Happy days,when we had no fear playing either of the ugly sisters...winning 3-0 we handed Aberdeen a great chance to win the league that day,all they needed at Ibrox on the final day was a draw and they fucked it up...

Going by the Twitter pictures it looked a sore one, a few stiches required. not heard anything official but would not be surprised if he did not play on Saturday

Rovers are a poorly supported club, according to Google their average attendance for the 2012-13 season was only 387, with a high of 853 and a low of 206 !!! so i dont think tickets will be an issue. Even though they are another lanarkshire club, i dont think there is a derby edge to the game, as we have met on very few occasions over the years. There is no point in them moving the tie, there is no demand from their own fans and i reckon we will take probably 1k (maybe 1.5 k as its a local game) max so Cliftonhill will be big enough.

Great draw, a nice easy starter for us, and its a ground i have never been to,assuming the game stays at Cliftonhill, will this count as a lanarkshire cup semi final as well ?

It will be another tight game as united are on a good run, but our home record is good and i think that will continue. In recent weeks the standard of our play has been pish at times, but we get the results ie Hearts, Ross county, 2nd half v Hibs. So i think we can get something from the game, i am going for a score draw but hopefully we can sneak all 3 points, either way we wont lose.

Possibly undeserved 3 points... dont talk pish. It may not have been pretty at times but we pumped them, in 94 mins Nielsen had 1 save to make. Better finishing and a bit more luck, ie Aniers shot going through williams legs and hitting his heel ffs and the scoreline would have reflected our dominance. Yes Hibs came on to us in the 2nd half but they got nowhere they are murder and got what they deserved from the game ie feck all. Ps i agree with you about Faddy, contributed nothing so far this season

Great win today...it should have been at least 3 by half time, Hibs are utter pish. 2nd half we sat too deep and let them come on to us, but in all honesty they never looked like scoring, Nielsen only had 1 save to make. Hutchinson was poor, but his pro foul saved a goal and got us the win. Considering we ended the game with only 1 of the back 4 that started, it was a good 3 points. Joint 2nd and only 5 off the top, we are doing ok

Where do we go from here ? well now that the treble is off our main focus needs to be the league and Scottish cup double, with a good preparation for next years champions league.

I dont think they are any better than us, but their manager got their tactics spot on last night, after the sending off he ditched Zola and brought on Considine to shore up the defence. It was plain to see that we offered no threat up front, Aberdeen were happy to sit deep and defend, which given our main tactic of punting aimless high balls at them was not difficult to do. They had more pace than us going forward which they used to good effect and got the right result from it. As for SMC he looked as though he had no plan B, after 20 mins it was obvious that Lawson was contributing nothing and ZFA spent more time passing the ball back to Hammell than going forward. At half time he should have brought Faddy on as well and put him up top with Sutton and Anier to really go at them, but what did we get instead, more aimless runs with no end product from ZFA ( well 1 decent cross that really should have been converted) and then we get the final tactical master stroke, he brings on McHugh Against 10 men for 80 mins we really should have won but tactically we fucked up big time and let them off, as the game wore on they went for it on the counter and got their reward.

1st time ever i have registered a null vote..the whole team was poor tonight..

That was a right boot in the baws tonight..but we got what we deserved..feck all..no pace or threat up front,midfield all over the place, we could have played till next week and not scored. ZFA..oh dear he is woeful at times, lots of pace but does feck all with the ball, 1 decent run and cross all game, and dont get me started on Hammell. As for SMC bringing on McHugh before Faddy what the feck was he thinking ffs. It was all so predictable tonight 80 mins against 10 men and we bottled it big time. Its not my 1st dissapointment as a well fan and it wont be the last. So the treble is off, i will get over it, bring on the Hibs on Sunday.

Keep the faith guys,we are a different team at Fir Park, and i fully expect a great reaction from the players after yesterdays dross. Its been a long tine since Aberdeen beat us twice in a season..it wont happen on Wednesday. It will be a hard game but we will win, i am going for 3-1 to the good guys

A good save by Nielsen, maybe not " a wonder save" but he did his job and kept it out, its a pity the rest of the defence failed to do their's and stood around watching Stevie May running in to score.

Sutton for me, thought the big man was great today, winning headers, everything stuck to him and his passing and distribution of the ball was superb.

Pish...Ross county , never mind ifs and should have, they got beat...against Morton, Celtic created enough good chances to win 10 games but bad finishing cost them, Morton created nothing, got the pen and rode their luck to the end. Against Inverness by all accounts a draw was a fair result, again missed chances by Celtic. The bottom line is Celtic are a better team than us, What would you rather have at Parkhead, Motherwell going for it big time and leaving space at the back, and getting pumped or playing it tight, keeping the team shape and waiting for a chance, or a set piece opportunity to maybe earn a point or maybe 3. Why is setting up a team to get a point at least against the best team in the country on their own patch considered to be "Gutless" ? If the game had finished a draw on Saturday would we be criticising SMC for earning a point, i think not. As is the case every season anything earned against the ugly sisters is a bonus the important results are how we perfom against the other 10 teams in the league. yes it is great to beat them and in Celtics case our recent record is not too bad over the years, (the less said about Sevco the better) but if we dont i am not worried, if you are going to lose a league game, then doing it in the same week when all your close rivals do the same is a bonus. So bring on the Hearts and lets get back to winning ways.
