  1. That was a very strange signing, according to his wiki page he's had 4 clubs including us since 2020 and registered a total of 7 appearances, plus I think he had 1 as a sub for us in the league cup, so 8 in 4 years. The stats say he has only scored 11 goals in his entire club and international career since 2009, would love to know who recommended him as a good signing.
  2. Consistency is an unknown concept for Scottish referees, I thought the new VAR technology would end all these debates, but it hasn't, all it's done is highlight the fact that the referees are worse than we imagined at times.
  3. Correct, definite pen but he did not deny a certain goal, Butland had the ball covered if Souttar had missed it so no red card required.
  4. How is it the same ffs, souter wasn't red carded so no appeal required. Anyone who thinks Casey should not have been sent off yesterday is talking shite it was a clear handball on the line preventing a certain goal, none of the players complained, VAR confirmed the refs call so the correct decision was made. Why waste money on an appeal that's never going to be upheld. Casy took one for the team, he made a brilliant save to stop the goal and Oxborough done the same to save the pen.
  5. Why waste time appealing, watch the sportscene coverage he just about caught the ball that was heading into the net, so a penalty and a red card for preventing a certain goal was the only option.
  6. Did not make the game today but watching the sportscene coverage, when they slowed it down and showed the zoomed in still shot it did look a clear handball. In real time not clear and obvious but I'm surprised VAR cleared it given they have access to the same tech as the TV companies, as Miller did get an advantage as the pace was taken from the ball and it dropped nicely for him. That said it made up for the similar goal we conceded against Ross County last season at Fir park so I'm not complaining.
  7. Cardiff are having a shit season so far, still bottom of the championship I think, I've kept an eye on their matchday squads and Turnbull is getting game time but not a regular starter, other than financially, for me it was a bad choice moving there, but I don't know if he had other offers.
  8. I don't think the tickets will be an issue, every Motherwell fan who wants one will get it, including the day trippers.
  9. Who we want is irrelevant if the draw goes to the SPFL plant it will be one of the ugly sisters. If somebody makes a mess of the draw then its Aberdeen and an SPFL official gets his p45 in the post.
  10. Aye was always going to be that, SPFL rules dictate we will draw an ugly, I hope it's the blue one.
  11. 100% this VAR should be binned immediately it's ruining the game
  12. Spartans in the semi would be nice, or Falkirk or Dundee 😂
  13. Its nothing to do with the way our fans turnout, our core support has been stable for decades, it's almost entirely geography based, location, location, location as they say. We are a top flight club right in the middle of the ugly sisters prime territory, with the sectarian baggage that comes with them so we are never going to attract any of those fans as they all do what's been bred into them since birth and join the blue and green hoardes. Some will turn out for a cup final, but that's usually because their big team are not involved.
  14. In the 50 odd years I've been attending games at Fir Park, the crowds have never been great, they were probably larger on average back then, but people's habits change, different work patterns, increased cost etc limit today's attendances. 4 to 6K is about the limit for our home crowds plus how many thousands of fans travel from our traditional catchment area to support the ugly sisters every week? We have our stable core support, various things have been tried over the years but we are never going to significant crowd increases, maintaining what we have is more important.
  15. Trying too hard now, you don't rate him ok we all know, time to move on, nothing to see here.
  16. Simple facts like that don't register with Steelboy, if they don't back up his random quotes and agendas they never happened and are therefore ignored.
  17. A sponsor free option for any of the 1st 2nd or 3rd kits would sell extremely well, the club is missing out on a significant potential income. Assuming the terms of the deal with provan sports actually include the club getting any percentage of the sales revenue. If it means being a bit more creative and ruthless with the sponsorship deals to include the club selling sponsor free options, then so be it.
  18. Good to see you back posting, 1-0 down at half time your Saturday must be going well so far it's been a tough few weeks for you.
  19. Correct, Been saying that re Clarke and Gemmil for a couple of years, both of them are hopeless. The likes of Turnbull, Campbell, Miller, Doak, Morgan, and all the other so called u21's that are holding down regular starts for their clubs should be in the senior squad I stead of the constant stream of pseudo Scots we seem to get
  20. This will be a tough one, their new manager has got them playing well, unbeaten so far this season, a point would be a good result. That said we have won our last 3 in a row so if we continue with that form we could get a result, here's hoping.
  21. Well said, great post some people don't want to know the reality as it does not fit their agendas that the block E lads are all angels and never get into any trouble, at all. I've no doubt most of them are blameless but the minority causing the issues are getting them all tarred with the same brush.
  22. Nah it just means that every time the daily rancid has to mention him for whatever reason it will be "Celtic Fan Christoph Waltz" same as they do with Rod Stewart.
  23. No worries sometimes the harsh reality upsets people's agendas but I'm sure they will get over it.
  24. Corrected your post for you, irrespective of what people think it seems a minority have crossed the line a few times, so is it any surprise individuals are being banned. Stick to the singing, tifos, creating a good matchday atmosphere etc etc and there will be no issue's Be the Motherwell ultras and not some bunch of wannabe green brigade clones, with a political agenda and actively seeking confrontation at every turn.
