  1. He's never been a regular starter since he signed for them, he played more last season in the championship but his appearances have been few and far between this year.
  2. Just watched the highlights on sportscene, it should never have been a corner that led to Ebiye's goal, the keeper never touched it. Still we've been on the receiving end of stuff like that before so it's nice to get some luck for a change, it's been a good couple of weeks.
  3. That's all you had to say re Spittal and his move to Hearts, who can blame him.
  4. SK briefing his attacking options before the St J game https://x.com/ianmulvey/status/1829459709776060806?t=RlewdIq7sw7SZ9zWBlBY4A&s=19
  5. Take away all of the hype and tradition around supporting football clubs and That's exactly what they are, paying customers of a business just like any other leisure activity, cinema, restaurants, health clubs etc etc. So as I mentioned before certain polices, codes of conduct etc need to be followed as a condition of buy that particular service. It's up to the club to ensure these conditions are not detrimental and actually make Fir park a better place to pay to go to.
  6. I get the impression we won't be getting a midfielder this window, for me it will be a makeshift midfield until January and hopefully the Injury list has cleared. It's a very dodgy strategy, we don't want a repeat of last seasons.
  7. They might be wild and as you say the issue won't be a problem for teams with huge crowds every game. But the guidelines / policies in effect are not based on attendance figures so they apply equally to every club. Given the guidelines seem to give the clubs a fair bit of leeway I have no doubt Motherwell could reduce the age limit to 12 if they wanted to, so they must have their reasons for choosing 14.
  8. This is not a Motherwell thing a quick search on Google and most of the English premiership seems to be under 16's need to be accompanied so I would assume the FA, EPL, EFL SFA , SPFL etc are all issuing guidelines for the clubs to follow. Caldwell mentions in his update he thought 16 was too high so Motherwell made it 14, so there is obviously some leeway for the clubs to set their own policies. The clubs obviously have legal and regulatory constraints on them so limits need to be set.
  9. Why not offer Ryan Jack a short term or pay per play deal given his fitness concerns, probably won't cost that much. If he stays injury free he's a big upgrade on what we have now, Miller apart., surely worth a punt.
  10. I see Max Johnston has been called up by Scotland for the nations league games, hope he gets some game time.
  11. These are the games we need to be winning to consolidate on a great 3 points from Hearts, if we play as well as we did on Sunday we'll win.
  12. a kid who was proven to be out of the country at the time of an alleged incident? OK, so the wrong individual was identified, mistakes happen no issue there. It’s generational and oft fuelled by societal problems - so all of those allegedly causing issues outside the ground, setting off pyrotechnics and generally acting like arseholes are only doing because their dads done it or they don't have a good life, ok then bullshit Unfortunately, some wishing not to be involved get caught up in any event - aye I was just dressed up in my black shorts and block E, T shirt, with my ski mask / balaclava minding my own business and out for a stroll with my mates, " standard we've done nothing wrong and are the victims" defence then. You are right though football is light years away from the 70's and 80's and long may it continue. But certain rules need to be followed to ensure it remains a safe place to go to and from. So support the club, bang your drum, create the tifos and the atmosphere in the ground, without the need for the pyrotechnics, and alleged shenanigans outside the ground and acting like arseholes.
  13. What's false about behave and follow the rules and there won't be an issue, the vast majority of fans manage it, or is Block E a special case, enlighten us with your wisdom oh wise one.
  14. You are missing the point a pub landlord etc does not need proof that you are a convicted criminal to ban you from their pub, all that's required is that you broke the house rules etc in some way and we're identified, same thing is happening at Fir park.
  15. Wrong, there have been several employees of Celtic onfield and off that would be familiar with said handshakes including one of the famous Lisbon Lions.
  16. Motherwell football club are just the same as any other business, commercial premises, pubs and clubs etc ie they have the legal authority under their terms and conditions, operating policies, code of conduct etc to ban any individual or group of individuals from their premises if they feel their policies have been broken. So no need to refer to courts etc, so the individuals might not have been convicted but in the eyes of the club their behaviour was unacceptable so action was taken. There is a simple solution to this, support the club without all of the ultra bullshit and there won't be an issue.
  17. Only 1 contender today, SOD all day long, and a special mention for Wilson and Tony Watt.
  18. Brilliant team effort today, Craig Gordon had 3 ridiculous saves to keep it respectable so it could quite easily have been 5-0 , Hearts were brutal. No bad performances from anyone today, SOD was outstanding, we pressed hard apart from a 10 min spell after Hearts scored, Sunday football is great so far.
  19. Therin lies the problem " the we've done nothing wrong, we're the victims " argument. That may be the case but why can't the block E contingent not just support the club, display the banners etc without the pyrotechnics, alleged incidents outwith the ground, taking legal advice ffs and always trying to have some sort of cause to beat the drum about, no pun intended..
  20. Best to draw a veil over that attempt at humour 😬
  21. He looked happy on the green green grass of a home game.
  22. A fair point but all it means is that at best 75% did not vote for them or didn't vote at all, slightly better than the 96% I mentioned, but it does not alter my point ie it's not a good basis going forward.
  23. With a 24.7% turnout It would be interesting to see the percentage split of the votes for those candidates elected. I can't remember if it was 4 or 6 posts up for grabs but that means that those elected may have won with as little as 4% of the vote each so potentially 96% of eligible voters either did not vote for them or didn't vote for anyone. That's not a very stable basis / mandate going forward and shows that the vast majority of members apparently have no Interest in the WS or who is running it, which is an unhealthy situation.
  24. The turnout for the WS election was less than 25% of those eligible to vote, it's the remaining 75% of the local WS members that the WS should be encouraging to get them to re-engage with the club to make fan ownership operate as it should.
