  1. Apologies to everyone else who’s being subjected to this tedious argument. I’ll stop now.
  2. More edits after I’ve responded and supposedly been blocked? As a matter of fact we HAD previously interacted on P&B, back in May. You told me your name and a lot more besides, and I told you who I posted as on SOL. The comment you refer to on here was made shortly afterwards as a joke, with a smiley face and all, and you responded with a joke. No idea why you’ve waited almost six months to take the hump.
  3. I see you've gone back and edited your post after I've responded, to add a swear word and a dig of your own. Doubly mature. And not that I never cuss on here, but apparently the late night swearing is a regular thing with you. Do you argue with everybody, or is just a select few?
  4. Oh, very mature. Shame you blocked me before pointing out where I'm supposed to have had a pop at you, and/or a "snide dig", because I don't recall any such occasions. I'm beginning to suspect you have a comprehension problem, or a very thin skin, or both - and if you want to take this as a dig then you might just this once be correct.
  5. I didn't suggest you were lying, merely that you might be mistaken in your understanding of what had been said. If you re-read that post by Spiderpig he says that they came in through the fire doors, but at no point did he - or anyone else - say that this was referred to as "doubling up".
  6. Nobody on here has said anything which could be remotely construed as this. You might have read it somewhere else, but not on here.
  7. A minor point in the grand scheme of things, perhaps, but the post counts are displayed alongside the thread for all to see...
  8. Absolutely spot on. Do you think he resigned as a matter of principle over having to be interviewed, or to pre-empt the likely outcome of that interview?
  9. Is there an official source/link for this? All I can recall seeing is a mention on Transfermarkt of "a deal worth €308K", which could cover quite the multitude of sins. (€308K is ~ £260K.)
  10. Just for the record, Morecambe actually BEAT Wigan 2-1 on 3rd September. I know this because I am acquainted with a Wigan fan, and we regularly lament the performance of our respective teams.
  11. With four votes per member, it's also possible that each candidate elected got 24.7% of the votes cast. Lies, damned lies, and statistics. It would indeed be instructive to see the actual results to clarify, although I suspect they would lie closer to my scenario than yours.
  12. Aye, very good. Don't let the door hit you on the arse on your way out. See above.
  13. Not all candidates submitted video clips. PDF link to candidate statements You'll probably remember her father...
  14. The Big Freeze of '62/'63 - when winters were REAL winters.
  15. Indeed. It's an important game to win in its own right, as well as being our last before the league season starts in anger just 6 days later. The time for dicking about is past now.
  16. Mr Feely can only dream of a mere 80-20 split in any such election!
  17. As part of the same "package" Don Goodman always seemed like a decent enough sort. Now one of Sky's better pundits, and he still sneaks in the occasional positive reference to his Motherwell days.
  18. They would both have had the Well Society in the bin quickly enough if Erik had been successful, so turnabout would be fair play here.
  19. That's the spirit! I'd hate to see them try to claim that the Well Society voted against, but other shareholders didn't. There shouldn't be even the faintest crumb of comfort for anyone associated with this bid.
  20. It'll serve Marsch right if he finally plays Bair on Saturday and he scores a hat trick. I wouldn't bet any of my own money on either of these things, though.
  21. Technically speaking, he's MISQUOTED you, by not including your "colourful metaphors", as Mr Spock once described them.
  22. All's well that ends well, then. For anyone else still eagerly awaiting the info, this is what the Well Society email said. (Basically, if you haven't heard anything by next Thursday, 11th July, get in touch.)
  23. The Society have previously stated that their "pack" would be made available for voting opening on Monday 8th July. As @joewarkfanclub says above, this will primarily be by email, from a third party. I can only assume that the club's paper-based information was sent early, to allow for the possible vagaries of the post. I certainly wouldn't go slagging off their administration based on this example, and certainly not when the other side have already made late and factually incorrect submissions to the process.
  24. That's it in a nutshell. Take a punt with £1m of his own cash to buy 20% of a £4m asset, and 20% of the Board seats, with a plan to grow sustainably to make a return down the line, leaving the fan ownership model and safety net untouched. Basically, the exact opposite of what's actually proposed. One thing Erik keeps repeating, which I DO agree with, is that there are easier ways to make a return on your investment than buying into a relatively small Scottish football club. That's why all the risk is being offloaded on to the Society, and in my opinion it's far too big a risk for me to even begin to contemplate voting for it.
