  1. Agree, none of those players fills me with any confidence of maintaining a top six finish next season and I hope the club and McCall continue to surprise us with unknown signings from down south or decent loan signings from some bigger clubs.
  2. Hope to god we don't leave all our signings to the last minute in the hope of getting bargains and leaving our European preparations in tatters. I am hopeful that Stuart McCall has a list of targets and negotiations are ongoing. I like the fact we don't announce possible signing so we don't get Aberdeen and the likes trying their usual pish but it fair leaves you nervous when you don't hear anything at all.
  3. I am really struggling to find what, if anything Paddy McCourt would bring to our team other than raising the average age of the squad. A huge backwards step if he is signed.
  4. Yeah, I posted that up on the shoutbox this morning only to find contradictory headlines from the other newspapers
  5. Yeah its getting pretty repetitive...Why did he go to Rangers rather than down South.?,Lack of ambition.! anybody but them..!! blah blah blah....Get over it..move on..
  6. FFS move on...He is a Rangers/Sevco player now....He gave us two good years, he has signed for another club as many have before and will in the future, get over it.
  7. My F5 button has broken...
  8. Where's Carluke Murray, tell him to get in touch with his last contact...
  9. Not sure he would have any sway as he doesn't have a seat on the board..What difference does it make..??
  10. The board of Directors have been pretty good in selecting the last few managers who have, despite a few personal lapses from the managers themselves, been good for the club. I will trust the same directors to keep this trend going and will pick the right man for the job. I for one have faith in our board as I believe they have done a sterling job in the last few years despite some barracking on here from some. Keep up the good work in difficult financial times. Although it's crucial to have the right manager I think it is just as important to have the right directors steering the club in these troubled days and they have acquitted themselves well.
  11. I could say the same for the roasters on the 'Better Together' scaremongering forums
  12. McGhee is a no for me..although he handled himself impeccably during our darkest period, him constantly whoring himself to any team that would take him put me right off him. I only want someone who can at the least commit for a couple of years and not constantly fawn over anything Old Firm related. Edit - Inthebasement beat me to it
  13. No Thanks...Foran is past it now and is also under contract to 2014 and Butcher had his chance.
  14. http://www.football365.com/motherwell/8711367/Motherwell-chief-executive-Leeann-Dempster-hopeful-on-league-reconstruction Our Chief Executive, On transfers, League reconstruction etc..
  15. Good shouts both of them.!!
  16. Seriously, Yes, I expect us as a club to achieve top six. I think that is a realistic expectation for our club. I remember the old days as well. However I am quite optimistic that despite our low wage budget there is a desire for players to come and ply their trade here. Over the years we have gave players who were going nowhere a chance to play first team football and they have went on to play in big clubs down south. So I don't think my expectations are set too highly, some folk need to stop being so damn pessimistic. We all know what out attendances have been and we have to cut our cloth to adjust. However so many other clubs in this league are in a far worse position and I don't see anything extraordinary about maintaining our high standard of attacking play. We have lost big players before and survived and even improved, so it's not impossible to maintain out standards.
  17. McCall is a good manager, but every manager has good and bad signings..Daley for me has been a disaster. So I won't go with the McCall we trust shout. With our ever decreasing budget we need to keep bringing in the players who can either maintain our standing in the league or improve it and I personally feel this guy is a huge step backwards. No sign that we could sell him on as he will be the wrong side of 30 and at that age your sell on value usually plummets. He hasn't exactly stood out at St. Mirren and his shot stopping is questionable by his own fans, which as a goalkeeper is your main job. I will, of course, support any player who wears the claret and amber but I don't see him as being a replacement for Hollis never mind Randolph.
  18. Yep, gonna enjoy it just now, revel in the glory..Well done to everyone at Motherwell FC..Players, staff, coaches and manager and all the guys behind the scenes who don't normally get any credit. Thanks to those directors who financed the Faddy deal, came at exactly the right time for our push for 2nd.
  19. I would prefer an injured Craig Gordon...
  20. Well Well

    New Away Kit

I think it looks brilliant. Definitely buying that.
  21. As there was no agreement re league reconstruction do we not get the full whack..??
  22. No meaningless games in the league for the Mighty Well, I must admit I am enjoying the run in immensely. Hope Higgy can add to his total.
  23. I hope he does sign back up he could have another great year for us and I for one would be delighted to cheer the big man on come the opening game of the season.
