Do you honestly think the other 10 teams in the league records against the uglies is any better than ours , its not so its not just a Motherwell thing , the uglies don't lose and/or draw many games over a season so almost all of the other teams record against them is as dire as ours over the years. There are the unexpected wins and draws for the other teams every season but nobody else does consistently well against them year after year .
-
That may be the case but given the size of our squad they are the probably the best 3 midfielders currently at the club, so thats why they are the 1st pick each week.

Just watched him in the game against Hamilton tonight, he's a big unit, good on the ball and seems to be scoring lots for Ayr, so he might be worth a punt but depends on what sort of contract he is on and given he is their main goal threat Ayr won't want to lose him so might be difficult to deal with.

I see on the BBC gossip page this morning that the green uglies are whining about the Jota incident, and " seeking clarification " from the SFA. As I suspected every VAR incident that goes against the uglies green or blue, the usual media shit storm is generated, but nobody gives a feck about dodgy decisions affecting the other 10 teams all this "we are always the victims " attitude they constantly have is a feckin nonsense as they know the SFA is shit scared of upsetting either of them and do feck all. No wonder Scottish football is a joke given the influence those 2 have on our game at the expense of the other 40 clubs. Every goal is checked and if the start of the play that led to the goal, ie the Celtic player heading the ball illegally to a team mate and 2 passes later its in the net, then the goal should not have stood. It's no different to commiting a foul on a player then 2 passes later your team scores, it is a clear and obvious error and that's what VAR is there for that's their remit allegedly. The illegal throw in was a clear and obvious error that led to a goal so it should not have stood. If Celtic had not scored from it nobody would give a toss, but they did and thats why it should have been disallowed.

That was my thoughts as well , I was all for it naively believing it would improve the standard of refereeing, but a few weeks in and its obvious it has not improved anything. Technology is only as good as the people using it and in Scotland the standard was woeful to start with, also given the speed with which VAR was introduced I think Scotland got the bargin basement version with limited camera's etc . So if you add this to the incompetence of the operators its no surprise we are seeing errors week in week out.
-
it's not going to be deliberate cheating so that just leaves incompetence or not checking properly, given the bargin basement VAR we got I suspect they never had a camera on it, either way its unacceptable.

OK here you go just for you, Fifa IFAB laws of the game, its law 15.2 by the way The throw in An opponent who unfairly distracts or impedes the thrower (including moving closer than 2 m (2 yds) to the place where the throw-in is to be taken) is cautioned for unsporting behaviour, and if the throw-in has been taken, an indirect free kick is awarded. and the VAR team said nothing to see here you honestly could not make up nonsense like that. So you can stop talking pish now, the goal should never have stood.
-
Its irrelevant whether his head moved or not,he walked right in front of Penny ffs and basically impeded his throw, oh and there was no way he was 2 yds away from penney, so the throw in should have been retaken and hence the goal was invalid, but when we have incompetent arseholes as VAR officials they see nothing wrong its a fekin joke.

Just back in, we gave that a right good go 2nd half and you are right we were better without KVV, More pace up front from Shields, and especially when Moult and Tierney came on. As usual though we caused our own downfall and tbh Celtic were well worth the 3 points, but I actually thought we played well, pressed high and restricted the chances they got, Kelly never had a save to make. Against a team like Celtic who have a lot of pace any mistakes are punished as we saw with our throw in that hit the Celtic player who was not even on the park, and VAR saw no problem and 3 passes later we are 2 down ,another VAR fuck up. 1st half we offered nothing apart from KVV, missing an open goal again, we can't continue with him up front on his own, Moult needs to start on Saturday.

I never said it was all bad luck, maybe the untd and Aberdeen games we never got a break but the other 2 StJ and Hearts were just bad game management, where we got ourselves into points positions and fecked it up. In truth the same could be said for the Rangers game as well, bad game management at their 1st goal, that's our biggest weakness we are shit at it.
-
Spot on, there are at least another 5 points we should have won, StJ (1) Dundee untd,(2) Aberdeen (1) all at Fir park and last Sunday at Tynecastle (1) so we really should be sitting on 21 points and 4th in the League. So we need to improve the home form drastically and learn to get more street wise, ie know when somebody needs to implement the odd professional foul and take a booking for the team as our current game management is brutal.

There is no place for sensible analysis like that on this forum .

We get the officials our game deserves,,,,,,, what a feckin ridiculous statement to make ffs. The officials not doing their job properly cost us points yesterday, they've always been poor and even now with the technology to help them they are still making a James Hunt of it every week. Decisions are made that cost teams points and we get no explanations from the officials as to why they were made, with no comeback or sanctions on the officials involved, the whole system is rotten to the core.

That's what annoys me though " not a clear and obvious error" the ref done feck all when Watt went in studs up last week so VAR checked and decided it was a red card, so they can get involved if they want to. I've not seen the highlights from today but the penalty award will have been Checked by VAR so how can Moult being denied a clear goal scoring opportunity not be a 2nd booking for Gordon and therefore a sending off...for me that was a clear and obvious error so VAR should have intervened. Would Gordon have been booked for the pen if he had not already been booked, almost certainly he would so another obvious error. VAR was meant to improve refereeing in Scotland but its the same sub standard officials running it so its improved feck all, and cost us valuable points today, I was all for VAR but from what I've seen so far it's a shambles mainly down to the standard of officials running it, and that needs to improve drastically.
-
Would that be the same Blair Spittal who got the equaliser today and has scored another couple of goals this season so far? Given how paper thin our squad is he probably is the best we have available, but for interest who would you replace him with?
-
You really are turning into a boring arsehole with the constant "we're going to lose, game over negative pish"so how about giving us all a break and try some positivity for a change
-
Grizzlyg's position as the forum comedian is safe with that attempt at humour but tbf it did make me laugh
-
Good shout, they probably still carry more of a goal threat than Shields or Tierney
-
Who cares he got sent off and helped us claim all 3 points, but it has to be said its not looking promising for VAR only 2 games in and it seems a bit of a shambles, technically and personell wise given the standard of refereeing in Scotland.

BBC gossip page saying SH has started to identify possible targets for the January transfer window, at least 2 players required apparently. Scottish Gossip: Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs, Motherwell, Ross County, Dundee Utd - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63468528

I'm sure I read somewhere that Aarons has returned to his parent club already.
-
That's not good, particularly as we have no cover, it's hard to see where our goals will come from KVV with Shields up top does not inspire confidence.
-
That's the premium version of VAR, great technology and officials who know what they are doing, not the pound shop version the Scottish Premiership seems to have implemented which denied us a stonewall penalty on Saturday.
