  1. Its called 'Laws' of the Game not RULES...OMFG .
  2. Yeah because that kind of treatment of current players will really attract new players to the club.
  3. I thought this was the Ross County v Motherwell thread and waded through two pages of pish about fan behaviour...go get yourself another thread ffs...Back on thread has anyone checked on Yoda? Have not seem him post after a high scoring win for the Well
  4. Yep, lets give the guy some time to bed in, get him up to team fitness and then work on match fitness. Get some bounce games and 10-15 minute cameos with the first team.
  5. Aarons has hardly kicked a ball in a year and your criticising his crossing ability from a 20 minute debut...seriously....!! SOD is getting what we pay him so what...he will be needed over the course of the season. Should we pay SOD off and get rid then bring in someone who is not so good just so you feel better about what we are paying them?. As for the striker? who knows who it is if it is indeed Moult. I am sure the club will ensure he will have passed a medical before he signs for us. There is a process and hardly a song and dance. You really make mountains out of mole hills.
  6. Nottingham Forrest have signed 22 players in this window..!!!
  7. yeah your doom mongering perspective as per. The rest of your post sounds exactly like
  8. I voted KVV just for the goals but RT was unplayable at times. Had to laugh on P&B when someone criticised Tierney performance by saying he was soft and poor finisher.
  9. It was a ridiculous comment and your constant doom mongering is getting tiresome and predictably boring. 4-0 at home and your still having a dig...some people are never bloody happy. Give it a rest and enjoy the performance and win for a change.
  10. I would go as far to say both had their best game for the club tonight. Tierney was a delight to watch always going forward and his passes were superb. Unlucky not to score near the end. Efford put in a shift on the right and his crosses into the box were all good. He was very effective in that role. Goss was as comfortable as I have seen him and bossed the midfield along with Slattery who was breaking up play and at one point rode three challenges in midfield coming away with the ball. Penney on left was comfortable as well and had a great run in 2nd half with a great pass that deserved a decent effort on goal. Aarons also just needed to sneeze on the ball from a ball played across the face of goal from Van Veen to get a goal with his first touch. Young Lennon Miller did not look out of place in the central midfield role when he came on and he is still only 16..!!
  11. This is an absolutely terrible comment...Did you actually go to the game?.. We created lots of chances, lots of one touch football and free flowing stuff all over the park...ball was pinged about on the deck all over the place. Efford probably had his best game for us on the right. Tierney was unplayable and Goss was spraying great passes all over the park. Defence were outstanding when called upon and mopped everything up. Even under pressure they didn't punt it up the park and played the ball on the deck out of bother. I have no problems about where the goals come from as the players were breaking their neck to get in about the goals and were just unlucky not to score.
  12. McKinstry was injured, picked up in training . He was not included as a precautionary measure. He will feature again this week
  13. Where are the mods on this site, surely Grizzlyg should be banned, these are horrendous
  14. Will miss this one, off to Jamaica for a week and then Paphos the following week . Confidence is a bit higher in the squad and I reckon this is another win
  15. Bringing some youth in to the match day squad was unexpected and welcome. The inclusion actually might be the spark the team needs. It shows the faith that Hammell and Kerr had in them that they were happy to fling one on despite the pressure of the game. Wee bit nervous to begin with as everyone would be but he even managed to get a shot that wasn't far away from a great goal. Hope to see more of our youth getting a run out throughout the season. I thought Mahon might have got 10 minutes to see what he has to offer as Shields and Efford don't offer much just now
  16. I don't have one as there is no point. The clubs directors will pick the most appropriate person from those interviewed. I just hope they choose wisely
  17. Thank god fans don't pick managers, some of the shouts on here are just ridiculous and wild. In fact almost every single one mentioned so far. Some on here are definitely on the sauce celebrating GA going by the nick of these suggestions
  18. Craigan left under a cloud and was basically shown the door after an alleged incident. There is no way in hell he will be the next manager. He is also enjoying his pundit role. Faddy has absolutely no experience as a coach never mind a manager. Pure fantasy stuff
  19. Hopefully the directors will now look for someone who has more experience under their belts for a change. No rookie managers or ex Well players please, just another route to disaster
  20. We really need fresh ideas and some confidence building with the players for the season ahead and sadly I do not think Alexander brings that. I hope there are wise heads amongst the directors.
  21. If the manager continues to put the players out and play in a fashion where they seem to have no clue what they are doing I can see cricket scores when we play the Old Firm, potential record goals against. I dread to think what that defence would look like without Lamie already this season. I lost count of the amount of times he had to come out and cover for Carroll it was criminal the amount of space he leaves in behind. He makes absolutely no attempt to fill back in quickly and saunters back to his position. I really hope he is binned asap. Mugabi seems to have a confidence issue just now but he can do some half decent defending as long as he has someone covering in behind due to his inherent lapses (which was something that Lamie was prone for but seems mostly to have cut out his game). I would love Max Johnstone to play at right back he has pace to burn up and down that flank and can tackle. The guy never put a foot wrong in the Thistle game and has since been dumped in favour of McGinn who everyone can see is struggling for pace. Sol and Ojala now appear no more than squad players. I never bought into the Maguire hype (two footed player my arse) and think he really struggled. Then again what is his role?..ball winning midfielder taking over the mantle of Allan Campbell or is that Slattery role who seems to have went backwards in his ability from what I can see so far. Can Cornelius do it? ( I don't buy into all this 'he is one' of us patter) another one like Tierney who badly needs work in the gym as they both continually lose those battles in midfield against stronger players to which at least Maguire can match. I have no idea what Goss and Spittall roles are in midfield? As for Morris I will give him the benefit of the doubt just now until he settles but he needs to realise he cant spend all day on the ball and his thinking has to be a lot quicker as he was badly found out dithering in every game so far. Fitness levels appear to be absolutely woeful with players fading badly at times. We are screaming out for a leader on that park as not one player is stepping up so far and this was glaring last season as well. The players appear to lack confidence in the style of play and tactics however anyone who questions the law according to GA appears to be side-lined quickly (Slattery/O'Donnell?) quelling any dissent or just up and leaving (Woolery). Up front we have Van Veen, badly lacks fitness and appears to be carrying an injury of some sort or is just badly lacking match sharpness. I don't think we can rely on him solely for goals this season. Efford and Shields dont chip in anywhere near enough goals wise and don't appear to be a threat to any defences. Mahon hasnt seen a minute run out yet and I have no idea what he can bring to the squad. When pundits (Craigan) start openly criticising the manager, his choice of signings and his tactics which all seem eye bleedingly obvious for a long time on live TV surely someone at Director level has to be asking questions. GA can't bench the directors. The directors need to keep a weather eye on the fans because if they start protesting and staying away from games then that essential money they bring into the club dries up and I have yet to see many manager's survive when the fans protests start. Can we also have anyone but the manager do the pre and post game interviews as I feel completely deflated after listening to his absolutely awful commentary. Thank god I am at least spared his team talks as he seems to demotivate everyone around him.
  22. Yeah I see where your coming from but I believe football is actually coming further under the business norms with footballers, managers etc taking clubs and world bodies to court even more regularly...Look at Bosman which shook up the way contracts are handled and changed the face of football forever. If anything I would like to see it go further with regulation of agents but that's a conversation for another day...back to business...GA get yer finger out...!!!
  23. At the end of the day I honestly do not think the club will sack him. I think he will already have his list of milestones from the club for the season ahead and if he hits those milestones during the season then he will remain if he doesn't then I am sure the club will be having a chat with him regularly about them. I do not think anything regarding Europe will be on it.
  24. maybe not but he could not continue fulfilling the role much the same as Stuart McCall could not continue then the directors would be duty bound in their positions of responsibility ( exercise independent judgement, promote success of the company and exercise reasonable care, skill and diligence) to sack him and find someone else who could take the club forward. The club came to an agreement with both parties before it was required to sack them.
