I see the daily rancid is reporting that apparently a super computer has predicted we will finish 7th this season, no surprise who they have as winners https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/supercomputer-issues-rangers-56-title-24828833

For me it was dangerous / Serious foul play by Stryjek, if it had been on Amaluzor we would all have been screaming for a red card, so it should be no different against your own player. Irrespective of that I think the ref halted play far too quickly, the whistle was blown before Kelly hit the plastic as it was clearly never a foul by Amaluzor.

Devante Cole on for Barnsley as a 2nd half sub today he looked good when he came on , not the best result though Barnsley gave up a 2-0 lead.

Why is the comparison with Hastie unfair? Both of them came through the academy took their chance when it came and looked like they would become 1st team regulars. Then after a great few months each they followed the cash to deals with bigger clubs, which in my view was a mistake,as another season or two to develop at Fir park would have been a better prospect, but that said I won't criticise anyone for looking for a better wage and financial security. As it turns out both of them started well but failed to kick on resulting in them being loaned out, so the comparison is very valid.
-
He's not developed at all in my opinion it looked like he would kick on in the 1st few months after he went to Hull but that was it. The championship in England is a big step up from League 1 and for me he's not up to it, a few loan deals until his contract expires then he will be back up the road and end up in the championship up here alongside Hastie.

Success on the field would be great but can't be guaranteed, there are loads of clubs up and down the country who have won feck all in their entire existence, should they just give up then? Football clubs started right at the heart of local communities the vast majority of them still are including us and as fans we should be proud of that, or would you prefer we adopted the uglies model and take the fans for granted as long as a profit is made. Plus engaging with the community in whatever way we can has its upsides, more fans supporting their local club which brings bigger crowds, and so more income to the club, which ultimately could mean better players and on field success, but if it doesn't we will be a bit disappointed but smugly satisfied that as a club we have helped a lot of people in the community while trying.

That's all he has to look forward to until his Rangers contract runs out, then he will no doubt get a permanent move to an L1 or L2 club.
-
Why is he outwith our budget, Messi was available on a free transfer we were just too slow to respond ahead of PSG, need to think big.
-
As far as I am aware it should be a red card, maybe the ref thought it was not deliberate, or more likely he bottled it .
-
Glasgow City Council were never going to refuse any request from the uglies, leaving the decisions up to individual local authorities is nonsense, the Scottish government has removed the social distancing rules so why can't clubs get back to normal operations, it's a feckin shambles. The government should either decide full crowds or continued restrictions applied to all clubs instead of the shambles we have now.
-
No it's not, the current rules are crowds up to 5k require no additional permission which is only required if clubs want more than 5k fans in attendance. After midnight tonight all the rules re social distancing have been removed, so crowds of any size will be legal so I assume full crowds will then be permitted

For me that's the biggest issue with it, I've no problem with what the main colour it is as long as it has some claret and Amber on it to let people know its a Motherwell shirt. Change the yellow looking stripes to wider proper Amber ones, maybe alternate them with claret and you have a nice kit in the club colours, What really surprises me though is i assume the club signed off on this design with no obvious connection to Motherwell other than the dodgy adjusted club crest. It will be interesting to see how many it sells in comparison to previous away kits, as that will be the real judgement on it.

An interesting article on the BBC website regarding the covid loans taken by every premiership club apart from Celtic. It seems we borrowed the 3rd highest amount behind Aberdeen and Rangers, just under £3m, so we are not the debt free club we thought we were. It seems the loans came with very strict conditions and looks like we will be paying them back for the next 20 years . To me it seems unfair that the championship, league 1 & 2 clubs were given grants, with nothing to pay back while top flight clubs are saddled with debts for years to come. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-58104430

A great result yes but entirely due to very poor finishing from Galatasary and comical goal keeping for the pen, StJ offered very little but you need a bit of luck in Europe so they will take the result.
