Correct the cousins of William from Gorgie aspire to be their Govan counterparts the sons of William its the same with the Celtic/ Hibs green hordes, the underlying bigotry, while not quite as bad as Glasgow is still there.

Just watched the highlights on sportscene, brilliant performance especially by our defence, Casey and Mugabi in particular. I thought McGinn was unlucky for the 2nd booking and how the linesman thought Slattery was offside is a feckin disgrace, VAR showed he was at least a yard or so onside. A great 3 points to go joint top the season is moving along nicely the kettle is still on the boil.

National league seems a bit high a level For Amaluzor from what we seen of him during his spell at Fir park
-
Just ignore him, stop feeding the Trolls they are just boring now.
-
Nah, Scott Brown is the bookies early favourite apparently, aye that will end well.
-
At championship level he will score a few this season, he seems to be doing a lot better than Tony Watt.
-
No stealing a win today, we deserved those 3 points after that 2nd half performance.

Just back in, what a great result that never looked on at Half time, Killie lived up to their brutal away form 2nd half and we responded well. It's worrying that our most dangerous player 1st half and the only one who looked like scoring was Spencer playing at left back. Then another defender Casey gets us level, our alleged strikers are fekin awful, especially Efford he needs to be moved on and I really hope we get someone in before the window closes. SK changed the game bringing on Paton as we then took control in midfield and began to look threatening for once, I thought we'd blown it by missing the pen but I'll take a 97th minute winner every day of the week. A great 3 points and Joint top of the league after 3 games not a bad start so far.

Just for info, who is our current acting CEO and are we still actively trying to recruit a new permanent one?

The various member associations probably can set their own criteria for certain things, but they can't alter the laws of the game.

The Kilmarnock and Livingston pitches must meet Fifa requirements or else they would not be allowed to play on them as per law 1 below. It seems the only requirement is that the surface is green. . Field surface The field of play must be a wholly natural or, if competition rules permit, a wholly artificial playing surface except where competition rules permit an integrated combination of artificial and natural materials (hybrid system). The colour of artificial surfaces must be green. Where artificial surfaces are used in competition matches between representative teams of national football associations affiliated to FIFA or international club competition matches, the surface must meet the requirements of the FIFA Quality Programme for Football Turf or the International Match Standard, unless special dispensation is given by The IFAB. so they may be crap surfaces to play on and seen as a financial and competitive advantage to the clubs but I don't think the authorities can do much about it given Current legislation.

That's no way to start rumours more teasing details required, any dodgy haircuts on show that sort of stuff 😁

What a feckin long winded whinge you really do go Into meltdown mode over things, okay so your not impressed by our recent signings, fair enough just say that then and move on to your next debating project. When you support Motherwell every season is an adventure will the players signed be sugar or shite, will we win anything, stay in the league, unearth a 29 goal a eason star etc etc, you pay your ticket money and take a chance. So just enjoy it we've been doing okay in the top league for 38 years now, loads of European tours, a few cup finals, a champions league spot so let's see how the season pans out and have this debate in January or next summer when we are entering year 39 as a top league side.
-
As I've only seen Wilkinson, Bair, Zdravkovski, Biereth etc play a few games so far I won't be placing any judgement on them so they may turn out to be higher quality or they may not as with every player only time will tell.
-
Are you basing that assumption on having seen said players perform over just 5 or 6 games so far some of them less than that, if not what's an acceptable period for a player to settle and show what he can or can't do? Is it weeks, months, a full season or is it Steelboy boy time ie minutes and hours?
-
And you do obviously, who would you have signed then enlighten us all with your wisdom or why not just have a day off from the shite patter and give us all peace.
-
I thought watching it at the game it was a red card all day long and seeing that has not changed that opinion. Going in with both feet, no control, reckless, high and right in front of that wee prick Colum, if VAR had been in use on Saturday would they have reviewed it, maybe it certainly deserved to be.
-
Is that you saying we should make an approach to Fletcher and see if he's interested in taking a wage cut to play at Fir park? 🤫
-
In Steelboys reality the settling in period is 30 seconds after you meet your new team mates for the 1st time, then 30 seconds after that they are labelled as shite.
-
Agreed I think Efford has more to offer I would start with him and Bair up front as long as they get decent service from midfield, if we play the long ball game it's not going to end well.
-
How are you defining a "successful throw in" as you put it, one that leads to a goal, reaches another Motherwell player etc please explain as I can definitely smell shite with that remark.
-
We've been there and done that and by a bigger margin
-
It's feck all to do with winning mentality wee club mentality or any other shite like that, yes smaller less well supported, poorer clubs etc have and will beat bigger richer sides but results like that are very rare over the years. On the day its down to simple footballing ability ie can you play to 100% of your skill and ability as a team and hope the bigger club are only at 75% of theirs. And sometimes you just need to admit that no matter how positive your mindset is etc you were beaten by a better team with better players etc simples.
-
Aye 9 goals only 4 short of Wilkinsons season total and 8 more than Bair's with another 144 to his name over the years .
-
For me he would be worth a punt, a proven experienced goal scorer to play alongside Bair, Wilkinson or Biereth a 6 month deal with the option to extend if he does well. He might be looking for a lot more money than we could offer though, so that might be why he's not found a club yet.
