I walk passed the Davie Cooper statue every day taking the dog for a walk and got to thinking, just an idea but with all the sad news in recent times of Motherwell players passing on should we have a part of Fir Park to remember players who wore Claret and Amber? We cant rename stands for everyone and we cant put up statues for ever so what about a wall like the bricks at the cooper where players could have name and maybe some stats put up for all to remember and pay respects? It's just an idea and I for one would think it a fitting way to remember some of our boys!

Reynolds to play football good football. Klimpl to take a hit out on anybody and win every 50/50 ball he went for. The Gannon way wouldn't suit a Klimpl type player. In JG we trust

Loads of very good points being made here and I agree with loads of them. I won't make as many games this season and it is down to cash. I don't know what the answer is but I would love the OF to piss off to England and I think our game would grow as I do know a number of people who have lost interest in our game coz its the same old story year in and year out. I hope the SKY/ESPN deal reminds people that we are still here but short term I don't think anything will change. Tho if we win the title this season .... ..... ..... ..... ..... ....

Melvin I'm only passing on what he told me. I think the comment from the girlfriend was an off the cuff remark made in the passing. He did say to me he had it from inside Ibrox so thats where its come from. I hope its all shite as I dont think we can afford to lose anybody else at the moment.

DONT SHOOT THE MESSENGER! Christ I hope this isn't true but here goes. Just come back from being away for a few days and met my neighbour on my way in, I stay in Bothwell and not too far away from Mark Reynolds and my neighbour knows him and his girlfriend (Laura?) to speak to. He knows I'm a Well fan and we always have a wee joke about the football, but he has just told me that Rangers will make a late bid for Mark as it looks like they are going to lose a first team defender on or just before deadline day. He said he asked his girlfriend if they were moving down south soon and got the reply "no we will be staying here he will just have to travel a wee bit further everyday" Now this is where I don't want to believe him but he thinks Rangers have put a value of around 800K on him. (Was 1M last year so hoping this is where this might be pub talk gone wrong) I dont think we could turn that kind of money down as a club right now but I hope we dont need to be tested on it. The only other thing from this that gives me any kind of hope that this is a non-starter is I have a friend in the tax office (very high up) who has told me that David Murray is in a hole at the moment and having sell off companies because the banks are really putting the pressure on. Selling companies for 1p just to cut down his debt. That being the case 800K would have to go to the bank first before any player could be bought. My neighbour has never made such a claim before and I know he has lots of contacts in at Ibrox and thats where this has come from. Also any football news he has ever told me has been spot on as he has a friend that is an agent as well (scum). I hope this is wrong but just wanted to pass on what could be an alarming bit of news for all Well fans. I WANT TO BE WRONG. Was at the funeral this morning. Over heard somebody saying that the home game with Killie will be used for the club to show respect. It was very moving today and very fitting that so many people turned out for Paul. Rest in peace wee man, Gone but NEVER forgotten.

I've posted this on the game thread as well so sorry to do it again. I've just watched the highlights on Eurosport and don't know if anybody else noticed what JG got sent to the stand for? As he was shouting at the Ref. he lifts his hand and rubs his fingers together and clearly shouts "how much are you getting!" He basically accused the Ref of being paid off! He only said what most in the stadium were thinking. I'm not saying we would have gone through, but hell what a claim for our club to be able to say we had beat a team of that standing. Love this guys passion for the game, I like the style of our play and I know some on here are all wait and see and some think we might struggle this season. I for one don't. Bring it on is my shout and once again I'm sure we will all have Sat afternoons that put us on a downer on a Sat night but WE are Motherwell and as fans we accept that. Let me put my neck out here and say I think we will rip a few teams apart this season, top six minimum and a great cup run. In Gannon we trust.

Pen turned down Gannon was well lets just say animated........... as he was shouting at the ref the ref told him to calm down then right in his face Gannon rubs his fingers together and is clearly shouting "how much you getting" then goes back for seconds We now play with passion and pride.
