  1. Correct he's been a football mercenary all of his career and made a lot of cash from scoring 1 goal against Barcelona. And to be fair you can't argue with that approach we would all do the same so fair play to him. It's the manner of his departure and his attitude when he went to United that annoys me and no doubt a few others, but as I have said earlier he is more of a natural goal scorer than what we have at the moment so if he starts scoring and we are winning games then I won't be bothered by what's gone before, so I hope SK gets the best from him.
  2. I agree on his ability and as you say if he scores goals and we win games then I probably won't care, but the fact he's an arsehole of a man who did not conduct himself well when he left us still rankles me and I suspect a few others as well.
  3. Is this for real? where did this nightmare rumour come from surely not the return of Twatt 😱
  4. Is that to the WS meeting or leaving the job with his P45? Statements like that will get a few on here hopes up 😂
  5. I take your point but for me i think the reality is that the players we are signing are first and foremost the ones we can afford, and are willing to come to the Shire to play football. Yes certain players have a longer history of injuries than others but if one of those players is available and affordable and wants to join the club, and SK and the staff think they will improve the team, are we really going to say no thanks we are concerned with your injury record. Using that approach we will sign nobody, Louis Moult would fit that category but he seems to be doing OK at Tannadice, so yes the Injuries are unfortunate but no reason not to sign a player.
  6. Based on what? Is that picking them up before or after the injuries happen, the players dont get an examination every day, so did it ever occur to you they might be perfectly OK when signed, checked or whenever they get examined and after subsequent training or a match another injury is picked up. Or are you implying the medical team, coaching staff etc are just being negligent in their duties by playing players they know to be injured 🤔
  7. A happy clapping cabbage,🤦‍♂️ that's moronic patter it really is, but I guess you are not alone as it had 3 likes that's the bit that worries me.
  8. Pish do you seriously believe that the coaching staff, Sk etc would knowingly pick a player to start a game who they knew to be not fit to play, or would a player start a game if he knew he was not up to it, I think not, so stop talking shite.
  9. Are people seriously suggesting that whatever happens at training sessions is somehow contributing to players getting injured? Yes we have more than our fair share of injuries right now but these can happen at any time, a player can get out of bed the wrong way and injure himself ffs The amount of players we have out just now is just bad luck nothing more sinister so let's just all move on, nothing to see here.
  10. Why was it idiotic? He's signed, selected to start so he must be fit to play, so what's the issue you have with that?
  11. I hope not but nobody will be surprised at that scoreline, given our available squad.
  12. 1st game back up in top league for Groningen tonight and KVV is not in the 1st team squad, I think his days are numbered.

    POD Stand

Well said, I've emailed the club every close season for the last few years to get the bird crap cleaned and it never is, the seats never get cleaned either unless the wind blows the rain in. And while I'm on a rant, the gents toilets on the POD south side still have adverts featuring Joe Efford, someone needs to step up and get the minor details sorted, cleaning seats and removing out of date adverts is not rocket science.
  14. Agree with this but I'm fully expecting to get nothing from this game given the injuries we have. We have a tough run of fixtures coming up so the prospect of another winless run looms large, I hope not so who knows.

    POD Stand

Fixing the front of the stand after the new pitch was laid, and having to install barriers and emergency exit gates I think.
  16. Agree its Outrageous , section A 1 and A2 I think they said so a shit view in a shit stadium. How can prices like that encourage people to attend games. Motherwell are just as bad, it was £26 for seats in the POD for Ross County on Saturday.
  17. Always calm, Do you really believe that Nicholson was serious when he allegedly said he needs 2 new knees and ankles, what shocked you most not recognising the sarcasm or was it his attempt at humour. The point is when we scouted him, and then signed him he was fit, so blaming SK for making a mistake after he gets a subsequent injury is nonsense.
  18. So Nicholson is a chancer now , a self proclaimed gone wrong, who no doubt conned the doctors, physios, coaching staff etc to gain a contract. And you were shocked at the time, aye OK then ffs what a load of shite 🤦‍♂️
  19. How can you blame SK for Nicholson getting injured ffs, you don't sign a player by using "he's been injured before so it might happen again" as a reason. He obviously passed a medical etc so how is it a mistake, every footballer in the world has been injured at some point in their careers. Sk can be blamed for a few things but trying to pin this on him is just nonsense.
  20. The 2 candidates from America seems a bit strange, unless it's weeyin or Texanwellfan wanting to get involved. I guess Barmack managed to convince them how good we were 🙂
  21. When everyone is fit we are going to have some size of squad with a lot of them not getting very much game time. I thought the plan this season was quality not quantity it's early days so I hope the new arrivals so far live up to the quality tag.
  22. Most people do, thats borderline banjo country out there.
  23. As i said in the original post, they go in the south stand as do 99% of the away fans, the only reason the RC fans are in the side of the POD is because it's not worth opening the south stand for such small numbers. Although they do seem to take a random approach to it as the Edinburgh city fans were in the top tier for the league cup game.
  24. £5 or £10 off a ticket price would not have persuaded any more RC fans to travel down from Dingwall yesterday, most away supports are terrible it only the uglies, Hearts and Hibs that get anywhere near filling the south stand. Also is it not against league rules to charge fans different price for similar areas of the ground ,plus offering a Say £5 discount to the 200 odd RC fans who turned up on Saturday would cost the club £1K, repeat the same with the uglies and it's 4,000 fans at £5. So it's not good fiscal policy.
  25. Clubs like St Mirren and Kilmarnock suffer the same issue as we do ie we all play in west central Scotland and as such the vast majority of the football fans are following the ugly sisters. As far as I can recall our support has been at or around the level it's at now for the last 40 odd years irrespective of how well we do or not. St and Killie have slightly bigger supports but not by a great deal. We can run various offers and schemes etc and crowds may increase temporarily but over the season they will average out to their current levels. Our potential fanbase is limited and that was the main concern i had and still have re the WS making fan ownership effective. So for me id rather have long term initiatives to improve the fan experience for our core support instead of short term projects that ultimately show no long term benefit, we are what we are.
