  1. just clarified that for those who are not aware of who your big team is.
  2. Seriously, holy fuck you are so deluded it is not worth pointing out the obvious.
  3. No matter who we get in the draw it should be reinforced by the Motherwell management to the players that we are the fucking Well and are scared of nobody, go out there and rip they fuckers to shreds. I coudn't give a monkeys if we are beaten as long as we give it 100% in every game and none of this backs against the walls hoping for a draw pish.
  4. I can't understand some on here..We all 'talk' about how we are going to dig into our pockets to help the club and when the club put a wee bit extra on the tickets to help the club out in dire times they get roundly booed... FFS get your hands in your pockets, pay the going rate and fill the stadium, do you support the Well or not..?? Well get bloody buying its the Champions League christ, who cares if its 'only' the qualifying stage, the players done great to get us into this position lets support them and the club.
  5. Is there such a thing..?? now I know you are making things up
  6. The SFL teams should just say.. no to this shit..!! back to you Doncaster and the SPL to deal with your own fuckup, fuck all to do with the SFL.
  7. Chick Young Stolen from another forum, funny how Chick Young can change his tune when its SEVCO who are under threat. 'But I have a problem with clubs who can eject their debt by going into administration and then resume normal service in the same division while former employees - and not just players - are left drowning in a sea of debt. It is morally wrong.'
  8. Usual Jim Traynor paranoia...No named sources aka made up shite. No one is in any doubt that times are really hard but clubs need to sort their finances out and stop being so reliant on one income source. Realistic wages for players, a lot of players released and should be easy to deal with. Even if the whole of Scottish Football has to take the hit then they must do it so that we can move forward as one knowing no club is favoured above any other and every club must be dealt with under the rules that every club agreed to be bound by.
  9. Daily Record for those who can't get the link - RANGERS and a breakaway group of SPL clubs were last night on the brink of a compromise deal which would secure the Ibrox club’s place in the top flight. Frantic talks have been held in secret between Charles Green and a number of SPL chairmen who fear at least three of their members could be shut down if Rangers newco are forced to begin life in the SFL’s Third Division. They had hoped the SFL would accommodate Rangers in the First Division but because some lower-league clubs have been railing against such a compromise, more than a few top-flight outfits are panic-stricken. They have been warned as much as £15million could be wiped off the value of their deals with Sky and ESPN if Rangers are frozen out of the SPL for more than one season. Already they fear being denied the £645,000 they are each due to receive from the TV companies on August 6. And without that revenue and additional slices of the financial pie later in the year it is feared several SPL clubs, perhaps including Kilmarnock, Motherwell and Dundee United, could be facing closure. The SFL will meet today to discuss a raft of demands if they are to take in Scottish football’s unwanted club but the SPL will gather tomorrow when they might well perform one of the most spectacular U-turns ever instead of kicking Rangers out. Seven of them – Aberdeen, Dundee United, Hearts, Hibernian, Inverness, St Johnstone and St Mirren – have already made it clear they wouldn’t vote to let Rangers back in to the top flight but financial reality is biting hard. They and others are being forced to think again. And we can reveal they are also considering changing tomorrow’s crucial vote from a show of hands to a secret ballot but last night further talks aimed at saving the game were held in the hope of gathering enough support to keep Rangers in the SPL. Record Sport can reveal a six-point punishment package has all but been agreed by Green who is desperate to keep his club in the SPL. The deal is: ● Back SPL voting reform which would destroy the Old Firm’s voting power. ● Rangers must approve and support a more equitable SPL income distribution which would cut payments to the Old Firm. ● Rangers must accept a points deduction. ● They also have to agree to pay all UK and European football debts. ● The transfer embargo they had overturned in the Court of Session must remain. ● A public apology must be made and Rangers must also accept responsibility for past misdemeanours. Green, worried that not every club will have been made aware of the compromise on offer, has started speaking directly with chairmen and owners and a source at the heart of the secret talks said: “These are substantial punishments which are being suggested and have been on the table for almost four weeks. It is not a last minute package. “But it is feared some clubs may not be aware of the comprehensive nature of the offer on the table so time is of the essence. Green has a helicopter at the ready and will fly anywhere and anytime to every club in the SPL to speak directly with the chairmen and owners. “It is not just Rangers who face oblivion. The entire future of Scottish football as we know it is at stake. This is the nature of the crisis with which we are now faced.” Our source also made it clear it’s the threat to crucial TV money which has sparked the frantic rounds of last minute talks and stressed: “Sky and ESPN are willing to tolerate one year without Rangers in the top flight but they have been shocked by the suggestion Rangers might be out the SPL for three years. “The stark reality we are now facing is that if Rangers are relegated and SFL clubs then force them down into the Third Division, as has been suggested, the SPL’s remaining teams will face their own financial Armageddon. “As many as FIVE teams, possibly among them Motherwell, Dundee United and Kilmarnock could go to the wall and the beginning of the end could start as soon as August 6. “That’s the date every club receives a cheque for £645,000 which is the first tranche of next season’s TV money.” Without that cash some clubs won’t be able to pay wage bills and will then face financial meltdown. It’s thought that during talks with TV chiefs last month it was indicated they would operate for 12 months without Rangers in the SPL despite having a deal which promises four Old Firm matches each season. But since those talks there have been stronger suggestions that the SFL might vote to put Rangers in the bottomdivision and a source close to the telly negotiations said: “This came as a massive surprise. The threat to the TV money means we are staring into an immediate financial abyss. “By voting Rangers out of the SPL and forcing them into the Third Division clubs will be voting for their own demise. “Not only would the SPL clubs lose their TV revenues, the smaller clubs would lose the £2m drip feed they receive from the SPL. That represents a huge proportion of their revenues. “So they too would be voting for oblivion. In the light of this dramatic and unexpected change in circumstances SPL clubs are being asked to think again before they decide to eject Rangers from the SPL. “Many club bosses have been making statements in recent days and weeks saying they will vote Rangers out but they need to re-assess the situation and let the fans know the realities their own clubs now face. “They need to think again and think very hard about what they are doing.” By changing the vote on Rangers’ future from a show of hands to a secret ballot it is believed that some chairmen will find it easier to change their minds. “If the SPL votes Rangers out they put their futures in the hands of the SFL who would then be able to vote Rangers into the Third Division and effectively terminate the TV deal,” our source said. “The initial plan was to see Rangers out for 12 months with the expectation they would bounce straight back and Sky had no wish to effectively kill the Scottish game by pulling their deal. “They were willing to compromise and the resurrection of the Glasgow Cup, which would probably result in an Old Firm game, was suggested along with arrangements for friendly matches between Rangers and Celtic to help their situation by boosting viewing figures and advertising revenues. “That’s up in the air now as it was never anticipated the smaller clubs would flex their muscles in this way. “The situation is at critical level with so many SPL teams unable to continue if Sky pull their cash. This isn’t scare-mongering, just plain fact.”
  10. Brilliant, thanks flow. Up to date as you can get folks.
  11. I have one or two things about Flow post, the first is the bit about the club not responding to every story...sorry but when the integrity of the club and those who run it are being questioned then they bloody well should be slapping down those suggestions asap. I think that comment is quite condescending but that's my own personal opinion. Just to say thanks for posting, however again I feel that if the SPL have as you post, went ahead and issued this document without the rest of the SPL permission or knowledge then it is the club's DUTY to distance itself from the widespread condemnation of the document as most people know we have Motherwell Directors on the SPL board. We need to retain integrity and honesty. As we know shite sticks so we need those running the club to make forthright statements regarding these documents and 'bits of speculation' that are not just posted by rags or rumour but are covered in mainstream tabloids and National TV programs and debated throughout the country. This is not rumour and bits of speculation this is the future of our game and this document showed none of that. With no one from the SPL/SFL or SFA commenting on the document and its contents and how it affects our club then we have to turn to the people who run our club. we need leadership and continual dialogue from our directors not silence. Happy to hear we had nothing to do with that document and we can all breathe more easily. I am, as is my right, am holding off with any cash until this whole fiasco plays out. Not a threat but protecting my rights to watch my team play in a league where they have a chance of winning something because all the rules are being obeyed by all clubs. If there is a stitch up then I can walk away and invest my hard earned elsewhere.
  12. It's not threats its a choice each person makes. Maybe Flow should have chosen his words a little bit more wisely especially as he is the official spokesman for the club. He could have said people have 'chosen' not to renew rather than a provocative word like threats. No doubt he will be kicking himself a wee bit when he realises the context it could be taken especially at such a sensitive time with the club's director's position of being SPL panel members and 'the' document. (and its not a bloody criticism before the happy clappers go nuts on this site its an observation)
  13. Even if everything went the way you want where is the sporting integrity of allowing a club to cheat and defraud everyone and then reward them for it.What is to stop them and other clubs doing it again and again. What point is having cash if the Old Firm can never be relegated. Where is the competitiveness, how is that in any shape or form a football league. Motherwell will survive short term because we have a very small squad, we have Champions League Football and we have the Well Society for just such eventualities. Division 1-3 have survived without SKY cash and Old Firm visits for decades without folding. Without sporting integrity there is no football, there is no league and there is no cash because the fans will turn away in droves and the club will die. Now go tell your pals on Rangers Media and Follow Follow that is why we want sporting integrity over SKY cash.
  14. Who cares..!! We dealt with it as the rules of the game at the time, which were none. New rules were brought in later and they have been used on clubs who went into administration so take your holier than though shite elsewhere. We didn't break the rules because there were none to break. We done what we had to do to survive.
  15. Has anyone read this http://wingsland.podgamer.com/the-lead-parachute/ very good look at the proposals basically tearing it apart.
  16. Due to work commitments its been very hard for me too get to many games, hence why I have been a PATG customer for a good few years. However in taking stock of everything that's going on I wondered why I bothered posting up emotional posts (again sorry Flow, heat of the moment) about Motherwell. When I go to watch Motherwell I love the fact our stadium is not finished, the fact we have yellow paint all over the place. How our stands are all different sizes. It makes it unique and gives the place character. I love the fact the Big Higdon comes in and is not the complete striker, has many faults but still comes out as top scorer. How our players want to come back and finish their careers where they started. How Humphrey can run like the wind but my 7 year old son can cross the ball better. How Lasley is probably the smallest midfielder in the league but is happy to stick the boot in when required. I love the fact that a wee Estonian no one rates comes here and plays for his travel expenses makes an impact and gets a shitload of goals and becomes a fan favourite. How Murphy can beat 8 players and score wonder goals but then is never seen for another 5 matches. I love how we have glorious games when we were expected to fail and abysmal failures when expectations are high of a win. I loved Skippy Sunday, I love 2-0 game against Celtic or the unforgettable 6-6 game against Hibs. I was shocked when Uncle Phil died but was comforted by the togetherness of the fans and their support of the family and each other. Of the naming of the Stands Davie Cooper and Phil O'Donnell. The 1991 Scottish Cup run How the 'well worth saving' campaign rallied us in our darkest hour and then go on to play in the Champions League 10 years later. How we have one of the smallest squads in the league but had great success on the field. I wish we had more money as a club but am happy to live within a strict wage structure for the future of our club I hope we can keep this oddball bunch of players and our old and eccentric stadium going, I hope we are the driving force for change in the game but not for the benefit of one club. I hope that the directors have the fans and the club's future uppermost in their minds at every meeting they attend and fight our corner against the dominance of the Old Firm and our rights as a member club. That's why I love being a Motherwell fan.
  17. Right am away oot to calm down again....Hope to god Motherwell statement puts this right and I am completely wrong..
  18. They knew about this all day yesterday and were at the meeting, bollocks to giving them time they knew what they were doing all along. I can't wait to read this statement and see how they can justify this...oh right...we need money or we go into administration, well we have been there and done that, didn't seem to affect Dundee much doing it twice and the SFA/SPL will bend over backwards to accommodate a member SPL team after all. BTW there is not a raging as fuck smillie. I like these though
  19. Exactly this, the SPL equivalent of 30 pieces of silver. I have seen Flow on these and other boards as fast as lightning on other matters and his silence says a lot. He is the MFC Communication officer so where is our communication from the board on this ridiculous document.??
  20. Does our chairman being part of the SPL Board count as this came from them and must have been approved by the SPL board prior to being published.
  21. sorted for you mate...dunno who would disagree with that
  22. I see the club have a heading on their site 'Season Tickets - Why should you buy..??' my thoughts exactly, not much point really.
  23. From P&B allegedly the word on the wire that MJ in a meeting with the Kilmarnock supporters let slip that Celtic have been throwing their weight around re the 11-1 voting rights at recent SPL meetings. Possibility of long legal action against clubs and making things difficult for clubs who attempt to change the vote, seems SPL clubs are backing down on this as well.
