I would see Polworth ahead of him
-
The subs made me scratch my head. Scott was playing well. Seedorf had almost scored and both get taken off. Cole had probably the worst game I think in his professional career. Kept falling over, couldnt keep the ball more than a second. Hold up was non existent. Why Robinson persisted with him for so long and took two players off who were actually contributing is beyond me. Long took his goal well and is a good finisher. He can hold it up as well. Apart from Cole the team played well. Defence coped well with anything St. Mirren threw at them which wasn't much. Maguire looked assured in the centre of the park and played with composure. Lost a few balls but so did more experienced players. One for the future. Campbell was everywhere once again. Polworth outstanding and unfortunate not score with a sublime shot. I think we will be lucky to hold onto Gallagher and Polworth come 1st January as they are standouts.

wonder strike

He just did

He looks like a confidence player, so I hope that doesnt make him hide for the rest of the game.

hmmm might be hyper critical after all we scored 3 goals and got 3 points away from home. However a few points for me that need addressed. 1. Shooting - virtually every single player who had a shot on goal from outside the box put it miles over the bar. Any school kid knows to get your head over the ball and not lean back, poor technique. 2. Gillespie - Distribution is absolutely woeful at times 3. Passing - is still painfully slow getting the ball around the park. Almost pedestrian. I know the surface has a lot to do with it in this game but I would like to see us get some more urgency into shorter more fluid passing. 4. Hylton done more in two short runs than Seedorf done the whole time he was on the park. Seedorf needs loaned out and a year in the gym. I have seen primary school players with more strength. I still have no idea what Cole's position is meant to be or what he is supposed to be doing when he gets on the park, can someone enlighten me? Work in progress I know (seem to say this every season) but in my opinion which means not a lot I know we need to work harder if we have any desire to be challenging for top half at the break. Well done on getting the derby win, 3 points and at least better application than whatever that was against Hearts.

my thoughts exactly

He really has no idea how to beat his man, beat himself a few minutes ago.

If I was the manager I would fling on an extra winger and pound their defence with crosses. Although who to take off?

We always find a way to give a team a route back into the game, come on kill these fuckers off

No manager will ever bin someone he has just signed, It questions their decision making and no manager is that suicidal. Lennon dropped his defender the other night he signed because he didn't trust him but our manager doesn't have the luxury of benching so many of his own signings. I would be interested to know what Robinson budget is and what if any money for wages he actually has left. I know it's been mentioned he keeps some in reserve for January. Problem is I don't think we can wait for January. Only Gallagher/Carroll in my eyes have been a solid signings and if they keep playing the way they have they will be the first ones sold in January. The rest (apart from Sloth) have been pretty woeful. Some of these guys need serious time in the gym to build mass as they are like children playing against men when compared to the Hearts players last night and that's me just addressing a very small part of what's wrong with these guys. Why cant our coaches get these guys even reasonably fit, do we have the right coaches?. I also need to understand why we are signing players we have never seen playing, We seem to be signing someone who has great stats on football manager or whatever the scouting software we seem to be utilising. Let's get back to scouts actually assessing players using their own eyes and reporting back to the club. SO many things need looked at I dont even know where to begin other thats whats mentioned already. At least the park looks good I suppose.

Why the hell do we make ourselves look like a fucking amateur pub team on national TV, twice in a row now. We must be the laughing stock of the country. Cant wait for Robinson interview excuses regarding that rank shite
-
Maybe so but when you see him continually pinging goal kicks to seedorf and the ball being intercepted constantly by the celtic defence you would expect the keeper to change his distribution thats why he was getting pelters. I am happy to forgive and forget but he does need to work on his poor distribution. Maybe thats why we are constantly trying to play out from the back
-
Probably Gillespie worst performance. He was getting absolute pelters in the first half for his distribution from the Cooper. He seemed very nervous. The free kick an amateur keeper could have saved without any problem. I was right behind it and everyone was shouting at him to cover his left side, then he went down in installments as the ball trundle slowly past him. My son said he was embarrassed seeing that one go in.

If I am being optimistic it’s a draw away from home and another clean sheet
-
Turnbull came round the park and got a standing ovation from the fans at start of game
-
We get a draw I will be happy as we have been pretty dreadful. Seedorf has done more than any other outfield player for me but Gillespie gets mom for his saves. Ends 0-0
-
3 minutes extra.
