To think one of 'ours' sits on the panel and allowed this utterly ridiculous document to be approved in our clubs name needs to resign
-
How about this SPL board SPL - Rangers and Celtic First Division - Rest of the SPL and six from the First Division Pyramid system thereafter sounds a hundred times better than that pish document you put out...I need to go lie down...
-
Sporting integrity is VERY simple. Pay your taxes, pay other clubs for buying their players, pay the players the wages that have been agreed to the SFA, no dual contracts. If you break the rules you get punished. How fucking hard is that and I don't need a load of shite from Albert fuckface Camus to tell me
-
To think I was going up to Fir Park to get my season ticket and join the Well society as the wages went into the bank today...!! Forget it, you are not getting a penny of my money if we accept this. I thought we were building for the future it looks like the club wants the Old Firm duopoly to continue and are happy to be mid table mediocrity
-
MFC Where is your statement on this.? You went to the meeting today. Where does the club stand on this blackmail and bullying document.? It is an insult to our intelligence. A disgrace to be involved in this.
-
The SPL have just basically threatened the SFL with extinction if they don't agree, bullying of the worst kind and to say it is retaining 'sporting integrity' is absolutely outrageous. My link My other link
-
I guess the Appelate tribunal will not sit again going by that document. Rangers are being handed the biggest pat on the back for Fraud and cheating I have ever known. The SPL should be disbanded immediately. I understand Motherwell precarious finances but I would rather go part time than accept this in any form. This is so corrupt it is actually embarrassing and gives Rangers fans all the material they need to throw the 'sporting integrity' right back in our faces.
-
Then pay Faddy's wages for the next 6 months Diggle
-
You kidding, their Chairman is a bigger Rangers Supporter than Chic Young and Jim Traynor rolled into one. A Definite Yes vote. He couldn't give a damn about 'his'club's fans outcry. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if he sold the club to Rangers to give them a hand back into the League if the SFL rejected Sevco.
-
Stitch up alert. No sign of league reconstruction ever happening until the prospect of a NO vote for SEVCO and all of a sudden we have all 3 associations wanting reconstruction. Complete and utter surrender to strengthen the duopoly even further. Complete and utter sellout.
-
Might as well close this thread no chance of any players coming in even if we manage to sell anyone.
-
I haven't seen a single thing from SKY to say that they would renegotiate any TV deal if Rangers aren't in the SPL, can anyone post a link..??. Only thing I have read is that Doncaster hasn't signed the new deal yet, why the hell he hasn't is beyond me.
-
Also why has no one actually tried the other broadcasters to see if a better TV deal can be struck. We seem to be begging SKY to give us any measly deal. I would rather have a 5 year deal with the 'council' channels or ESPN than SKY who have given us the crumbs left over from the EPL deal. I haven't heard much from the SFA or SPL re sponsors for a good few years now.
-
Why...?? Its a 'discussion forum'. The chit chat as you put it is quite detailed and that for me is a warning signal as most paper chit chat has not had an ounce of detail regarding this whole affair. I hope you are right and I am very wrong but I have always found that self preservation of the duopoly is a founding principle of the SPL and SFA
-
All this 'voting' will be a paper exercise if the board of Motherwell are if tabloid reports are saying are involved in secret talks with the SFA, SPL and SFL. If this turns out to be true then the board should resign on mass as they would have no integrity after agreeing to allow the Well Society to 'vote' on NEWCO. I await the outcome of the associations meetings with utter cynicism as I have NEVER seen any of our associations do ANYTHING to improve the game despite the once in a lifetime opportunity that has been presented. self interest (cash) will come first
-
St. Mirren statment is a bit of a damp squid..seem they have takeover talks which are more important. No official statement from Aberdeen. I know Jim Spence is a decent journo but I will wait for the official announcement before I add them to the NO camp. Funny how its the east coast clubs who are all coming out the woodwork and not a lot from the West coast clubs. Motherwell decision is unknown until the vote is declared despite the calls on here for a NO vote.

Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco
Well Well replied to Steve Diggle's topic in Club Chat
any chance of a link have been looking for it. Can only see the bit about him wanting clubs to vote on financial reason etc.. -
I cannot believe these clubs are going public saying they will vote "no" to an application that has not even been considered yet, to which they have not been privy to our representations, and when the hearing is not until the 4th July. It is like lodging a legal appeal and before there has even been a hearing some of the appeal judges issue a statement saying they are going to turn it down, even before an argument in the case has been made. It is harder to conceive of a more textbook example of the fettering of discretion of a party to a decision-making process. Rangers already have compelling grounds for the reduction by judicial review of any decision made. The hysteria and blood-lust of the mob seems to be running things now pure and simple. "Sporting integrity" is just a euphemism for revenge. I actually believe that we ought to be punished, but I am sickened by the complete lack of impartiality that has been shown. This is not a hearing on the 4th of July, it is an execution, and our foes are lining up to take the first shot. Bound to end up in the courts with complete embarrassment looming for the SPL. What is the point in participating in a process when those charged with the decision are announcing their results before the meeting has even taken place? Sums up the amateurish and narrow-minded nature of things just now. Appalling really. From Rangers Media - Some want to take the decision to court if the vote goes against them on 4th July

Well done to the Dundee United Board. Sporting Integrity first...Down with NEWCO..

Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco
Well Well replied to Steve Diggle's topic in Club Chat
The major point in this whole mess is not ONE club in Scotland got Rangers into this mess they done this to themselves. To talk of boycotts etc is a joke. Rangers and their fans you only have yourselves to blame. No point blaming SDM, no Rangers fans complained when the trophies were piling in despite the tax avoidance and double contracts (allegedly). No one complained when Whyte took over and everyone on Follow Follow and Ranger Media lauded him and looked forward to more trophies. Even when it was obvious that Whyte was not paying NI/PAYE it was someone else's fault. When they went into administration it was the SFA/SPL fault, when they went into Liquidation it was HMRC fault, nothing to do with not paying taxes. Now that they are scraping about looking for a way back its the diddys teams fault. Not once have anyone on the Rangers Board said sorry or it was their own fault. -
Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco
Well Well replied to Steve Diggle's topic in Club Chat
ICT Chairman open letter to the fans hints heavily IMO at a NO vote as well. That was a bit of a shock to me. Open letter to the fans from ICTFC chairman Kenny Cameron: The Rangers situation has resulted in a huge volume of letters, emails and phone calls to me from Caley Thistle supporters -- so many that I cannot reply individually, though all have been given due consideration and the board fully appreciates our fans' strength of feeling on the issue. Similarly, all the posts on the fans' website have been noted. This week we consulted with the Supporters Trust, whose input is particularly important to us. It is fair to say that those who say that Rangers have been punished sufficiently are in an extremely small minority of all the representations received. The directors of the club have taken all the comments on board. Our final decision on the issue will be taken based on the views of supporters and the Supporters Trust combined with what we think is best for our club from a business perspective and for Scottish football in general. This is an extremely busy period, otherwise I would have taken time to reply to all of our fans who have taken the trouble to contact me. Their views will not be arbitrarily dismissed. Meanwhile, as events continue to unfold, the board will continue to assess the situation on an ongoing basis. Thanks for your input, Kenny Cameron -
This is fan power at its best. Well done to the Motherwell board for handing an extremely important decision to those people who have put their own cash into the club. To all those people who are Well society members take a cold hard look at the figures and don't let your heart rules your heads. I strongly feel Rangers should be punished and a NO vote for me is the way forward but make your OWN decision. As we no doubt will pay for this decision by more cold hard cash being pumped into the club again shortly. This is a rallying call to every Motherwell fan. Get involved in the Well society and get your season tickets purchased asap. We must show the same faith in the club as they are showing to the fans and society members. Show the club we CAN make the hard decisions but can do so with the future of the club at the forefront of our decisions and dig deep the club need our money more than ever.

Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco
Well Well replied to Steve Diggle's topic in Club Chat
Very well written and reflects a lot of my feelings as well. I have watched Motherwell when we have been playing in lower divisions and we survived and came back. If we have to cut back and be in the wilderness for a few years then so be it. We will come back stronger. I thank the board for spelling out what a NO vote will entail at its worst but I still think the groundswell in support from renewed and new season tickets and Well Society membership will help boost the club financially if the board vote NO. Its not all doom and gloom Motherwell FC. We have Champions League to look forward to and you never know we might make some decent cash from that or the Europa League. Trust your fans as we trust you to make the only decision that can be made. No to Club 12
