Its nothing to do with the way our fans turnout, our core support has been stable for decades, it's almost entirely geography based, location, location, location as they say. We are a top flight club right in the middle of the ugly sisters prime territory, with the sectarian baggage that comes with them so we are never going to attract any of those fans as they all do what's been bred into them since birth and join the blue and green hoardes. Some will turn out for a cup final, but that's usually because their big team are not involved.

In the 50 odd years I've been attending games at Fir Park, the crowds have never been great, they were probably larger on average back then, but people's habits change, different work patterns, increased cost etc limit today's attendances. 4 to 6K is about the limit for our home crowds plus how many thousands of fans travel from our traditional catchment area to support the ugly sisters every week? We have our stable core support, various things have been tried over the years but we are never going to significant crowd increases, maintaining what we have is more important.

A sponsor free option for any of the 1st 2nd or 3rd kits would sell extremely well, the club is missing out on a significant potential income. Assuming the terms of the deal with provan sports actually include the club getting any percentage of the sales revenue. If it means being a bit more creative and ruthless with the sponsorship deals to include the club selling sponsor free options, then so be it.

This will be a tough one, their new manager has got them playing well, unbeaten so far this season, a point would be a good result. That said we have won our last 3 in a row so if we continue with that form we could get a result, here's hoping.

Corrected your post for you, irrespective of what people think it seems a minority have crossed the line a few times, so is it any surprise individuals are being banned. Stick to the singing, tifos, creating a good matchday atmosphere etc etc and there will be no issue's Be the Motherwell ultras and not some bunch of wannabe green brigade clones, with a political agenda and actively seeking confrontation at every turn.

Just watched the highlights on sportscene, it should never have been a corner that led to Ebiye's goal, the keeper never touched it. Still we've been on the receiving end of stuff like that before so it's nice to get some luck for a change, it's been a good couple of weeks.

Take away all of the hype and tradition around supporting football clubs and That's exactly what they are, paying customers of a business just like any other leisure activity, cinema, restaurants, health clubs etc etc. So as I mentioned before certain polices, codes of conduct etc need to be followed as a condition of buy that particular service. It's up to the club to ensure these conditions are not detrimental and actually make Fir park a better place to pay to go to.

I get the impression we won't be getting a midfielder this window, for me it will be a makeshift midfield until January and hopefully the Injury list has cleared. It's a very dodgy strategy, we don't want a repeat of last seasons.

They might be wild and as you say the issue won't be a problem for teams with huge crowds every game. But the guidelines / policies in effect are not based on attendance figures so they apply equally to every club. Given the guidelines seem to give the clubs a fair bit of leeway I have no doubt Motherwell could reduce the age limit to 12 if they wanted to, so they must have their reasons for choosing 14.

This is not a Motherwell thing a quick search on Google and most of the English premiership seems to be under 16's need to be accompanied so I would assume the FA, EPL, EFL SFA , SPFL etc are all issuing guidelines for the clubs to follow. Caldwell mentions in his update he thought 16 was too high so Motherwell made it 14, so there is obviously some leeway for the clubs to set their own policies. The clubs obviously have legal and regulatory constraints on them so limits need to be set.

Why not offer Ryan Jack a short term or pay per play deal given his fitness concerns, probably won't cost that much. If he stays injury free he's a big upgrade on what we have now, Miller apart., surely worth a punt.

I see Max Johnston has been called up by Scotland for the nations league games, hope he gets some game time.
