Sensible people when moving about the pub ie going to the toilet as per Current restrictions
-
While you are in the shopping centre, pub or on the full plane you will no doubt be wearing a mask and socially distanced in the pub or plane at least as per current restrictions. Sitting in a full football stadium, inches from the person next to you, shouting, singing etc without a mask in sight is a whole different prospect when it comes to spreading the virus and infecting others, for what it's worth the 500 limit was a nonsense, for me it should have been zero. Does that quantify the response to your last post and can we class it as horrendous patter now
-
Not at all I am sure the Scottish government won't want restrictions in place any longer than they need to be, so if the advice they get from the experts says no need for crowd limits after 17/1 then I'm sure they will act accordingly. What gets me though is the number of posters on here that think that going to a football match, or the pub or a nightclub etc is more important than trying to control a highly transmissible virus that kills people and leaves others with serious long term health issues.

Nearly full and/or full houses at Ibrox , Parkhead, Tynecastle, Easter Rd and Pittodrie as is the case most weeks would put the totals into the hundreds of thousands alone never mind the other 37 grounds so no problems with my counting.
-
Do you actually engage your brain before you post ....so stopping hundreds of thousands of football fans mixing at and travelling to and from matches with no social distancing etc won't reduce the transmission and spread of covid ok then
-
Would that be the same hospital admissions in Scotland that have doubled since Christmas, large numbers of staff not at work due to covid, positive case numbers that are pretty much doubling every 2 or 3 days and you want no restrictions on people mixing and turning football matches into super spreader events.....stop talking shite.
-
You probably won't get long odds on both of them going down 1 automatic and the other via the play-offs.
-
All those stats are just made up pish, no doubt keeping a team of geeks in employment making it up as they go, to give other geeks something to discuss. The only stats that matter are games played, won, drawn , lost and total points.
-
They are getting desperate now , Ciftci's career goals total is 55, in 11 years ffs so he is very unlikely to solve their scoring problems .
-
If Lafferty wasn't such a dickhead off the field he would have been a brilliant player, lots of ability but his heads wasted we don't need that nonsense upsetting the team.
-
Why would Motherwell agree to swap our top goalscorer for any random player Untd would be willing to get rid of, and therefore by definition shite, even cash plus a player is a nonsense, TW has agreed to go in the summer that should be the end of it.
-
I can't believe the club would entertain letting Watt go in January middle of the season your top scorer probably at peak fitness moving to a direct rival for the top 6, Euro places etc. Tell untd to jog on and expect him in the summer having had no game time for 4 months, not match fit and bored from picking the skelfs from his arse from all that time on the bench.
-
Apparently our style of play did not suit his style best laugh so far this year
-
It's all quite simple really, Watt has turned down a new contract he no longer wants to be at Fir park so for me he should never play for us again, give him 4 months or so of warming the bench, no game time and then wish him well in the summer when he goes to Tannadice.
-
Current rumours if true suggest the Untd offer to Watt is in the region of 4k per week, no doubt there will be a substantial signing on fee as well. So a 3 year package in excess of 624k plus any bonuses no wonder he took it, how Untd finance it is their issue but its a no brainer for Watt.
-
Spot on, he turned down our new offer and found a better one elsewhere so he's done nothing wrong in my opinion. We could get some cash for him in the January window, depends how desperate untd are to get him in, but for me we should knock back any offer and keep him for the season it's not good business to move on your top scorer to a close rival team mid season
-
Are you really that naieve to think that a club can't get a story in the press and make sure it's not directly attributed to them, that's what football agents are for, and for me that's what happened here, leak it via an agent or other party then use the " can't confirm or deny anything line" when asked a direct question.
-
Anyone else having issues with the match stream, seems to be constantly buffering?
-
I suppose missing my 1st game this season won't do me any harm, it will give me a chance to wash and iron my masks and hazmat suits in case I need to pop out Merry Christmas to you and yours as well .
-
No email from the club so it's the sofa a few beers and the livestream for me.
-
The sad thing is you really do seem to believe the antivax it's all a big government conspiracy pish you continue to spout, you probably go out at weekends burning down 5G phonemasts as well. In answer to your question when there are no restrictions on matches I very rarely if ever miss any, I can only assume you or anyone close to you has never had covid and the long term health issues it still causes to some, my wife included. But you carry on with the conspiracy theories the rest of us will do the sensible stuff
-
Yes, as I said a few posts back honking patter.
-
Over reaction to a declining issue what a feckin ridiculous statement to make about a virus that kills people and leaves others still struggling health wise a year later, have a look at yourself FFS. Public health and people's lives are more important than going to a football match, oh and the "wee crankie" patter is honking, get a grip.
-
Don't talk shite it's not a vendetta against football it a public health emergency, people are dying and this new covid variant is rampant so action had to be taken, stopping hundreds of thousands of fans mixing all over the country was a no brainer.
-
Unfortunately you won't be heading anywhere The Scottish Government has just banned spectators from all football matches for at least 3 weeks from the 26th inclusive.
