Based off last year's playoffs - yes.

I agree with the general argument but I'm not so sure re McDonald. Dragged us through a lot of games over the last year.

    Mark McGhee

What was Moult at halftime then?
  4. Had no idea about that. Suppose the only option is to put Gomis in there. Putting a lot of pressure on Cadden to produce a big performance and become the focal point of our attack.
  5. I'd just try and get as close as possible to our team in November/December. Ripley, Law and Hammell all in their usual positions. Any two of McManus, Hall and Kennedy at centre back. Central midfield three of Cadden, Lasley and Pearson the Johnson on the left. Moult and McDonald up front.
  6. Gomez is fast becoming the new Arnier. If only we still had Humphries and Vigours.

    Mark McGhee

We were an an absolute trainwreck and in a far worse situation when McGhee took over and he managed to turn that around, so we know he can do it. But, for the first time this season I'm not sure that we will. Really need a result soon.
  8. Remember when Stuart McCall's Rangers team beat us 6-1 over two legs to relegate us, with Nicky Law scoring a double hat-trick? That was a bitter pill to swallow.
  9. Surprised we're offering pre-contracts considering our imminent administration.
  10. I'm not saying this won't happen, but did something happen in your life to make you assume that the worst possible sequence of events is always the most likely?
  11. Won't lie, I was disappointed with Iain today. Looked like his back was playing up though to be fair.
  12. Imo, the problem wasn't the one upfront. Our midfield was completely anonymous in an attacking sense, and somehow got worse when Lasley went off.
  13. What would be really funny, I think, is if we start calling him "Mark McGhego". Just a suggestion.
  14. 3-0 Motherwell. Based off of absolutely nothing other than blind optimism.
  15. I agree with the general point of your post - though I do have a little more faith in Mcghee - but I'm not sure I understand the Leicester comparison. Don't they usually use a simple, old fashioned 4-4-2? What I seen from us today was an overly complicated experiment that totally backfired.
  16. Vigurs is a much better player than Mcfadden though, and has been for about 5 years now.
  17. Not really bothered about the result tomorrow, just looking forward to the privilege of watching Iain Vigurs again for 90 minutes.
  18. Who scored the winner that game again?
  19. I'm not usually one to mourn ex players, but the way we handled Vigurs was bizarre. When actually played in position, he'd be one of the most talented footballers in our team -exactly what we're missing right now.
  20. Thought you were on about Paul Paton there
