We've seen none of the promised possession football and high pressing and barring 20 minute cameos, very little in the way of young players getting a run. What we have seen, however, is the exact same as McCall. More hoofball, 4-4-2, erratic substitutions, failure to bench Lasley, Sutton and McManus and being caught on the counter constantly. He obviously needs time to implement his ideas but it's not been inspiring so far.

10th is the absolute bare minimum that is acceptable.

Definitely, I think we could say with confidence that, in Darren Randolph, we had one of the top two goalies in the country. On our budget it was incredibly unlikely that we would replace him with someone of a similar quality, but Twardzik is better than most at this level.

Anyone wanting rid of Twardzik really needs to reevaluate their expectations.

It looked to me like McManus was going to header it to Twardzik but realised that wasn't an option half way through. Don't think it was a mistake.

I should probably make it clear that I do really like Erwin and can easily see him becoming a massive asset for us over the following seasons, but he is a very very rough diamond right now.

I meant in a "football brain " sense - I'm sure he's a delight off the pitch. He has no awareness of who or what is happening around him when he plays. Twice we were on a break away today and he was taken completely surprise by Ainsworth trying to play him in. A few weeks ago he attempted of one of the most blatant and unnecessary dives I've ever seen.

You'd think he'd get about the same as a key player for, say, Alloa or Dunfermline as he does for warming our bench?

I'm not sure why Mchugh still sticks around tbh. I'm sure he could make a pretty good career poaching in the lower leagues. I've always felt there is some sort of untapped skill in him.

Good first half, we fairly lost the head in the second. Not a fan of the Ramsden/Lasley midfield pairing. Think we need either Vigurs or Lawson in there besides one of them with a better range of passing to control the pace of the game. Lee Erwin has all the raw physical attributes that should tear this league apart but the boy is thick as fuck, his positional awareness is just bizzare at times. Why do we hate Christie Elliot again?
