Feckin pish all round...Inverness is our away weekend up on the Friday afternoon...game on Saturday..2 good nights and train back Sunday at 12:30, thats fecked now...not a happy bunny
-
Agree with that, they changed to Motorola at the start of the 1991/92 season just before the Katowice game
-
Voted for ZFA thought he had a great game, solid at the back, did not panick and looks like he has some pace going forward, might be some competition for Hammell there. 2nd pick was Higdon, thought he was unplayable today, great 3 goals, but opted for ZFA great shift in his 1st full start.

According to yesterdays BBC scottish football gossip page, SMC will be given limited funds to strenghthen the squad before Fridays transfer deadline. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19395766

Football ability and goal scoring wise he is good but he is an obnoxious wee shite with a terrible attitude that has seen him dumped from club after club, an arrogant wee ned who the club can well do without.
-
Just watched STV news and the lead sports story was a statement from SMC that he is hoping to add to the squad by Friday transfer deadline...no other details...has Faddy signed with anybody yet ?
-
Gutted that we never held out and took the win to go top....but being honest St Mirren played well and deserved at least a point..we never killed the game off and paid the price. But 4 games in and we are unbeaten and a point off the top so a decent start.

I think the same we have a shot at league and cup glory every season, but European matches are special. While winning a cup is great and i would love to see it every year the club will get more benefit from European participation and progress. Playing in the CL and EL will get Motherwell more financial reward than winning the Scottish or League cup. I want to see Motherwell win everything but as the European nights are few and far between thats where i want to see us progress, because if we become regular participants in Europe and i mean not just the qualifiers but the groups then the club gets more money. This money can then be used to stabilise the club and strenghthen the team, which will mean we have a better chance in the domestic campaigns each year.
-
Presumably Hutch got the standing ovation for being the best of a bad bunch, putting in a great shift, not shirking away from tackles and preventing another goal for Levante.
-
Yes qualifying is a great achievement but in recent seasons we have been qualifiying on a regular basis, so for me just being in the early rounds is not enough, i want to see us develop and take the next step and have a taste of the group stages. It does not matter what competition you are playing in, domestic or European league or cup competitions every team wants to improve and do better than their last attempt. We may never go that one step beyond and get to a group stage but we need to try and on a few of the games mentioned previously we have not done ourselves justice, so we need to learn and up our performances, scoring a few more goals would be a start
-
Expectations are not great...been following Motherwell too long to realise that..but we need to be making progress in Europe and taking the next step to EL groups, and that means scoring goals. Thats 3 attempts now (4 if you think Levante game is over) to secure group stages AS Nancy, Odense and Panathinikos and we are 1 for, 13 against. I am not saying we had the quality to beat these teams but we need to start converting chances to give us a glimour of an opportunity

Just had a look back at all of our 25 European matches to date and the record is not the best Played - 25 Won - 9 draw - 1 Lost - 15 For - 32 Against - 29 So in league terms 28 points from a possible 75 its not the best. And remember that nearly 50% of our goals came against 2 of the diddy teams HB Torshavn (7) and Flamurtari ,8 so against some of the more able sides our goal scoring record is poor.
-
Tactics were not the problem last night....players having a pish poor game and not playing their best on the night was.
-
Dont agree with that, for me Levante did not look any better than a top half SPL side who we face week in week out, they were ordinary. We gifted them 2 goals and created nothing against them so they were not stretched, Motherwell needed to be at their best last night and we were not. The Levante front players did not look anything out of the ordinary ability wise but they had a bit of pace which when the ball went over the top as it did frequently, they were creating chances from it and turning our defence. We had Higdon as the target while he has scored a few goals, he is a slow as a week in the Jail. We spent large parts of the game last night playing the ball across the middle of the park and back and forward from defence to midfield and going nowhere, the Levante players were just sitting back and enjoying the break. Levante were there for the taking last night and we fecked up yet again, ( AS Nancy, Odense, Levante ) its a familiar story.
-
Adam Cummins for me, thought he was outstanding last night, he looks a real prospect. As for Hatley and Lasley they were pish an absolute nightmare for the 2 of them
-
His work rate is good and he will chase down everything but he is a greedy wee shite, he wants to try to score every time he is heading for goal, which is not a bad thing and being honest if he did we would not be having this debate. But the problem for me is that he needs to look up now and again and realise that sometimes there are other players better placed than him to score or continue the move. I like his style and application and i think that he is an assest to the team, but thats the problem he needs to familiarise himself with the concept of a team and pass the ball more often.

Any suggestions for the best place for the Well fans to meet up in Valencia next Thursday...Bars..main squares, public fountains etc
-
I am currently paying £380 a year plus extra for catering etc to pay players wages...its called a season ticket. As for the original idea no.. its daft
-
I think that as well...as i understand it if you are a free agent, you can be signed at any time, can anybody confirm this ?
-
To be fair they took £8 for the 10 euro Panathinikos tickets so hopefully they will do the same again and charge the sterling equivilent, probably £29 but expecting to pay £30. Edit - its official tickets will be £28
-
You would think that McFadden would be keen to get back playing competetive football again..and get himself in the shop window. Any offer he gets is better than the one he currently has ie Feck All, but he is obviously chasing the Cash... its dissapointing.
-
Away tickets are on sale...all tickets €35 3,5 times the cost of the CL away tickets ffs
-
They look cool ...the shop should sell them, couple on my deck would look good

Motherwell dont have the depth of squad to be able to drop players like Ojamma...you dont have to score lots of Goals to be a good player and have a big influence on games, his pace and movement creates lots of chances for others to convert. Granted he can be a bit greedy at times when there is a better option available, but he carries a threat and therefore he should be one of the 1st names on the team sheet.
