I just wish him well in Europe this season.....or ever again. Thought he was a decent keeper for us and would have him back in a flash ahead of Fraser, but he clearly believed he was better than he actually is. Not entirely the fault of the defence that we have not been able to defend corners/free kicks for the past few years methinks. Anyway, enjoy Brighton Buzz. I understand there are lots of nice young men to befriend.

Agreed about Hammell. Probably not the best defensive left back but good going forward and is at the centre of most of our positive play. Potential to form a good partnership with Slane. Can't agree about Bamba. Don't rate him at all. As for Klimpl, I thought he was a decent SPL player and would have liked him to stay on. Not sure I would take him now though given he tried to get a move to other teams, Aberdeen in particular.

Agreed 100% Hammell/Slane partnership looks like it could be very productive. Wonder though how they will get on against better teams when they have to defend a lot more?

Think Sutton is a decent finisher but needs quality crosses, which he got tonight. Anyone else reckon S4C should put in a cheeky bid for the SPL rights? Would be better than Booth, Burley et al

Let's just hope they're wrong! I know it is early days and JG will have my full support, but we have lost virtually our entire first team from last year. It remains to be seen who we can bring in and whether they take time to knit together and adjust to the SPL. The worry is that the replacements simply won't be as good as Hughes, Clarkson, Quinn and Smith.... For what it's worth, I reckon Hamilton are doomed if they lose the traitor and the other two.

We could do a lot worse that get Steven MacLean on loan as well. Has a good record in the lower leagues in England and the added bonus is that it may well p*ss off MM who is apparently trying to sign him on loan for the sheep scarers.
