Excellent post, if we can get mcmanus and faddy signed it will be great business and added to Lawson, Vigurs and Neilson SMC will have done well. We have the makings of a good side for the coming season, i am looking forward to it.
-
I would boo him, he is an obnoxious, talentless wee prick who i hope never to see anywhere near a Motherwell shirt.
-
Dont you just love google translate....we should adopt "The Scottish Motherwell" for our euro campaign
-
Nijholt went to FC Utrecht when he left us..we played them over there in Oct 98 as part of the deal as i recall...good Well support there that day
-
Positive thinking, he is off to the training camp because he will sign on for a new deal, SMC knows his abilities so no need to take him along to evaluate him, he is going because he will be a vital member of the team next year
-
They are normally 1pm CET which is 2pm GMT, but its UEFA so it could be anytime

Link from the BBC showing a bit of what Nielsen can do...i think he will be a good signing for us http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/scotland/23171149

As sombody who was involved with local supporters branches and the Motherwell supporters association many years ago, ( Yes i dealt with Martin Rose) i found that the people who are active in these various committees are judged on their actions and what they achieve for their members. The same is true now with the supporters trust and now the Well society. Personally i never signed up to the WS as i was not convinced of its merits at the time, but i may join this year. The people who are active in the WS give their time and effort, and if they are seen to be doing a good job in representing the fans views and interests, then this may encourage others to sign up, ie will the fans views be heard and considered by the board when making any decisions relevant to them. The WS and the people who have been elected to manage it on behalf of the members will be judged on their actions and achievements in getting the fans views heard and respected, so if they do this well then i would not grudge any of them a jolly to Nyon. However if the general concensus from the members is that the WS is a bit of a talking shop, offering no real benefits, whether financial or influence on club policy regarding fans issues etc then its elected officials will be viewed differently. In this scenario the WS chairman going off on a jolly to Nyon may be viewed as a bit too cosy and taking the benefits for doing nothing . But it is down to the WS members to stand up and be counted, only they have the power to remove officials from office if they consider them to be failing in their obligations.

Enough already with the Bullseye references..

Higdon is as slow as a week in the jail and he banged in 26 Goals last season !! , i actually think Sutton has a bit more pace, he scored goals for us in his last time at Fir park so no reason to think he wont score more this season. (assuming we get him signed)

It does not matter how much of a positive spin we try to put on it but SMC has a huge re-building task for next season. We have lost Randolph, Law, Humphrey, Ojamma, as well as Higdon, Hatley and McFadden (subject to official confirmation) thats 7 out of the 11 players who would start every week !! So far we have brought in 2 players who seem to be decent signings, and hopefully there will be a few more, but we seem to be the only team in the league losing 75% of their 1st choice team. Given our level of success in recent years, Regular European qualification, champions league, cup finals, league runners up etc it will be a major achievement for SMC if we can get anywhere near the standard we set last season. That said, the signings he has made (apart from Daley ) have all performed well, so i am confident that he will do the same again and build another team, it will be an interesting season ahead.

The teams were split into seeded and unseeded groups each of them was given a random number ie 1-8 etc within the group and then a seeded and unseeded group were drawn against each other. The ties were 1 (seeds) V 1(non seeds) etc. Its all seemed a bit complicated but given the length of time Uefa have taken over these draws in the past, it was a vast improvement

I was...posted from phone, so no whistling smiley, Sutton is pish, if he has a brilliant season you might get 2 or 3 goals !!!!
-
Agree with that..getting Sutton back would be a good move, but only if Higdon goes, the two of them can't play together.
-
FFs that patter is honkin..
-
Just been on stv news..he is off to Poland the club have allegedly agreed a fee with Legia Warsaw around £350 k...3 year deal for Ojamma
-
As much as Scooojy and Ekwellfan have put a lot of effort into analysing the EL draw between the 2 of them we now have potentially 12 different opponents FFS !!! Lets just wait till the draw is made then we can talk about where we are going.
-
if he signs, plays well, scores a few goals and helps the team progress and do well, then I don't give a feck about his personal hygene..he will be one of our own and should be supported. Then if he turns out like Daley he is fair game
-
Thank F**k for that, Goodwillie is an obnoxious wee fud who was found out big time at Blackburn, he would bring nothing to the team.
-
The majority of the seeded teams in the Q3 draw give me the fear its going to be tough.
-
Agree with that getting to the play off round is possible with a favourable draw..but getting through another 2 games against a potentialy stronger team to make the group stages will be a big ask. However that said on our day we are good so never say never and if we can keep the likes of Faddy, Higdon, Humphrey and Ojamma we will be contenders in every game
-
Not caring where we get drawn...will be doing my best to get there..but would love an easy trip...eurostar to Brugges would be my choice.
