Brilliant team effort today, Craig Gordon had 3 ridiculous saves to keep it respectable so it could quite easily have been 5-0 , Hearts were brutal. No bad performances from anyone today, SOD was outstanding, we pressed hard apart from a 10 min spell after Hearts scored, Sunday football is great so far.

Therin lies the problem " the we've done nothing wrong, we're the victims " argument. That may be the case but why can't the block E contingent not just support the club, display the banners etc without the pyrotechnics, alleged incidents outwith the ground, taking legal advice ffs and always trying to have some sort of cause to beat the drum about, no pun intended..

Best to draw a veil over that attempt at humour 😬

He looked happy on the green green grass of a home game.

A fair point but all it means is that at best 75% did not vote for them or didn't vote at all, slightly better than the 96% I mentioned, but it does not alter my point ie it's not a good basis going forward.
-
With a 24.7% turnout It would be interesting to see the percentage split of the votes for those candidates elected. I can't remember if it was 4 or 6 posts up for grabs but that means that those elected may have won with as little as 4% of the vote each so potentially 96% of eligible voters either did not vote for them or didn't vote for anyone. That's not a very stable basis / mandate going forward and shows that the vast majority of members apparently have no Interest in the WS or who is running it, which is an unhealthy situation.
-
The turnout for the WS election was less than 25% of those eligible to vote, it's the remaining 75% of the local WS members that the WS should be encouraging to get them to re-engage with the club to make fan ownership operate as it should.
-
Agreed, we have enough homegrown issues with the club, playing squad, stadium facilities, improving the fan experience etc, etc to sort out first. Can anyone really see Motherwell FC becoming a global brand, that was the bulshit we got from Barmack when he tried to get control of the club for feck all.
-
A turnout of less than 25% is poor, are the other 75% not interested, don't care etc. If the WS is to step up after the Barmack episode then it's the disillusioned 75% that they need to appeal to.

Every football article in that rag has to have some connection however tenuous it is to the ugly sisters, it's best ignored completely.

Playing 1 up is hopeless, we were toothless yesterday, Robinson tries hard but his positional awareness needs a lot of work. We need to be playing a straightforward 4-4-2, or my preference a 3-5-2 as we saw how effective we were when Maswanhise came on yesterday and got down the wings, hopefully SK gets a settled formation.
-
He is on loan with Dundee untd covering the bulk of his wages so he is free to play in the cup as he did today and also if we progress, but not against his parent club unfortunately.
-
Agree with you on that one, he looks a great prospect
-
SOD for me he was solid all game always trying to get forward, and 2 of his crosses into the box were things of beauty that each deserved to be headed home.
-
Correct it was a beauty, screaming out to be headed home.
-
Your trying too hard now, that's shite patter it really is, have a look at yourself ffs.
-
The "SK is responsible for every injury we have" brigade will be in meltdown if we sign Jack.
-
Was it too much to ask to have the Etithad level football and facilities to go with my good view 😀
-
Not in our price range plus he's well past his sell by date, a no thanks from me.
-
Best views in the stadium for me, needs some money spent on it though as has been previously discussed.
-
Got mine as well, totally agree it's a great email, all the pre match info you will need. I hope this is a sign of things to come, as you say we'll done MFC.

The final league position you end up in over 38 games is no fluke it's what you have earned points wise the table never lies, so its either top and champions, bottom and relegated or somewhere in between. We earned enough points that season to be in with a shout of the top 6 in our own hands going into that final game at Livingston, so no need for favours from other teams. And by not getting beat, earning a point we got a shot at Europe. So it was no fluke we earned that league finish.
-
So when should SK have played him then, how many training sessions / bounce game minutes etc would he have needed before starting? your post implies SK knew he was not fit to play but thought he'd chance it anyway, which is just bullshit. If he was picked for the matchday squad then he was fit to play, him getting injured was down to bad luck not SK.
-
I get the impression that Watt will be our main striker this season Dave, alongside AVS when/ if he's fit. But given the ability we know he has I reckon that Watt up top alongside Robinson or Ebiye might be a decent shout as well, time will tell.

Correct he's been a football mercenary all of his career and made a lot of cash from scoring 1 goal against Barcelona. And to be fair you can't argue with that approach we would all do the same so fair play to him. It's the manner of his departure and his attitude when he went to United that annoys me and no doubt a few others, but as I have said earlier he is more of a natural goal scorer than what we have at the moment so if he starts scoring and we are winning games then I won't be bothered by what's gone before, so I hope SK gets the best from him.
