We all need to get right behind Celtic and the wee ginger bawbag and force some changes at the SFA

Please no, the man is a Fud

Watch the recording of the game, particularly the bits with the ref in them, thats good enough evidence for me.

A poor showing from Motherwell last night, the defence did not look comfortable all night, but we were manhandled and kicked off the park with no protection from an arse of a referee . Hearts were in our faces every time a well player got the ball and we could not deal with it, we did not get the ball wide enough, high balls to a defence as big as Hearts is hopeless, the few occasions we got in behind them we looked dangerous. Blaming individual players is nonsense, that was probably our strongest 1st 11 and they all tried and played some good stuff at times, but we were up against probably the best on form team in the country just now, Lasley's goal was the first hearts had conceded in over 5 games. I don't think we are going to finish 3rd this year but we are on course for 4th which will get us back into Europe. I dont think there were any bad performances last night, what dissapoints me though is that we did not make Hearts work for the win, 1 OG and a pen !! but considering that was our 1st game in over 3 weeks we done well. Best player on the park was Gow, his best performance in a well shirt so far, and a Keith Lasley goal !! that's a collectors item. Onwards and upwards, mon the well.

+1 I have been following motherwell since my first game at fir park in 1969 and apart from the odd cup game, European match etc our crowds have always been poor and they always will be. Thats because we suffer from where we are, ie far to close to Ibrox or Parkhead, though to be fair 99.99% of Celtic fans support the team on religious grounds so thats not an issue. We are never going to attract big crowds when each week thousands of fans travel from the local area to watch rangers. I have no problem with that its their choice on who they support, but we should be content with who we are and our identity as a club. Apart from the old firm and their Edinburgh cousins the only clubs who get higher average gates are Aberdeen and possibly Dundee untd so we are no different to the majority of SPL clubs. I have always said that it's easy to support a big team such as Man untd, Chealsea, Rangers, Celtic etc the glory hunters always have, but the real football fans are the ones who turn up week in week out at Motherwell, Albion rovers, Inverness etc, so we should be proud of who we are and who we support. Mon the well.

Steve Clarke has no experience in his own right, he has always been a 2nd in command and working with big name players and their big ego's at clubs with plenty of Money. He has no or very little experience of the game in scotland today. Motherwell need someone who can work on a very limited budget, with good contacts to unearth players that will do a turn for us, ie Humphrey, Coke, Jennings, Jutkewitcz etc as well as giving our young players a chance. The Motherwell team is young so they need experience to get the best from them, so i think we need to be looking at a manager with previous experience and a decent record, my shout would be Jimmy Calderwood.
-
I was watching Jimmy Calderwood on Sportsscene results last night and he was asked a direct question if he was interested in the job at motherwell, he could not have been more evasive or cagey with his reply, he never said he was not interested. Is a return to management for the 2 jimmy's on the cards ?? But being serious his record is not too bad, lots of experience, used to working with linited budgets, good contacts in the UK and Europe, he might be worth a try.

Why not advertise it some people might be thinking of getting one a a christmas present for a friend or loved one

+ 1 What a stupid fuckin suggestion

I hope its not the case but i have been watching Motherwell for to long and our record in games like this, ie teams needing a win etc is not good, so i am concerned about the game next week. Brown will know exactly how we are going to play, Aberdeen can't get any worse so the omens are not good . I sincerely hope i can post after the game and admit i was talking pish but i am worried. We have probably the most important 2 games of the season coming up, starting on Tuesday against Hearts, and then Aberdeen away, 2 wins will get the teams confidence and season back on track, and get it right up Brown as a bonus.
-
Why do some people on this forum seem to shoot their load every time Casagolda's name is mentioned ? He is a waste of space he was given a chance by Brown but has done nothing, he is either permanently injured, or just pish, the sooner we tell him to GTF the better and free up some money to bring in a player that might actually contribute something to the team.
-
They are all delusional arseholes who still think its the early 80's and they are a good team. The board got rid of arguably their most sucessful manager in recent times,Jimmy Calderwood after a string of , Aitken, Skovdahl, Patterson, Heggarty and the last one McGhee. They are a team going in 1 direction down, Brown may have some inital success and may even save them from going down, but i give him 18 months at best then he will be off as well. The Aberdeen fans and board deserve all they get and that will be nothing.
-
Blackman staying is a no brainer, but i think thats a bit harsh on the other 2, Gow has the potential to be a decent player he needs an extended run in the team, he has hardly been a regular for any team recently. Fitzpatrick is not the best but if he can stay injury free he can be a solid midfielder, with him in a mid 4 with Lasley, Jennings and Humphrey we can do well.
-
The best protest we can make to to get as many fans as possible up there, and give the team and whoever may be in charge great support to get it right feckin up that mob. They are shit and Brown and Knox wont change that They are not worth shouting at, onwards and upwards, Mon the Well

So the lying two faced auld B*st*rd thinks its a better job at Aberdeen, he has not even started yet and he is as dellusional as their fans who think that because they won a few things 30 years ago, they should be title challengers and European contenders. We heard all this guff when McGhee took over and look how that turned out so lets hope the pair of old arseholes get all that's coming to them. If ever a Motherwell team should be up for a game its next week up there, lets hope we get it right up them.
-
Why all the worry, does it matter who we get as the new manager, their previous record or lack of it is irrelevant as they will not be working with the same level of player ie moving from division 1 to SPL players as would be the case for Chisolm. All that matters is their tactical and coaching abillity and getting the best from the resources at their disposal. We need a quick appointment as we have a run of trick games coming up, so if we get Chisolm and Dodds then so be it, the well fans should get right behind whoever gets the job, and reserve judgement till the end of the season then we can critisise if necesarry. Mon the Well

We need a manager who can work on a limited budget and develop the home grown talent we have. Also a manager with respect in the game and a good contact book is essential for unearthing new players and persuading others to sign for us. We benefited from Butcher as an ex England captain and Brown as ex scotland manager in that respect. I would not like to see any of the usual suspects get the job, ie McPherson (done nothing with St Mirren, so cant see him being any better with us), John collins ( Lives in Monaco, failed miserably at Hibs, cant work on a limited budget, and a fud into the bargin), John Hughes ( his record at Falkirk and Hibs is enough to bar him from the job) For all his faults and despite the fact that i think he is a fud i would not be too bothered if McGhee and Leitch came back, in his first season he had the team playing some of the best footie i have seen from Motherwell. Ok that was with a better crop of players than we have now but we have the core of a good side, so he might do a turn again.
-
Totally agree i have lost all respect for the two of them, but onwards and upwards, i would not be surprised to see McGhee and Leitch back but no doubt we will be linked with all the usual out of work suspects. I hope it all goes horribly wrong for the two faced auld B*st*rd up there, we can get it right up them by winning up there next week. Mon the well

I dont think the game has any chance of being on, BBC reporting Tannadice as under several inches of snow. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/s...rem/9269733.stm

Great news, lets hope the good work can continue and we get another European adventure this season.
-
Media pish it wont happen, Billy Stark will get the job, you could walk into the bookies and ask for odds on Jose Mourinho for the job and they will quote you but he wont be getting it. So pay no attention to who the bookies or STV etc think are favourites. Anyway if Brown and Knox go we will get someone else and as long as they do a good job i don't care who manages the team. We could do a swap and get McGhee back

This whole sorry episode originated from someone with obvious Celtic tendancies running to the press and grassing up Dallas, the Catholic church then decided to stick their nose in and bleat to the press, which i am sure ultimately cost dallas his job. So the two of the are linked, as they always have been since celtic was founded by Brother Walfrid in 1888. So i have no doubt that those in charge at Celtic park were fully aware of the press statements etc from Kearney before they went public.
