As I've only seen Wilkinson, Bair, Zdravkovski, Biereth etc play a few games so far I won't be placing any judgement on them so they may turn out to be higher quality or they may not as with every player only time will tell.

Are you basing that assumption on having seen said players perform over just 5 or 6 games so far some of them less than that, if not what's an acceptable period for a player to settle and show what he can or can't do? Is it weeks, months, a full season or is it Steelboy boy time ie minutes and hours?

In Steelboys reality the settling in period is 30 seconds after you meet your new team mates for the 1st time, then 30 seconds after that they are labelled as shite.

Agreed I think Efford has more to offer I would start with him and Bair up front as long as they get decent service from midfield, if we play the long ball game it's not going to end well.

It's feck all to do with winning mentality wee club mentality or any other shite like that, yes smaller less well supported, poorer clubs etc have and will beat bigger richer sides but results like that are very rare over the years. On the day its down to simple footballing ability ie can you play to 100% of your skill and ability as a team and hope the bigger club are only at 75% of theirs. And sometimes you just need to admit that no matter how positive your mindset is etc you were beaten by a better team with better players etc simples.

For me he would be worth a punt, a proven experienced goal scorer to play alongside Bair, Wilkinson or Biereth a 6 month deal with the option to extend if he does well. He might be looking for a lot more money than we could offer though, so that might be why he's not found a club yet.

The hand held scanners they use at Fir park Dave are much better as the operator can make sure they can see all the barcode so it scans OK. So St Mirren are obviously not wanting to pay for turnstile operators and their stewards don't want to know so that's how delays occur.

The turnstile readers are designed for actual tickets or paper prints where the bar code can get right under the reader. Maybe the phones were too big, not fully under the scanner, dirty screens etc or the phones owners not holding it close enough, lots of things could affect it working properly.

Bought From St Mirren or Motherwell as I said it's only available for home games so if you bought direct from St Mirren you can get digital tickets, but I got them From Fir park so old fashioned to be collected in person paper only option.

The digital or print at home options are only available for home match tickets, but in this day and age there is no reason why it can't be extended to away tickets as well. You can sit at home and buy and print tickets or store them digitally for all sorts of things, football match tickets should be no different.
