  1. Cadden brings so much to our game and is a magnificent out ball who's runs are so much a part of our attacking play. if any player is sold he is the one I think we will miss the most. His workrate is phenomenol.
  2. Heneghan mentioned here as well http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/who-ben-heneghan-reported-birmingham-13551995
  3. Random comment of the week award
  4. he only filled in as a central defender thats not his main role, so doesnt count
  5. Unless your the agent or in the know then this is purely conjecture. Who knows if there is any clause in the contract whatsoever. Some people actually sign extended contract for more money and a guarantee of first team football and/or the like where they are at this time and place.
  6. Bigi has not been making the impact I hoped he would, seems very lightweight and easily knocked off the ball to the point he is easily brushed aside by most players so far in the games I have been to. This hasn't allowed him to show us his attacking game much, just a few glimpses here and there.
  7. Rose has done nothing in my eyes to keep getting a start. Then again I am only a fan
  8. get that as a down payment for big kipre to sign on for another year
  9. If that linesman had flagged directly in front of the Well fans I am positive his flag would have had to be surgically removed. He took an absolute torrent the whole game and sprinted to the other side of the park at full time.
  10. Just in...omfg...scenes at the end...memorable..thats why we make those long journeys. If I was cynical I would say that referees definitely have it in for us already this season. that has to be the poorest refereeing i have observed in ages. The referee was looking at both his linesmen at our winner looking for any excuse to chalk it off he was absolutely fuming. That made it even more enjoyable. The fighting qualities in that team were immense never once did the heads go down. What a keeper we have in Carson, some miraculous saves tonight. Bowman never stopped running when he came on and he doesn't deserve some of the hate he gets on here. He gives 100% as soon as he gets on the park. Fisher must be the unluckiest guy in the world in front of goal. What must he have to do to get on the score sheet. he never seemed to let it worry him though and was a danger the whole game. Bigi was ok first half but his head went down big time when he gave the ball away for their goal and got subbed. Rose was pretty anonymous. McHugh was trying to run the midfield himself at times as Rose and Bigi had dropped off. In extra time he was throwing his body into tackles all over to win the ball and mount an attack. Young MacLean played really well and made a definite impact when he came on despite his goal with some really good runs down the wings and getting crosses in. Cadden for me, man of the match by a country mile. the guy is unstoppable, what an engine. Was absolutely everywhere and most of the good attacking plays came through him. New guy Plummer at the back looks pretty handy and likes to pass the ball rather than punt it up the park.
  11. Heading up tomorrow with my son, long car journey but hopefully watch the Well go through to the next round
  12. Only thing I will say about frear and tanner is I wish they would take their opponents on. Dunno if the instructions from the manager is to play it inside all the time and keep possession but you get the feeling that if they beat their man they will become more of a danger in the wide areas. Both can supply decent balls when they do get in a good position though. I like that our back 3 didnt allow anyone to bully them or push them off the ball. More assured performance from heneghan as well. On the opposition their No9 caught the eye, seemed a bit frustrated at times with the lack of any support and made a few solo runs to try to make something happen.
  13. Bowman never gave up, ran for every lost cause and won balls in the air he had no right winning. He was also unlucky not to score. Whats not to like. Tait is relishing that right wing role and is becoming more and more influential. Carson has to get assists for the first and second goals surely.
  14. Great display, thoroughly enjoyed that. Anyone who thinks we should accept 500k for Moult is off their head. Guy is a standout.
  15. I couldnt give a damn about the score, its the performance, its like dejavu. Unbelievable how complacent we get as a support. After warnings of complacent play in the first half of games last season against Dundee and Aberdeen you all just accept it as normal. I give up. Have it your way I will however no doubt mention this again throughout the season when we do this over and over again. Doubt we can blame preseason rustiness again. Bring on a much sterner test against Morton. I will be there again to support the team as usual
  16. Ahh such thorough, incisive comment from a guy with 55 posts in the last 5 years...glad you managed to pull all your brain cells together to form the sentence even if you probably got help to do it and didn't understand what it meant
  17. Thank you very much for a thorough explanantion of what may have occurred yesterday. unlike some who just think we should just accept the same old 'its preseason' explanantion which I have always found to be crap especially when one of the teams we played had the same amount of new faces but beat us quite comfortably last week
  18. No thats what you think..not what I am saying at all. I do expect a much better, more professional approach and application to their play by professional footballers against amateurs, rusty, preseason or not. If you need to comment on the booing then it came from the majority of fans, give them a hard time for turning up and expecting professionals to actually try and look interested preseason or not. As such we seen that application in the 2nd half which shows that they can apply it when they want to
  19. OMG..!! .I will make it simple for you....it was the first half PERFORMANCE I am talking about..If we start like this in the league as we have been guilty of before we will not get a comfortable win...we were playing amateurs ffs. A premiership team would have punished us severely for that first half performance remember Dundee, Aberdeen last season..!!
  20. When the team put more application into the warm up than they did for the first 45 minutes then they get booed. you dont see that on the TV but is was plain to every fan who turned up. Its not silly its a natural reaction when you see performances like the first half. This isn't the first time that Motherwell have done this. We cannot just turn up for 45 minutes in each game if we want to stay in the league this season. There is no 'hate' that I can see for Heneghan however his performance was terrible. What were you expecting when he gifted them the goal, almost fucked up again by scoring in his own net and unable to hold off a forward who looked 5'4 bullying him.
  21. lol that has got to be the understatement of the century, were you watching the same game at all..?? They deserved to be booed..no application at all first half, most players were asleep and not interested. Heneghan was a bonbscare the whole game. Gifted them the goal, nearly scored an og. A minute to go he has the ball, can kick it out the park if he wants but passes it straight to one of their players and they are on the attack and nearly score. Gets bullied by players half his size. Fans around me had their eyes covered every time a ball came near him. My biggest concern was the complete lack of a midfield in the first half as every ball kept getting pumped into the corners bypassing them completely. Pass marks for Kipre, Carson, our captain and our subs...everyone else was in first gear and looked scared they would get an injury if they upped it to 2nd gear.
  22. Really..? I thought Kipre was head and shoulders above most of the guys on the park. Composed, never hid, won every tackle and header. Forever cleaning up for heneghan and can pass a ball, some of them set up some decent attacks. Was always looking for the ball. Heneghan is the only player there that gives me the fear. He is woeful and at fault for almost every attack QP had.
  23. Was he not already released by the club in May..?
  24. I am pretty positive because again in another game we seem to have created so many chances just the finishing hasnt been there yet. However when and if it does we will give someone a doing if this keeps up. My concern is one striker up front. I really dont like that and have always been an advocate of two up top.
