Probably somebody from EK enquiring about joining the Well Society
-
The club needs stability so for me a longer term appointment is needed, somebody coming in who is prepared to stay, work with reduced budgets etc and finish the job, in case this season goes Pete Tong and we are relegated.
-
Spot on, my thoughts as well its the same people that made the wrong choice appointing Hammell, I am also not confident they will get it right this time.. I know there is still time to save the season but for me it's going to take a lot longer to get the club back on a stable footing so this decision is crucial.

The sun running the story as well now https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/10217656/brazil-inter-milan-motherwell-job/

Lambert is in the sun today saying he is not interested
-
If it is a normal scheduled meeting I would assume that given the present circumstances there would only be 1 item up for discussion, who is in the frame for the managers job. The board can't dither or delay on this as whoever comes in needs as much time as they can get from the games remaining to keep us in the premiership.
-
That's 1 name off the list for new manager, seems Lambert is not interested https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/10211939/lambert-motherwell-manager-job/

Is this Kettlewell putting himself forward for the managers job, seems like it to me Motherwell: Players 'must take accountability' for Hammell's sacking, says Kettlewell - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64618447
-
Spot on, they are 2 managers with recent experience of the league we're in I'd rather have them in than the likes of Lambert who's been out of management for years and knows feck all about the current Scottish game.
-
"Things are changing" at the club, if Kettlewell says "I'll try something new" then on "reflection" we might keep in "Touch" with the pack, otherwise it will be "nothing but heartaches" I thank you

This is a crucial appointment for the club bringing in a manager who has the experience and man management skills to keep us up, but is also willing to stay longer term and restructure the team on reduced budgets etc in the championship should this seasons relegation battle go Pete Tong. Irrespective of whether we stay up or not the club needs a complete overhaul and restructure to get us on a stable footing. I would like to see the new manager get a chance to build a team, develop the academy players etc instead of the constant churn of dross players we have been going through in recent seasons, quality over quantity is the key. As for the managerial candidates, Goodwin and Ross are good shouts they know the league and Scottish football well, not sure about Lambert. As for Neil Lennon, it would be a bold appointment given the baggage that comes with him but for me he is a decent coach and would certainly get the team playing and weed out the dross.

The main factor is the board who are feckin hopeless, Hammell should have been punted 2 months ago, its been error after error with them, sanctioning poor recruitment, long term contracts for shite players, Alexander's contract extension, appointing Hammell, more poor recruitment, our long term CEO suddenly deciding to resign and move to a rival club. It's a long term litany of feck ups from the people allegedly running the club, the phrase used in earlier posts sums them up perfectly " Enthusiastic amateurs " so we need change there as well, a premiership ( for now) professional football club should have professional people running it,

That's the way of things in Scottish football the SFA and SPFL are only interested in the ugly sisters and always have been, every decision taken, league structure, TV deals etc are geared up to benefit those two first.
-
I have no doubt the banners were well intended, but the days of clubs retaining players for years to develop a "passion for the badge" as they put it are long gone. As has been stated in another thread our squad is full of journey men players here for a year or two then moving on "pride and professionalism" would be a better slogan. But that said fair play to the block E lads, if nothing else it shows how the supporters are thinking just now.

Twitter is the social media platform of choice for absolute roasters and arseholes, it's best avoided and ignored.

Spot on re KVV, selfish and lazy for me, yes he has scored a few goals and yes we would be a lot worse off without him, but he's been anonymous in games for months now, no tracking back, he won't put in that extra bit of effort to chase a ball, and generally gives the impression of someone that wants to be elsewhere. Irrespective of what system if any SH is trying and failing to implement, the position we are in we need players to fight for every ball, give 110% etc to give us a chance and for me KVV is not interested.
-
Totally agree with you Dave but I'll be surprised if it happens the people running the club are part of the problem. They never acted quick enough to get rid of Alexander, and compounded that by giving him a ridiculous contract extension which ultimately cost the club financially. Then they took the no work required, cheap and easy option to appoint SH another big mistake, sanctioned very poor recruitment to bring in the likes of Morris, Aarons, Moult, Ohjala, Solholm so since December 22 the club has been in freefall. The situation we are in now is salvageable, 15 games and 45 points to play for but only if we get an experienced manager in ASAP to get the squad playing. But for me the Current board seem equally as clueless as Hammell and if they don't man up and act now we are heading for championship football next season.

There was no need for the full stop and space after the T

I'm sure I read somewhere that we made enquires about the availability of Yosuke Ideguche at Celtic for a loan deal as he's not getting much game time. No idea if it's true but given Postecoglu's alleged involvement alerting SH to Danzaki it could be possible.
-
According to STV news, we are trying to bring in another 2 players tonight, no clues as to who they are.
-
Tony Watt allegedly having a medical at St Mirren, https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/64416376
-
Hmmmm I can see him coming back, tbf if he does and scores a few goals etc and we avoid the bottom 2 places then nobody will care what went on previously. At this stage of the season we need to take a punt as the squad is severely lacking in goal scoring threat, so why not bring Watt back in.
-
He's made a lot of cash over the years Dave conning teams into thinking he's a good player to get lucrative contracts and signing on fees, then moving on when they find out he's brutal, all based on one goal against Barcelona 10 years ago, good work if you can get it.
-
All joking aside, the squad is paper thin just now, no cover available, that's why Johansen has been playing. So yes we may get a few quid for him but letting him go with no replacement lined up is not good business. That said if the financial issues are as bad as has been suggested the board will take the cash.
-
I agree with you but for me that's down to the club being as badly managed off the field as it is on it. SH should never have been appointed in the 1st place no previous managerial experience but he was the cheap easy option. Sticking with Hammell will get us relegated as it is obvious he has no idea how to turn things round, add this to Burrows leaving, suggestions of financial issues and the club has big problems. For me it's vital that we get an experienced manager in ASAP to turn things round and keep us up this year as going down, and all the issues that brings could be a disaster for the club longer term. But given the apparent unstabillity in the boardroom, possible financial problems etc I have no confidence that the board will make the changes needed in time.
