iceland on the 22nd or 23rd so yes we are potentially there at the same time. However reports on the BBC say Celtic are in talks to move the game.so it may not happen.but i cant do Iceland so hoping for Bangor
  16. Never got to Wales the last time so hopefully Bangor will get through, and pleased the Home leg is 1st makes getting the time off for the away leg easier.
  17. Great move for him hope he does well.
  18. Aberdeen are allegedly interested in Boyd so money will talk...as i suspect they can offer him a better deal than us. But have to agree he would be a good signing
  19. Cant get time off work for a 3 or 4 day adventure so Wales or Ireland would do me nicely
  20. Any wage he may be offered from us is better than whats he is on now ie feck all..but i really hope we dont sign him he is an arse a billy big boots who got found out big time at Blackburn. Another member for the wasted talent club to join, Riordan, O'Connor, etc
  21. £20 sent via pay pal this morning.
  22. Good bit of business signing Reid, i think he will do well, no mucking about with signings this season it seems, getting our deals done early
  23. You are right Dave, for a "wee diddy club" as some refer to us we do ok, and so far the Football armageddon predicted after Rangers died has not happened. We seem to be living within our means, a bit hand to mouth at times but we are getting there. I can only hope that the new general manager and the board can unearth some other revenue streams / income to give us a bit of leeway if the Well society is not going to hit it's target.
  24. Selling the naming rights to Fir Park for a few years is a great idea as long as it was for a decent wedge of cash. Nobody would care what it was called as they would still refer to it as Fir Park so easy money for the club. Thats the kind of extra income streams the club should be exploring,
