  1. I agree the Killie pitch is a disgrace the vast majority of their points every season are gained at home, they ended up playing over 10 mins of added time. To be fair though they deserved the win, Celtic were shite.
  2. That may be true but for me he will be more of a threat and provide more decent chances for Biereth than Obika will
  3. Because he effectively gained us a point yesterday by making a great save to stop us going 2-0 down
  4. I take your point but from the position we are in we don't have the luxury of having a "bedding in period" nothing sticks to Obika, and on the odd occasion he get the ball down and under control he's never gets a pass away to anyone running on etc, his positional sense is shocking, we saw 70 mins of nothing from him yesterday.
  5. We need to start with Bair and Biereth up top, Bair has more pace and holds the ball up better, Obika is feckin hopeless and offers nothing. For me that's the front two most likely to create chances and take them.
  6. For me the club is being run by well meeting amateurs with no idea how to run a football club, these are the people who signed off on Nick Daws advice on what players to sign, 30 in total with only 7 still at the club, how is he still employed given the shite we've seen come and go. No CEO appointed, the directors are not at the club all day thats the CEO's job so who's running things day to day, the women's team is apparently financed solely from the club and not a stand alone entity, how much money that could be spent on 1st team players are spent on that, we also have no reserve team any more. The whole set up seems amateurish for me you can't run a football club on that basis. For me its time for a complete reboot of how the club is run before we end up relegated.
  7. Before the game I thought we'd win and we started well but with Obika playing we have no threat up top he is brutal 70 mins of shite from him, nothing sticks to him. I never thought I'd be saying this but when Bair came on we looked more of a threat, his cross in for Biereth was brilliant, StJ were as bad as us, they never threatened till we gave them a goal. That said we need to start winning and if thats with a new manager or SK so be it, but it's not desperate just yet we can get forward and score if we need to as the glut of late goals show, but we need to get into winning positions and see matches out, were still in the mix but only just so hopefully we kick on.
  8. SK has to get it right tomorrow 3 points and a committed team performance are vital. The club needs stability changing managers every 18 months is nonsense its put the club in a downward spiral since Robinson left. But as well as SK doing his part to get the players motivated and winning the current board need to face up to reality and reset the club to get us back on track as if the offield situation is not resolved then irrespective of how the players perform and results improve the future of the club does not look good. In our current state a relegation this year could send us down for a very long time so this is a vital time to get everything right and sort out the shambles the club seems to be in. That said the players and SK need a good support behind them tomorrow so I'll be there as usual cheering them on.
  9. Yep my thoughts as well, as to the root of our problems well meaning amateurs at best.
  10. As I've said before, the club is in the hands of amateurs who have no idea how to run a football club, they are culpable for signing off on the shite recruitment in recent seasons, no CEO etc etc. A complete root and branch overhaul is required re the operating model and future direction of the club, for me it's the only way we are going to remain as a premiership club.
  11. As a non well society member are we really a fan owned club ie does the well society control a majority shareholding, as if they don't then any opinions, recommendations, ideas etc might be listened to but equally might be ignored. I get the impression that the current board members might well be successful business people in their own fields but are amateurs at running a football club, so does the WS have any real influence regarding current or future club policy etc.
  12. Not so sure about Gordon, but I have no doubts that Steve Clarke will be trawling the leagues of world looking for a keeper whose Great Granny or Grandpa ate some shortbread once to make them Scottish, as I can't see Kelly making the squad if his current form keeps up.
  13. Totally agree re Kelly but last night was not a one off bad performance from him he's been poor for months and SK must see that but Oxborough has not been given a chance, to show what he can do, and for me that's a sign of a manager who's out of ideas.1
  14. 1I was all for giving SK a chance but this run we are on is brutal and he's showing no signs of getting us out of it, the players don't look interested to be honest, has he lost the dressing room I don't know but the team has that look about it. If SK does go then whoever comes in is stuck with the same dross, we could have Guardiola, in charge and he would never turn the likes of Bair, Obika, Shaw, etc into decent players. For me the whole club needs a reset from top to bottom to build a decent stable team and club Iinstead of the rebuild every season we seem to have With the quality deteriorating every time.
  15. Why? Because he is an obnoxious wee ginger prick that would cause an argument in an empty house, we don't need that or any of the ugly sisters baggage that comes with him.
  16. That's like saying I won't turn the heating on in the house, I'll just wrap a blanket round me, it's not the money, the blanket does the job. Given the rise in fuel costs etc It's not being used to save money no other reason, it's been at least -5 or -6 degrees below in recent nights, luckily the covers done the job but not using the underground heating is another possible indicator of just how skint the club is, it's not a good sign.
  17. That was my view from the outset and its not changed, yes the fans should be represented on the board etc, but fan ownership on an average crowd of 3.5 to 5k is not a workable / sustainable option the club still needs outside investment from a company, individual or both, so unless the current operating model changes I see the club being financially constrained and living from hand to mouth for a few years to come.
  18. I was in favour of VAR when it was brought in, but not now its ruining the game, even the best version on show in European and English premiership games is becoming a nonsense, what chance do we have in Scotland with the pound shop version and amateurs running it. It was a nice experiment but for me it needs dumped and control given back to the onfield officials.
  19. There were 700 Dundee fans there yesterday so we never lost 500 supporters , 3.5k well fans at a home game is about average for us.
  20. We all need to keep the faith all this talk of sacking managers is nonsense we are unbeaten in our last 2 games, and another 2 or 3 wins and we will be challenging for a Euro spot, 15 games played still 23 to go so no need for any pant wetting just yet.
  21. Mugabi for me, solid all game and took his goal well
  22. Just back in, we were feckin brutal today, midfield too deep and all over the place, a great start and goal from Biereth then we sat back deep and made them look like Man City ffs the way we allowed them to pass the ball about. Kelly needs dropped, stood on his line doing feck all and watched a 5' midget beat him with a header, Obika is also hopeless nothing sticks to him no threat at all. Us scoring 3 goals shows how bad Dundee were, they were there for the taking and we fecked it up, we never pressed high enough and made it easy for them. That said we gained a point that never looked likely after we went down to 10 so it's not all bad but we really need a win badly as 4 points from 33 is relegation form.
  23. Bowman got a hard time at Fir park I thought he was a great player, just the type we need in the team now.
  24. Their army of analysts no doubt mulled it over for 10 seconds and then the computer said nah.
  25. Given the alleged state of the clubs finances its good to see we are exploring every available revenue stream.
