Braved it to watch the highlights on Sportcene, didn't really think it was a foul on Gomis, but refs do tend to give those ones nowadays. Both goals are preventable if Law puts a half decent challenge in ,sorry to pick on the guy, especially second goal, there are others though, who could have done better. Helluva strike by the boy, though

Haven't watched the challenge back yet, at the time I thought it's one of those ones you usually get nowadays , but we didn't and the rest is history. I think Josh Law has been ok, felt for him a bit when he was berated week in week out on here, but I don't have much confidence when he's on the ball.

He could try connecting with the ball when one on one with the keeper......then this could be a totally different thread

On the subject of dodgy pens.The one Hibs got v St Johnstone looked very dodgy also , but harder to call than the one we lost .Refs need to be a bit shrewder .Video technology for big decisions would be an asset, as I said, their jobs are not easy.

Fair dues, but there are some "challenges" that are harder to call than others....that one v Dundee wasn't a difficult decision, if he can't see a boy throwing himself down as a last resort in a nothing challenge, he shouldn't be doing the job. Wouldn't want to be a ref , it's a thankless task , but we have had at least 3 dubious pens against us this year, I can think of.The only one that you could argue was technically a pen was Lasley v Hamilton , and it wasn't exactly a stonewaller.

Just watched the highlights, as others have said , penalty is a ridiculous decision.Players will keep chucking themselves in the box , as long as there are refs gullible enough to buy it.Even if Cadden did touch the player , which I doubt, it wasn't a foul , he has eyes on the ball and has back to the Dundee player.The Dundee player has thrown himself down , it's the last 2 mins of the game , thinking you never know.......

Never really done that much wrong.......apart from put us out of e Europa cup, throw the ball in the net v Aberdeen and Dundee.....good luck to the boy but every boss can't be wrong

If our fringe players, with four or five experienced players in the side, aren't good enough to win this game then they're simply not good enough... Why take the chance, we played a weakened team v Albion Rovers a few years ago.........some of the fringe players from that day are playing in the Highland league now

I think the main factor is more to do with the saturation coverage on TV .Granted its good to see good teams ,occasionally, e.g Barcelona.,but you can turn on the TV and watch any old dross 7 nights a week,if you wanted.

I think big Ripley is better than Dan.The second goal was the type Dan specialised in ,straight through his hands.I didn't think the big man was especially at fault on Saturday and also had a couple of great saves.That's the last 2 managers who have played him in front of Dan,so theyre must be something init

Just to keep it all together: He doesn't seem popular especially with the Celtic fans , so for that reason he is ok with me. I don't really see why he's unpopular , he knows the game , been around for a while , likes to reminisce, likes his music and supports a provincial club.......what's not to like? He seems an easy target for people

Never a penalty , if he's using his hands for leverage , how can he avoid the ball hitting his hands.None of the two yellows were justified imo, took the ball cleanly for the first and the second was a nothing incident, especially when in the last seconds.....so apart from that ref wasn't too bad

Disagree re Marvin Johnson , not at his best , but when he is , there is a player there.i suppose it's up to MM to get the best out if him.....if he can

Was it a pen in first place?defender is jumping for header ,hands naturally go up for leverage,and hits him with his back to ball.....that's my recollection anyway.... Might look different when I see it again
