Well said Dave it was a shambles the alleged stewards are,a waste of space they do nothing and are not interested in helping anybody, "speak to the club" was the frequent response I heard them dishing out. For games like that the stewarding has to be robust but I don't know if these guys actually receive any training on how to handle crowds like that, I suspect not for me they just pull on the high viz jacket stand about for a couple of hrs doing feck all and then pocket their wages, the club needs to sort it out.

Just back in it was 95 mins of shite from both teams, and Sligo took the chance when Mugabi fucked up, that's all they done, Kelly had 2 saves to make all night and both of them were comfortable. By November we could be sitting 3rd in the league, looking forward to fixture congestion with league Cup semis and Europa conference league group stage matches , playing well and there would still be people moaning on here, you all know who you are. I really would love to know what some people expect from a team like Motherwell over a season ,winning the league is never going to happen, so is it constant top 6 finishes, deep cup runs, euro qualification or be greedy and expect all 3. As a club just beginning our 35th season I think in the top division, reasonably frequent Top 6 and Euro qualification, runners up in the league twice with champions league entry for a club our size I think we do very well compared to other clubs of a similar size and even better than some so called bigger clubs at times, and all achieved with various managers, so let's try and talk up our achievements over the years instead of constantly whinging and slating the club.

There's a simple reason our squad of players are playing at a higher level in the Scottish Premiership and not in the LOI , they are better players, every senior player we have would walk into any Irish team , so as Kmcalpin says we are far stronger than them and should win . But as we know especially following Motherwell teams can have bad games etc so we need to be professional and get right in about them from the 1st whistle and dominate the game, if we do that we will win comfortably and hopefully get the tie settled at Fir park,

Good post but we also need to be winning games and going a bit deeper into European competitions as do all the Scottish clubs to improve our coefficient etc, so that we don't need to start at Q2 in July against the Diddy teams. Making the group stages would be massive for Motherwell but the way UEFA are operating its getting harder each year for smaller clubs to get there. Pandering to the big clubs greed for more money needs to stop, take The blue uglies as an example lose in champions league Q3 or get through and lose in the playoff round and you drop into the Europa league group stages its feckin nonsense, if your out you should be out of all tournaments.

Likewise for me, if I remember correctly Dortmund went all the way to the semi final that year and we had the best result of all the teams that played in the wesfalen stadium that year in the UEFA cup. For me it will be one of 4 teams, Astana. Istanbul, Sparta Prague and Shkendija we will be playing as they should all get through Q2 and on paper the 1st 3 of them are much better than us, the Macedonian team are probably our best chance of progress from that 4. There may be an upset in Q2 and the non seeded team gets through so we may get some luck there, whoever we get though it going to be a tough ask. Of course all assuming we get past Sligo.

A shite draw for me, guaranteed it will be the furthest away, most difficult to get to team we are drawn against ,I reckon we will be going back to Israel but as you say Kazakhstan would not surprise me,.
