By my reckoning our first team squad consists of - 11 Englishmen (I'm counting Dunne,Rose and Bigi as they're all either born or raised in England despite representing other countries) -7 Scots -2 Northern Irish -1 Irish -1 Frenchman -1Lithuanian I'd possibly rather we had a few more Scots but that aside, it's hardly more multicultural than most workplaces.

I think people forget that Robinson is still learning as a manager. I doubt many on here would demand a young player with less than a season under his belt to be the finished article and managers are in the same boat. Even guys like McGhee with 1000 games in management dont get their tactics spot on from the start every week, so I don't expect Robinson, with half a season at Oldham and a few months at Motherwell to either.

Honestly wouldn't blame him for wanting away based solely on that account.

I liked Lucas as a player. Injuries and inconsistency made him a pretty useless signing for us but I reckon he's got the quality to make it at this level or L1/L2 in England.

I had high hopes Blyth would sclaff in a scrappy 90th minute winner and go down as a funeral selfie taking, substance abusing cult hero. Alas, it wasn't to be.

Doubt it'll be on TV with both the Old Firm away to Premiership opposition, one of which will no doubt be marketed as a "Glasgow Derby". Still, hopefully lead to an increased crowd actually at the game.

Tbh I only had one specific incident in mind, where he hesitated to make a clearance and let Candeias rob him at the byline. Dunne was fine in the main though, I just think the last few years of Angol, Straker, Chalmers and Jules have scarred me and left me overly critical of all left backs.

I thought Rose was actually okay tbh. Linked up quite well with Frear and Tanner. Still not sure if he offers more than Campbell or Maclean though. I'm still not entirely convinced that Dunne doesn't have the potential for a few Julesy moments but having a full back with genuine pace like him is massive advantage for us. There were one or two occasions yesterday where it looked like Morelos or Candeias were going to go one on one but Dunne caught up with them comfortably.
