  1. I think McGhee would have kept us up. I think Robinson will too.
  2. Rangers allegedly paid £1.8m for Joe Garner who is both vastly inferior and four years older than Moult. Obviously the English market is utterly insane, but taking all that into account, as well as charging them a domestic rival premium, I don't think we should settle for less than about £800k.
  3. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-boss-pedro-linked-move-10396204?service=responsive
  4. The 2013/14 kit was 10/10 IMO. Perfect.
  5. We're quite clearly not paying Lee Lucas £2k p/w.
  6. Is that Accies,Hearts and now Hibs that have been promoted then let Keatings go? Congratulations to Dundee United on their 2017/18 Championship victory.
  7. I don't really think we can judge Robinson's appointment until the end of the season. There's been a pretty equal mix of the encouraging- a tactical flexibility and willingness to change things, less 3,4,5 goal pumpings and generally improved performances all with a makeshift team- and the worrying- we're still losing more than we win and seem unable to cut out idiotic individual defensive mistakes. If he keeps us up,then job done, he's done as well as could be expected given the shambles he walked into. If we go down, then fair enough, criticise whoever you want then.
  8. Worth noting that we are unbeaten against Accies in close to 2 years (a year and 7 months if you want to split hairs.) Whether this means we've got their number or they are due a result against us I'm not sure, but our record against them isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be.
  9. Is anyone claiming that the banner represents the whole of Motherwell FC's political views? I'm sure you can bring along your own Tory banner if you want to make the distinction clear.
  10. Hughes joined Raith in February and they have been statistically the worst team in that division since then, falling into the playoff place and losing 5-0 to St Mirren and 4-0 to Dumbarton.
  11. We'll win today and so will Inverness. We'll then lose at NDP next week.
  12. I honestly think McManus has been a decent signing for us over the last four years. A lot of people seem to judge him more harshly due to his reputation and status, than as a Motherwell defender.
  13. John Ruddy released by Norwich. His stock seems to have fallen dramatically since he turned down Chelsea.
  14. I was exaggerating a wee bit for comic effect, I've got nothing against the guy personally.
  15. Study leave right now, so unless they have exams they should be free.
  16. It warms my heart to see our often polarised fanbase unite together in near unanimous hatred of Jacob Blyth.
  17. Samson/Pick somebody from the crowd Cadden Heneghan Mchugh Hammell Ainsworth Campbell Pearson Frear Moult McDonald I think we just have to accept that we are defensively weak down both flanks and will probably concede at least one against any team with competent wingers, our strength lies in our attacking and we should take advantage of that. This Ross County team aren't massively different from the one we battered 4-1 in October or the one we beat in Dingwall in January, and will be missing their first and third top scorers.
  18. To be fair to Robinson, we have scored 6 goals in our last 2 games, so the hoofball tactics aren't really the problem imo, its individual defensive mistakes and possibly a lack of organisation.
  19. Leicester, Liverpool and Everton scouts apparently watching Marvin.
  20. Have we not settled on either a) Ya Bezzer is having us on b) James Keatings
  21. I think it's testament to how good that team was that Hateley- a decent top flight player- was regarded as the weak link.
  22. Also been coming across annoyingly likeable lately.
  23. Are you implying Fraser Kerr to right wing wasn't a tactical masterstroke?
  24. Richie Forlan loves an ex Motherwell player doesn't he- Vigours,Arnier and Lang all at Inverness.
  25. We were a joy to watch in the second half. Not sure if we could afford to play a 4-2-4 with only two in the middle every week or against the top six teams but it'll trouble the likes of Inverness/Dundee etc.
