Tbh a 4-2 defeat flattered Celtic big time, should have been at least 6.
-
We don't need him or any of the bigoted baggage that he brings with him.
-
It's 2-2 now
-
Linfield are in with a shout of the league title so I can't see Healy going anywhere before the summer.
-
A few of their fans have already tried that Dave.

The WS are not helping with the statement they put out, A terribly sad situation,” he said. “I hope that we as fans can reflect on this and do things differently. A manager with an impressive win record who has developed players and brought in significant transfer revenue. Thank you for everything, Stuart.” Bkaming the fans but no mention of how brutal we have been in recent weeks, no direction or shape to the team, random selections and a general impression that the dressing room was lost etc. Everyone has jumped on the good manager becoming the victim and forced to leave fairy tale, not a good episode for the media / PR team.
-
We won't know till we see his first team selection on Sunday and how we set up, and yes we are managerless because the team have been brutal for weeks and SK had no idea how to turn it round and walked. Don't believe the personal abuse fairy tales were the reason.
-
To be fair there is some merit in that scenario, on the assumption that he will recognise the mistakes SK made and change our style to get the best from the players we have available. Steady the ship and see us clear of relegation hopefully still top 6, then bring in a new face in the summer for the required rebuild.
-
As I said earlier current or ex managers with any random connection to the ugly sisters are immediately the front runners or hot favourites, less than 24 hrs after the job became available ffs. Can you imagine the shit storm on here if Lennon was even considered 😱
-
The personal abuse stuff is bullshit, it's SK trying to keep his reputation intact to deflect from the fact that he had lost the dressing room and ran out of ideas. And it's worked, he's now the victim a good manager forced out of a job by the foul mouthed fans. As a rule anything written about football clubs outwith the ugly sisters by the west of Scotland media is best ignored as its mainly pandering bullshit with a blue or green tinge depending on what "big team" the journo supports.
-
Now that SK is history and a percentage of the forum members will be struggling for things to post until we have someone else in place, who would we like to be appointed? The good, the bad and the never under any circumstances contenders, thoughts please.
-
We will if our form immediately picks up, Dan Casey is back smiling, and we actually look like a football team again. For me he walked before he was pushed.
-
Why, St Mirren have been as brutal as us in recent weeks.
-
For me the personal abuse thing is all smoke and mirrors, he probably got slagged just as much last year on the winless run. For me he was losing the dressing room, and reality dawned on him that he was not going to turn our form around so he jumped before he was pushed, throw some personal abuse allegations out there and his reputation is intact. The Celtic game will be very interesting to see how the team responds, the performance there will tell us all we need to know.
-
What are your other goals then, where do you see Motherwell aiming for, is nearly 40 years in the top division, numerous European qualifications, several cup finals and 1 trophy to our name not enough for a club of our size?
-
We all know unless SK walks away he's in charge for the rest of the season. From being in a decent position before Christmas it all went wrong since then, yes there are mitigating factors re injuries etc, but SK needs to stop the rot very soon as we are only 6 off the playoff spot now. It's not going to happen next week against Celtic but we need to find a settled shape and style soon, making 4 or 5 subs every game hoping something will happen is bullshit. I'm not 100% certain SK will manage it and there are signs he may be losing the dressing room but where we are just now 2 or 3 wins will make all the difference so here's hoping he can sort it. As ever its where you end up in May that matters so with 14 games left to play, 42 points on offer, this could still end up a decent season.
-
Nah that was done on Wednesday, probably the union bears training for another rampage in Manchester last night, Scotlands shame.
-
The SFA are shitebags, they won't want to upset FIFA and UEFA by binning VAR in case they lose their cushy committe postings and freebie trips. I would love it to be binned, it's ruining the game, but I can't see it happening, unless the ugly sisters want it dumped, then the SFA would join in.

Good article about max Johnson Johnston's rapid rise from Cove to Champions League - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c3d5k83ml25o

Maybe not explosive, but it was an honest assessment of how much of a shambles we were on Saturday.
-
A Football managers job is results driven, you could be the nicest man on the planet, all the players, fans, board etc think you are wonderful but if you don't get the results you will be unemployed. Yes there are mitigating factors, re injuries etc that hamper his team selection but he has shown no sign of learning from his mistakes, changing the way we play to suit the players we have available, and basically competing in games. Yesterday was a shambles from the kick off, no shape to the team, no desire to compete and get forward, no leadership against a team who to be honest are brutal, hardly scoring goals, and who had not won in 9 previous games. SK has shown he is not able to respond in a game, change the tactics, play players in their best positions, etc, we need a manager who can.
-
I thought that as well, and cut him some slack re injuries etc but not any more. We have no shape, no discernable style of play, just players booting the ball long and hoping something will happen, but it never does. For me SK has run his race, and it's time for him to go, I know it won't happen the board and the WS need to grow a set 1st but we will be bottom 6 soon, can't see us getting relegated but that's about all, even avoiding the playoff spot is not guaranteed.
-
Did you ever go on any of the European adventures Athens for the champions league, Katowice, Dortmund, Nancy were 4 of the great ones that will be long remembered, so much better an experience than a predictable loss to either of the ugly sisters in a final.
-
I've criticised you frequently for wanting him out, and up till now I was cutting him some slack, with all the injuries we have etc but after today no more we were brutal, big support up and we shat the nest big time. So for me his time is up, he needs to go.

We might not have consistency on the park, but we do in our signing policy, McGhee should fit in nicely.
