Guaranteed it will be all "legends" especially those connected to the uglies as there is zero chance clubs will be allowing current players unless its academy talent to play. The subsequent team line ups will then only appeal to the old gits like me. The product has had its day and i cant see it appealing to todays football audience.

I hope there is an attacking good old fashioned number 9 striker incoming as well, thats our main priority.
-
2-1 down from the 1st leg, they scored to make it 3-1 on agg then Jamie Murphy missed a pen to make it 3-2. If we had scored it we would have had nearly 20 mins i think to get two goals against 9 men. A big oportunity missed that night. The best thing that night was the sight of old Craig Brown trying to land a punch on the Odense managers chin after an srgument π

You missed out shoddy, cheap and nasty, not fit for purpose, etc etc

As seats the new ones are not the comfiest ive sat on but they are passable. The major problem is access, with the old seats you could flip it back and move into the seat space to let people past etc with no issues, now you stand up with nowhere to go and nothing to hold on to, so its a nightmare trying to get in and out of a row. The old yellow bucket seats with no back never had any access issues as people could just step over them, now they are comfier but with the nightmare access issues the other seats have. Fan saftey should be a main priority, ie getting in and out of your seats safely when carrying hot food, people with mobility issues however serious are really struggling to get to their seats I know the pod has limitations and there were tight timescales re the UEFA regulations etc but for me the club failed in its due dilligence, ie nobody actually fitted a few seats in the pod, sat in them, tried to get in and out etc and judged them fit for purpose or not. Now we will be stuck with them for who knows how long, the club dropped the ball on this issue and it needs resolved before we start getting accident or injury reports etc.
-
Are you the guy a few rows in front of me in the pod south section who was constantly standing up and ranting at AJ to "coach them" " try something different" etc, etc?

Spot on, Well said.

90 mins of dross from both teams, shocking referreeing as usual, Falkirk trying to break up and stop the play at every opportunity. Our squad is down to the bare bones we effectively had no midfield 2nd half, TJ is brutal, never looked interested and we had zero threat, Said hitting the bar the only bright spot, Jonny K probably had the best chance of the game and fecked it up. For all the posesstion Falkirk had they were grim , Paulsen never had a hard save to make, that said we are 2 points better off than the same point last season so onwards and upwards, bring on HJK.
-
The players are well paid professional athletes only 5 or 6 games into a season so playing two games of football in a week should not be an issue for them. The strongest available team should be fielded at all times, maybe after we have played 5 or 6 group stage games we can rest a few but not now.
-
Yes, got mine two days ago, its now loaded onto my google wallet ok. From my reading of the email i think you can use either the physical card or the dugital version for entry but not both for the same match for obvious reasons. Any extra tickets i buy for my sons or friends are all sent as digital tickets now so it seemed logical that the club would do the same for ST's

I got the point you were making ie not fitting a certain narrative, so should probably have made that clearer in my reply. People who were not in Helsinki will probably assume it was all due to the block E guys who were there, and blame them instead of calling out everyone who went on the pitch regardless of age, or where they sit at Fir park, etc. The behaviour and conduct guidelines, rules or whatever they are apply to all, not just the block E contingent.
-
Its irrelevant who went first or what section they came from, nobody should have been on the pitch, another UEFA fine is probably incoming now.
-
Correct, after longelo hit the bar we had them rattled, at 1-0 we were looking good for the win till we gave away a soft goal, after that HJK never got close. But as you say nothing to fear at home next week on a decent pitch, for me not the perfect result but the next best thing, we never got beat, coyw.
-
Yes we have not offered much but neither have HJK tbh. Paulsen has made 1 good save and thats it, our main issue is we are lightweight up front, TJ has been anonymous. In the Grand scheme of things taking a 0-0 back to Fir park would be a brilliant result, we need to believe in ourselves a bit more and see where it takes us, so far so good.

BbC confirmed that Said and williams did not travel, willisms is injured apparently and may miss the Falkirk game as well..
-
Its three or four games into the season there is no need to rest players, the squad is thin enough just now, strongest possible team should be starting every game.
-
If you are referring to the shambolic refereeing at pittodrie in the league cup game, are you seriously suggesting that Gordons foul inside the centre circle, with two covering Motherwell players and the keeper with the Aberdeen player still with 40 or 50 yards to run to goal was a Dogso, aye ok then.
-
To be fair Hearts have a valid point, but you could argue the same when priestman was fouled for our penalty, all 3 were probably Dogso's and therefore should have been red cards. The SFA will take no notice and just carry on as usual, "yes we know we made a James Hunt of it, but we can do what we like so nothing to see here". Game 1 of the season and the bad referreeing deisions are ramping up, thats football in Scotland.
-
Nothing to fear from them, Aston Villa pumped them in Europa league final last season π, so lets live the dream.
-
Thats got the potential for a great away day easy to get to, great beer, heres hoping.

Our possible playoff round opponents if we get past Helsinki Play- off round UEFA Conference League Atalanta BC (ITA) SC Freiburg (GER) Panathinaikos FC (GRE) - FC CSKA 1948(BUL) Paide Linnameeskond (EST) - SK Rapid (AUT) FC Sheriff Tiraspol (MDA) FCSt. Gallen 1879 The draw is later today, some decent teams in that group

We've had a big upheaval over the summer, new manager, great players moved on etc so a positive start to the season would be great, and give the team a confidence boost for the Helsinki game so id be very happy with a draw. No doubt if we get a poor result the usual subjects will be all over the forum tonight telling us how its bottom of the league, bottom 6, a relegation fight etc just before the Johannsen out thread gets started. Its a long season, especially if we progress in Europe, but as ive said before its where you are in May that counts, and in the scheme if things a defeat today means feck all , as we are still in contention for four competitions, so lets get behind AJ and the team.
-
If we are bringing in more players we really need one of them to be a striker as the current options we have are brutal, AP, and Hendry, specifically.
-
Aye it must be great fun being a Hearts fan just now.
