Looking on the kassies site for this years ECL draws Q1,Q2 and Q3 the teams were put into 8 or 9 regional groups first then the individual games were drawn, so I assume it will be the same next season. We would likely be grouped with the Scandanavian, Irish , Welsh, Faroese, Icelandic and baltic teams.

I don't think Spittal is coming to Motherwell to warm the Bench every week, an experienced premiership player who likes to get forward, scored a few goals and had a good season with RC by all accounts for me he is better than Donnelly and O'Hara so will improve the team.

His improvement in form was after he signed his PCA with Dundee, so he was leaving anyway so I think he genuinely found a bit of form and basically saved our season. After Dundees relegation it's no surprise he had 2nd thoughts on the deal, he's been our stand out defender for months.

Highland teams..the bulk of his Career has been with Queens Park and Partick Thistle, and he's been a regular starter For Ross county scored 4 or 5 goals from midfield so it's not as if we are taking a punt on some random player from a Highland league team. We can't sign a player with lots of experience from another Premiership club..no no no. the model is bring someone in from English lower / non league obscurity or Ireland etc then have a healthy debate about how they are not up to it and don't meet the standards required.
