Highland teams..the bulk of his Career has been with Queens Park and Partick Thistle, and he's been a regular starter For Ross county scored 4 or 5 goals from midfield so it's not as if we are taking a punt on some random player from a Highland league team. I have a simple outlook on games, irrespective of how you play, if you score more goals than your opponent you deserve to win, nobody ever remembers how good or Bad a team played its the result they talk about. Yes the standard outwith the top 3 is very poor but over the season as shite as we were the team picked up enough points at crucial times, Ibrox, St Mirren, Livingston etc to keep us in the hunt for the top 6 and Europe while others failed and as the results from the last 2 games show we came good when it mattered. 1 game to go and we could still finish 4th which for me would be a great achievement considering how we have performed, so let's give GA and the players some credit and hope we can build on this over the summer on the hopefully extended European tour .

There are some good teams in the conference league by Q3 and the playoff round most of the dross has been eliminated. So to make the group stages we have 6 games to get through, only 4 if we finish 4th so it will be a tough ask if we are not seeded.

The Euro draws in the qualifying rounds are all regionalised these days so it could be a Welsh or Irish team we get so no travel hassles there.

We have an excellent chance of catching untd, they are at Ibrox tomorrow and then they are at home to Celtic on Wednesday so it's very unlikely they will get any points from those 2 games. So potentially if we beat hearts we could be 2 points ahead of them with 1 game left.

When are people going to realise that from a squad of maybe 15 reserve players/ colts/development whatever they are called these days we will be lucky to get 2 or 3 that will make the step up to the 1st team, the rest won't be good enough. People seem to think they should be played irrespective of their readiness and/or ability to do so , that's not how it works. Motherwell have an excellent record of "giving youth a chance" Turnbull, Hastie, McGuire, Cornelius, Johnson, to name a few in recent years not every one makes it, but to say they never get a chance is just wrong, if they are good enough they will.
