Ok just reading this thread for last 30 seconds, where's all the new signings..

I am firmly in the Craggo is the man camp...The guy regularly puts his body where it hurts for this team, week in week out and gets very little credit for it. My opinion, the guy has been crying out for a decent centre half partner for god knows how long and frequently it seems he is the only one at the back line who gives 100% when he plays. For a guy who does just about everything at the back I think it is about time some others in the back line get their act together and play the game as committed as Craggo. Yes he aint good with headers and his passing is shocking but I tell you the guy is so bloody busy marshalling an atrocious back line I am suprised he ain't hoarse at the end of every game. A great man, Captain and ambassador for this club, wears his heart on his sleeve and can frequently be seen on the edge of his seat when out injured, dying to get on and in about them. We have the PO Stand that is a fitting memorial. Leave the strip alone, need to give this a break guys and move on a bit. No disrespect to anyone especially the family but we need to move forward. I see the SPL are in talks with ESPN for the TV coverage. Maybe JB and the prospective candidates are waiting on the result as this would obviously be a major influence for any new manager.

Reading some of those comments I would steer well clear of Staunton...looks like he would embarass the club at some point...just a matter of when and how embarrassing it will be...What teams has he managed..??..What experience in coaching...is JB just looking for people who have been out the job more than a year...I feel really uneasy now if this is the quality of manager we are going for... Edit - Just read his Wiki....am gonna throw maself in front of the Motherwell to Glasgow train if he gets the job..!!

Yeah same here...although that is exactly why he was brought back to be groomed for future manager at the club. Although I think we should all put this McGhee/Leitch thing to bed and concentrate on what the new management set up will be and IF we get any new players...lets not look at the past and look forward..

...once again can one of the mods tidy up all these managers threads into one thread. Wish people would stop opening up pointless threads when there are more than enough about the managers position already started...

I must be the only one who actually thinks we won't bring anyone in at all. I think we will be held to ransom once again by Aberdeen when Muttley finally ends up there and comes back and puts in a £50k bid for Clarkson expecting us to bite the hands off them. I am really unsure about all this and really think we will have to see some players leave in swop deals as I don't think JB has ANY cash for new players at all and we will probably be lucky to find a manager willing to accept quite a low pay deal as JB will be cutting his cloth accordingly due to the sparse times we have been going through. I can't see anyone getting replaced at all apart from possible swop deals. I also don't think JB will pay for playeres wages from his personal account again. I see the club bringing on the youngsters, whether they are ready or not and banking on a 8-9 place finish next year. We banked on holding off on the pitch repairs for a season hoping the pitch would hold up and everyone knows what happened there. We are carrying out those repairs now as we know the league will not accept it again and would probably automatically relegate Motherwell at the end of the season if we didn't dig deep and replace the pitch and carry out repairs to the USH. I don't think we have learned any lessons there and would not be surprised to find the management crossing their fingers, not buy anyone this season and hope for the best. We have continually done this and I don't see it changing anytime soon...

JB should just walk out of the meetings...he holds all the aces...tell Milne to phone when he wants to talk serious money..If he is so desperate to bring the messiah back home then dig deep...

Certainly would invest a few million on lengthy TV advertising in as many formats as possible...SKY, Virgin, all the council TV stations just to get all the other clubs pig sick of seeing someone shout "C'Mon Ye Well" continually..
