  1. It was a bit of a shock to see the players starting the game with it last night, but i agree it a cracking looking strip, with no tacky sponsor logos to spoil it.
  2. Its a certainty that if the incident is discussed on the Var review and i have my doubts,,there will be some mysterious technical issue to explain why its not available, hearing Dallas shouting "penalty, penalty, stonewaller, no need to check John" would not be a good look.
  3. As bad as beaton is, its not a one man issue, the whole cosy corrupt SFA clique are culpable. The incompetent referreeing, poundshop VAR technology, blatant lies to try to justify the dodgy calls and a complete lack of responsibility or accountabillity. Then you add in a pandering and compliant media concerning everything regarding the uglies at the expense of the other 40 pro clubs and you have the perfect shitstorm that is Scottish football all based on the the tell tale question of "what school did you go to" its a national embarrasment. Nothing will change unless the other clubs grow a set and start to call out whats going on and start to hold the SFA to account, im not holding my breath on that happening though.
  4. Just back home, still feckin ragin at the blatant corruption on show, and the var assisted controversial decision we all new was coming. In all seriousness the clubs should be in the SFA's faces about the Var shitshow and the ridiculous and corrupt decisions we get week after week. We should have had 4th place sorted weeks ago but 1 game to go avoid defeat and it will be job done, a point tonight would not have changed that scenario, so lets get the result we need on Saturday to end tge season on a high.
  5. For me i dont think we will lose tomorrow night, but if we do we can still confirm the European tour, as i cant see Hibs getting anything at Ibrox, after 3 defeats Rangers will be well up for this one. That point on Saturday night might turn out to be the most important one of the season.
  6. I was at Fir park today getting a ticket for my eldest son, the guy in front of me asked for 5 tickets,he handed over a season ticket not his own, gave the details of who the tickets were for etc the chap serving must have then checked the purchase history on that ST as he said oh the last game they were at was the last Celtic game at FP, before taking the payment and handing over the tickets. So i suspect the checking procedures may not be as robust as they should be.
  7. Nah, having neither of the ugly sisters as champions for the 1st time in the lives of a lot of fans of the other teams, depriving them of millions of pounds from the champions league, match ticket sales, advertising etc is the best thing that could happen to Scottish football. This season has given the other premiershop teams the belief that the unhealthy influence the uglies have on Scottish football can be broken. It was a four horse race up until the end of February, so long may it continue as it will do wonders for the game in Scotland. So as i said in January, if its not us winning the league i dont care who does as long as neither of the ugly sisters do, "Hearts, Hearts glorious Hearts" PS the goodwill towards the Jambos expires 1st game of next season.
  8. Why do you want a Falkirk win? As you say i hope we win, but i want Hearts to do do the same, then for the 1st time in 40 odd years neither of the ugly sisters are champions.
  9. Its 3-1 to Celtic now, so i presume they will be well up for the game on Wednesday as they need a win. But that said they are nothing special so hopefully we will get in their faces from the start.
  10. SOD for me as well, but you better not use "outstanding" to describe the block to save a certain Goal, if seems to be a bad word on here tonight. 😂
  11. No penalty so why was he not booked for diving, i bet he wont see a 4 game ban for simulation or whstever Slattery was done for, usual shit house refereeing agsin.
  12. Any game we dont lose, we are outstanding, especially against the potential champions tonight, we were always trying to get forward and were in their faces, and looked threatening when we did, we defended very well, Ward never had a difficult save to make even when Hearts were pressing hard we looked solid. So all in all i think an outstanding performance is a fair assessment of how the game went
  13. I've never found him bearable, funny, interesting, or worth listening to live or on the radio. My personal view but given the fact hes had a media career for a while now lots of people must rate him.
  14. 4 yesrs ago, Wednesday night 11th May 2022 we were playing Hearts at Fir Park, needing a win to secure European football, and we won 2-1 with goals from Joe Efford and Ricky Lammie. So heres hoping history repeats itself on Saturday night.
  15. KVV is probably doing the same these days.
  16. Just watched it. Gollum admits they were wrong or gives some bullshit excuse in 3 or 4 of the reviews but as usual no accountability or we really need to be better. VAR really is a shit show a perfect storm of poor technology and incompetent officials with a "we dont give a feck attitude". Now they are blaming the glare from a plastic pitch, for not being able to draw the offside lines ffs, you really could not make this shit up.
  17. Just for information Key Rules & Punishments (IFAB Laws of the Game)Definition: Deliberate handball is moving the hand/arm toward the ball or positioning them to make the body unnaturally larger (not justifiable by body movement). Restart: A direct free kick is awarded at the spot of the offense. A penalty kick is awarded if it occurs inside the defender's penalty area. Disciplinary Action (Cards) :Red Card: If a player denies a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity (DOGSO) by deliberately handling the ball, they are sent off. Yellow Card: If a player stops a promising attack (SPA) or handles the ball intentionally but without denying an obvious goal, they may be cautioned. ⁸No Card: Incidental handball that does not stop a promising attack or break a specific rule (like scoring directly with the hand) might result in only a free kick. Specific Scenarios Scoring with Hand/Arm: It is an automatic foul if a player scores directly from their hand/arm, or immediately after it touches their hand/arm, even if accidental. Defending Penalty Area: A defender who intentionally handles the ball to prevent a goal in the box receives a red card and a penalty is given.Goalkeeper: If a goalkeeper handles the ball outside their penalty area, they are subject to the same rules as other players (usually a yellow/red card and direct free kick) .Accidental Touch: If the ball touches a player's hand directly from their own head or body (e.g., a deflection off their knee), it is generally not considered a penalty offence.Note: The boundary for a handball offense is the bottom of the armpit.
  18. I cant see that happening, 6 points and 11 goals better off with 3 to play is a very distinct advantage to us. But that said id rather we were going to Easter rd, last game with 4th place secured, so heres hoping we can take something from Hearts and Celtic, both of whom are bang average at best.
  19. Hibs down to 10 men after 20 mins a wild challenge by McGrath, their 4th red card in 3 games ffs.
  20. Falkirk have our number this season, 11 points they have had from us ffs, but if you dont score you wont win. The team has lost its way since February and the season cant end quick enough. If we hold on to 4th and claim a Euro place it will be a great season, but equally one of regrets and what ifs, the two cup defeats, the last 5 before the split, the 5 draws in a row at the start etc. So consistency is what we need, oh and lets hope we are not going to Easter rd last game needing a win, onwards and upwards.
  21. The nominations for the manger of the year award are out, and there is no place for JBA which i find a bit surprising. McInnes, McGlynn & Naysmith vie for manager award - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c072ne3499yo
  22. Different rules when playing the ugly sisters Dave, usually play continues till they get the required winner / equaliser or favourable VAR award. No doubt the referee will be getting a please explain email on monday morning to explain what went wrong.
  23. Been watching the game, you are right, Hearts are average at best, but they are getting the results, i still think they will bottle it over the last 4 games.
