  1. Study leave right now, so unless they have exams they should be free.
  2. It warms my heart to see our often polarised fanbase unite together in near unanimous hatred of Jacob Blyth.
  3. Samson/Pick somebody from the crowd Cadden Heneghan Mchugh Hammell Ainsworth Campbell Pearson Frear Moult McDonald I think we just have to accept that we are defensively weak down both flanks and will probably concede at least one against any team with competent wingers, our strength lies in our attacking and we should take advantage of that. This Ross County team aren't massively different from the one we battered 4-1 in October or the one we beat in Dingwall in January, and will be missing their first and third top scorers.
  4. To be fair to Robinson, we have scored 6 goals in our last 2 games, so the hoofball tactics aren't really the problem imo, its individual defensive mistakes and possibly a lack of organisation.
  5. Leicester, Liverpool and Everton scouts apparently watching Marvin.
  6. Have we not settled on either a) Ya Bezzer is having us on b) James Keatings
  7. I think it's testament to how good that team was that Hateley- a decent top flight player- was regarded as the weak link.
  8. Also been coming across annoyingly likeable lately.
  9. Are you implying Fraser Kerr to right wing wasn't a tactical masterstroke?
  10. Richie Forlan loves an ex Motherwell player doesn't he- Vigours,Arnier and Lang all at Inverness.
  11. We were a joy to watch in the second half. Not sure if we could afford to play a 4-2-4 with only two in the middle every week or against the top six teams but it'll trouble the likes of Inverness/Dundee etc.
  12. I miss Dan Twardzik and the way his height decreased every time we lost. Think he was about 5'6 by the time he was dropped.
  13. The only other feasible way to do that is to play 44 games a season, which seems a tad overkill. Unless you are wanting to scrap the 12 team format, which is a whole other can of worms. Personally I like the split tbh.
  14. Announced tomorrow at 11am.
  15. Expanding on this, we've played 8 games without Moult against real teams this season - i.e. not Stranraer or East Stirling- won 1,drew 2 and lost 5.
  16. A Friday night at NDP would be dece.
  17. McDonald saying Moult will hopefully be back. Goes without saying but that would be absolutely massive for us.
  18. Dundee are technically due another 3 at home but that would take them to 20 so it's likely we'll have them at Fir Park again.
  19. I don't think there's necessarily anything wrong with a pragmatic style of play especially considering our predicament. I'm not a fan of hoofball but I can understand why Robinson chose it considering we're missing Moult,Tait and McManus, as well as the knock on effects of being forced to take Mchugh out of our already weak midfield which probably increases pressure on our defence, as well as stifling Cadden and Frear's creativity by moving them further back. Would Robinson choose to play this way if he wasn't putting out a makeshift starting eleven every week? I've no idea. It obviously didn't work but to his credit Robinson did change it at half time and I'd be surprised if we play that way against Inverness.
  20. McDonald was miles ahead most of our team but even he had his work cut out when tasked with being our sole creator and finisher. No real horror shows amongst everyone else but a few need to stand up and be counted for.
  21. His assist for Marvin's last minute winner at Inverness to secure top six last season was absolutely sublime, as was his chip against Killie in August.
  22. Aye I'd be starting Ainsworth in this. I suspect he'll be getting released either way but an on form Lionel really can make the difference in games like this. I'm a big fan of Cadden and he's been deservedly our first choice in that position for the last year- but he's somewhat of a one trick pony and it's just not coming off for him right now at right wing. I don't have the stats to hand but Ainsworth has scored 3 times as many goals this season in I'd guess less than half the game time? He's inconsistent, frustrating and probably away in the summer but he's scored and assisted countless absolutely massive goals for us. Now I've said all this he'll probably do nothing and get hooked after 45 minutes. Edit- just realised this isn't the Partick Thistle thread tbh
  23. Lucas could have made a difference imo. He's inconsistent and injury prone but also our most creative midfielder when it comes to picking passes going forward. I assume one of his legs fell off in training though.
  24. Well this midweek round of fixtures has been anti climatic.
