There were 700 Dundee fans there yesterday so we never lost 500 supporters , 3.5k well fans at a home game is about average for us.
-
We all need to keep the faith all this talk of sacking managers is nonsense we are unbeaten in our last 2 games, and another 2 or 3 wins and we will be challenging for a Euro spot, 15 games played still 23 to go so no need for any pant wetting just yet.
-
Mugabi for me, solid all game and took his goal well
-
Just back in, we were feckin brutal today, midfield too deep and all over the place, a great start and goal from Biereth then we sat back deep and made them look like Man City ffs the way we allowed them to pass the ball about. Kelly needs dropped, stood on his line doing feck all and watched a 5' midget beat him with a header, Obika is also hopeless nothing sticks to him no threat at all. Us scoring 3 goals shows how bad Dundee were, they were there for the taking and we fecked it up, we never pressed high enough and made it easy for them. That said we gained a point that never looked likely after we went down to 10 so it's not all bad but we really need a win badly as 4 points from 33 is relegation form.

Bowman got a hard time at Fir park I thought he was a great player, just the type we need in the team now.
-
Their army of analysts no doubt mulled it over for 10 seconds and then the computer said nah.
-
Given the alleged state of the clubs finances its good to see we are exploring every available revenue stream.
-
This, some reality to the debate at last a great post.
-
And ideally all done within a budget that does not put us on the road to administration again. As for the comparison with an EPL club they all operate in a different universe to us so it a nonsense exercise.
-
Have a day off ffs it's boring now
-
Nah no need for bragging rights its a local Derby that's never existed for nearly 40 years, theve never been good enough to be in the same league as us, same applies to Albion rovers and I suspect that now Accies are lingering in league 1 it will be a good few years before we play them, barring a cup draw etc. So we are still the pride of Lanarkshire with no local competition.
-
Not been able to say this in recent weeks 😀
-
We never got robbed the last time , our own shit defending ie letting crosses come in and not picking up runners in the 97th min cost us. A bit of payback today though
-
"Extreme response" ok then 🤦♂️but its Another dodged answer from you but if that's your opinion we'll leave it at that.
-
He never mentioned " balanced middle ground " you did so how do you see that applied to Motherwell, what would you have us do differently? Signing better quality players we can't afford is not an answer, you don't get an Erling Haaland on the Theo Bair money we pay.
-
So what's your idea of " balanced middle ground" then?
-
Forward thinking and ambitious costs serious cash, John Boyle tried that approach to make us the " third force in Scotland " as he put it and we all know how that ended. Football clubs are not normal businesses the successful one all have one or more very wealthy Individuals or companies behind them. At our level its a different world our average crowd is probably well under 5k, combine that with limited sponsorship, crap TV deals, etc and we don't have a lot of cash to spare so what we offer gets us the level of players we Currently have playing for us, but on those criteria we have done well over the years, top flight Football, cup win, euro qualification etc so we are where we are. If people want regular trophies, European group stage football, etc then unless we can persuade some multi millionaire to invest in the club its not going to happen. Bottom line we are a small provincial club suffering fan wise from our proximity to the ugly sisters which limits our spending power, but for me I wouldn't change a thing we've done allright.
-
Depends on what Groningen want for him and how quickly they want to offload him, assuming that's the case. But if he is available this is maybe the time for us to throw some money at the deal, as potentiality getting him back in January could secure our season and get us back up to top 6 and European contention. Sometimes you need to speculate to accumulate, getting him back would be one of those deals.
-
He might be on his way south soon if the rumours are to be believed, so glad we have him under contract. Scottish Gossip: Motherwell, Miller, Scotland, Celtic, Tilio, Rangers, Cifuentes, McCausland - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67454581

I see Alexander's record with Claret and Amber is not getting any better, 2 games in charge at Bradford and 2 defeats.
-
Behave yourself, he was decent in his day but his day has long gone, he's done as a top level keeper. No doubt a lucrative career in punditry awaits him.
-
I'm not counting Hammell that was a nightmare I've convinced myself never happened. Any coach / manager we attract is limited as the decent coaches are all operating at a higher level than us, SK falls into the limited category as well its an easy job when the team is winning nobody asks questions so he will be judged how he handles the current situation and gets us winning and moving up the league or more losses and the threat of relegation. The January transfer window is massive assuming of course he is still in charge by then.
-
Nah that's a bit harsh, Alexander might have had limited ability as a coach but I think he was a decent guy, Lennon is a champions league standard arsehole, GA is league 2😁
-
Very true, because Lennon is an obnoxious wee ginger prick who would start an argument in an empty house, a shite coach and generally just a complete arsehole. So why would we want to appoint someone like that
