I honestly dislike Hearts about 5% less than either of the OF. Added to that I'm not sure why anybody would want a team who we hope to compete with most seasons to get the massive advantage of league and Champions League prize money.
I think Campbell would stick out like a sore thumb technically in our midfield tbh. We've already got Sparrow- who I really like- as a fairly limited midfielder in comparison to the others, but he's at least versatile and offers an outball.

I liked and defended Kettlewell more than most but as far as I can tell all this shows is that he accrued less points than JBA in more games, 5 of which were post-split bottom 6 fixtures?
Aye Bair is 100% on Kettlewell afaik. Our recruitment team didn't exactly "identify" him given he'd literally played against us the season previously. Everybody in Scotland was aware of him, it was just Kettlewell who saw a player in him.
I'll stick my neck out and say that I'll be very surprised if we don't make top six. We're already 6 points ahead of Falkirk and 10 clear of United, I don't really see them or anyone else putting together a sort of run that would overhaul us.
I liked Kettlewell as manager more than most and I think there's a kernel of truth there about how our fanbase treat managers- but on a whole the way he left was more disingenuous and self-serving than anybody else in my time supporting Motherwell.
I like Hale but he's a nippy wee guy fairly similar to a lot of our other attacking options. I'd be surprised if we dont bring in a bigger, focal point type striker instead.
