  1. The EPL seems to have resolved the dodgy "millimetres" offside and dubious line drawing by the semi automated offside technology (SAOT). The Problem we have is that the SFA /SPFL are implementing VAR on ghe cheap, bargin basement systems not fit for purpose, not enough cameras etc and add in the incompetence of the Scottish referees then is it any wonder we get bargin basement shit decisions.
  2. It seems the KMI panel agree with you re the Butland incident, another incorrect VAR call in their opinion. Motherwell - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/motherwell
  3. I agree, but when when VAR is being used to actively look for reasons to disallow every goal, instead of its main purpose of clear and obvious errors, we are going to get this nonsense week in week out.
  4. Yes he did, his arm is on Butlands shoulder, clancy called it as a foul right away.
  5. Watch the highlights, Watts arm was on the keepers shoulder, whether it stopped him jumping is debatable but you are never going to get away with that, clancy called it as a foul right away and VAR confirmed it. As for the 2nd incident it's Casey who is off with the 1st header, he is leaning forward so head and shoulder is offside, again it might only be millimetres but when they draw the lines it's offside.. I personally think it's pish but until they scrap it or come up with a better version we have to suffer it. Nobody would have complained if they had been Rangers goals that Var disallowed.
  6. They decided not to disallow the goal because no offence took place, Stamas arm was tight to his body, correct decision for a change.
  7. 3 men in possession of pyros of whatever description arrested close to Tynecastle stadium on the day of a Hearts v Hibs Derby, aye you don't need to be Columbo to work out what their intentions were, guilty as charged.
  8. The 2 playoff games in 2015, the league cup semi in 2017, granted against weaker Rangers teams than they have now, but it can be done. Sitting back and letting rhem come on to us, hoping to keep them out only ever ends in defeat. Rangers are fragile at the back get right into them from the start and we have a chance.
  9. Let's be honest, pumped by a much better team, anything we get from these games is a big bonus, that only happens very occasionally. The ugly sisters, the green one especially very rarely drop points two games in a row, we have a better chance of a result on Sunday against the blue uglies as they are brutal at times.
  10. Nonsense he should be off the referees list altogether, the laws of football and interpretation of them are the same in the Premier league or Sunday league. If it was like real jobs the incompetent and unsuitable would be out on their backsides and replacements identified, football is no different
  11. Correct decision made, but probably no action taken against the referee, I assume the SFA/ referees closing ranks again, that what annoys me the most, no accountability no apology to the club etc it's a disgrace.
  12. It was a general statement they made on VAR ruining the game, not specific to the Casey incident.
  13. Have the fear as well but that's the best attitude to have when playing the ugly sisters, pure pessimism that way whatever the result you are never disappointed.
  14. The incident was being discussed on sky sports football by the English pundits as well Dave, concensus was it was a ridiculous decision, and VAR is ruining the game. Upholding the appeal is tantamount to an admission of guilt that the ref got it badly wrong, so it will be an interesting decision.
  15. Blair Spittal scoring again for Hearts today, to give them a 2-1 win.
  16. Celtic were well off it today, the untd keeper only had 1 real save to make, I hope they are the same on Thursday.
  17. Aw is playtime over now and your back in class in a huff.
  18. We are not the ugly sisters so the refereeing body will say feck all, as will the SFA, media, etc and the same incompetent officials will still be turning out to referee games next week with no accountability. If VAR ask the ref to review, they obviously think he's got it wrong so why not just tell him that, it's not a red card and get on with it, as if he ignores the VAR advice what's the point of them being there., Scottish football is fecked if that's how we are proceeding.
  19. 🤦‍♂️ Ffs just tell people who it is, all this i know something you don't is school play ground behaviour.
  20. For me it's a combination of bargin basement technology that's not fit for purpose, poor quality officials and and poor quality training. Add to that the "we never do anything wrong" attitude and unaccountability of the SFA/SPFL and it's a complete shit show. VAR was sold as addressing 'clear and obvious errors" to improve the game, not the actively looking for reasons to disallow goals scenario we now have.
  21. It may seem tedious but the bottom line is that the failure to award a penalty and the officials then admitting they made a James Hunt of it , probably cost Rangers a cup win, how would you feel if that had been against us? The clubs should be demanding change from the SFA, as they have no accountability VAR should be scrapped until it is fit for purpose. Watch the VAR review show on YouTube, every time it's on Willie Colum is admitting his team got it wrong on at least 1 or 2 occasions and yet the same people are still in a job.
  22. Not true actually, the combined goal tally for our lethal combined strike force so far is 10, Ebiye 4, Stamatelopoulos 4, Watt 1 and Robinson 1. As far as I can tell Kimpioka is on 8.
  23. Yes brutal, His career stats are 14 goals in 94 appearances for club and country (u19, u21) for 6 different clubs over 6 years, yes he's only 24 but hardly prolific We don't need another project, we used up all our luck with Theo Bair, and got Shafted with Robinson, we can do better than Kimpioka.
  24. He's brutal, we already have a useless striker on the books in Robinson we dont need any more
  25. I see the SFA are grovelling to the blue uglies apologising for not giving them a VAR assisted penalty in the league cup final. I wonder if we can expect the same after the ridiculous decisions at Dens Park the other week, im not holding my breath. The amount of pandering and grovelling the ugly sisters get from the Scottish football Authorities at the expense of the other 40 clubs is an embarrassment that has no place in Scottish football.
