Would it not be better to take a friend with a season book, then you would be chilled.
-
SECC is Scottish Exibition and conference centre, on the Clyde it has its own station but you would need to change trains at Glasgow central, its only 2 stops. From here you can get the train to mount Florida, which is the nearest station to Hampden. To be honest if there are a couple of you the best option is a taxi, its only about 3 miles
-
we are getting a good deal, best mates cousin owns clyde valley limo's 13 seater is working out at £17 a head return
-
Meeting in Pub in Wishaw for opening time, then 12 of us picked up by Limo at 12, chilled carry outs and party stuff organised, Dropped off at Hampden, then Limo back after the game, if we win i will probably get home by Monday morning
-
The capacity for Hampden is around 56,000 i suspect about 10 to 15 k of this will go to corporate sponsors, and all the SFA hangers on, other member clubs etc. This takes the available tickets for the paying punters down to around the 41 K mark, so motherwell should be pushing for at least 20 K. It wont happen though as the tattie munchers will claim as many as they can and the SFA will do the usual thing and give in to them. PS Has the figure of 4 tickets per season book been confirmed ?
-
I was implying on the 21st of May only, but that was pretty much the format for me in 91 so don't see any reason to change now
-
Thats what fans who buy season tickets expect a cheaper deal than paying at the gate for individual games, and first pick for any tickets not because they think they are better than anybody else. The corporate sponsors would also expect the same. There needs to be some incentive for buying the season book or sponsoring the team, if not why would people bother putting the money up front.

are, you mental cup final day is about getting up early, get together with your mates for a few beers before getting on your bus, limo, car ,train or whatever mode of transport you are using to get to Hampden, in the ground early to enjoy the atmosphere and build up before cheering the well on to victory. Not walking 10 miles probably in the pishing rain, not being able to have a drink and arriving at hampden knackered, if God had meant us to walk he would not have invented the internal combustion engine.
-
whats wrong with people who make a big financial commitment to the club, ie season ticket holders getting first the first chance to buy tickets, not just for the final but for any game ?
-
Presumably then as we have no chance you will not be buying a ticket and going to the game, so why dont we all just not bother turning up and give the cup to Celtic. What a fud you are We have already beaten them this season, and on our day we are a match for anyone, we will have to be at our best, but if the players cant get themselves fired up for a cup final, then its a sad day. Motherwell are always underdogs, thats why it is all the better when we win. So lets live the dream again, its been 20 years, we are due another trophy. MON THE WELL

SMC's haircut is the same now as it was in 1991
-
The dream solution for Motherwell would be to win both games against Celtic, hopefully the league game to deny them the title as a bonus, but in the real world we all know that wont happen. If all Well fans are being honest i think that they hope that Celtic do win the title, before we play them, that means Europe for us again. We can then turn up at Parkhead with no pressure pump them and spoil the party, and do the same in the Final. The Europa place for the cup winners / runners up is straight in to 3rd qualifying, and given our recent record we might even be seeded. So being honest and i never thought i would utter these words i hope Celtic win the league, as the longer term benefits to motherwell are greater.
-
wonder what the correct score odds for 4-3 to motherwell AET would be with Gloria coming on as a sub to score the winner It might just pay for the European trips
-
As a motherwell fan you are lucky if you get to see your team in a major cup final once in your life, i have now been to 2, scottish cup 1991 and CIS 2005, and now it will be 3 so l am going to enjoy every minute of it. We will be underdogs but who cares, Celtic are beatable as we have proved already this season, so we have nothing to fear. Lets get as many well fans as we can to Hampden on the day, its been 20 years since we won anything, so as the East stand mob stated at the dundee united game its time for new hero's. Last game of the season another Skippy sunday, beating Celtic at their own midden to deny them the league title, then another 4-3 AET victory to win the cup a week later, and i will die a happy man. mon the well

As i have said before the man is a waste of space, how much money has this fud cost the club this season , for zero return ? With the depth of squad we have if he was any good or showed any promise he would have been playing on a regular basis. Brown signed him then never played him, SMC obviously does not rate him so release him now and spend the money securing new deals for Sutton , and Jennings.
-
Totally agree, its time the club got tough and put the boot in, but Brown is a sleekit wee :wank: who manipulates the media with his nice old gentleman routine and they all take it in. The club should tell him if you want your bonus then you accept that you had some form of contract and if so we will be taking the matter to the SFA / SPL and reporting Aberdeen for tapping you up for the Pittodrie job. Deal or no deal

The top 6 place is sorted ICT are not going to get 3 wins in a row against Killie, Hearts and Celtic, at the most they may get 4 points, 3 from Killie and 1 from Hearts. We can go to Tynecastle and enjoy ourselves and keep the good form going, Hearts are struggling a bit just now, 4th place is still a possibillity. Mon the well

Someone at Fir park is telling porkies with the official attendance figures the East, Cooper and the POD stands were all about 90% full as was the South stand, given that the official capacity is approx 13,400 or so and they announced a crowd of just under 9,000 !!! I dont know where the other 4,000 fans were going to sit . Even allowing for all the hospitallity and corporate punters who dont go through the turnstiles it just does not seem correct. But all that aside it was a cracking atmosphere at the game and in my opinion lowering the ticket prices will get more fans in the door, so heres hoping it will continue. Only downside was the embarassment of having to tell the United fans that there was not enough pies to go round, did they think that there would only be a few busloads of united fans down, the catering at FP is a joke
-
We have 3 games in a week coming up at Fir park that will decide how good a season we have had, 3 wins and it will be 2 semi final appearances, a decent European adventure, a top six finish, and a decent chance to make the scottish cup final with the possibility of Europe on offer for the winners or runners up if celtic win it and win the league. So lets get right behind the team, mon the well
-
Why silver is that the colour that was on special offer from the manufacturer or does motherwell have a silver strip in their past history, i thought the original colours were blue and white stripes.
-
I have been a season ticket holder for a long time now so i will be renewing it again next season, i have watched the product on offer in the original 10 team premier league and it was not any better than what we get now, 2 teams fighting it out for the title 2 or 3 avoiding relegation and the other 5 hoping for third place , or a cup win etc.
-
you should get the first half of the game free, leave at half time and pay back in

Happy days, we all met in Tam parks, about 10.30am on the Saturday for a few beers the off to the game with the Wishaw branch of the supporters club, i think we ran 5 buses that day and could have filled 6 but there were no more for hire anywhere. After the game we were heading back to Fir park but the fud of a bus driver went the wrong way so we missed the celebrations there, ended up in the cherry tree till chucking oot time then back to mates mum's house in Muirhouse ave for more drink, till god knows when. Sobered up enough to make the parade the next day to see the team and the cup then back for more partying, the rest of the weekend details are a bit hazy but i know the hangover lasted for nearly a week.
