  1. Hamilton Academical chairman Les Gray is adamant that "artificial pitches are here to stay", and he is calling for the same standards applied to synthetic surfaces to be introduced for grass parks, describing some as "mud heaps". Better a mud heap than a shit heap, Mr Gray. You made your plastic bed, now lie in it.
  2. Fair enough, thanks Andy. (The "what" was quite self-explanatory, it was the "why" I was struggling with.) Speaking as someone who only makes a couple of games every season, and who doesn't vote on any I haven't been at, I'd have been more tempted to remove the "Null Vote" category altogether rather than add another option to keep track of everyone who doesn't actually have an informed opinion but who just can't resist pressing a button. At least that way each vote would actually mean something, whether it was based on personally observing the whole ninety, the muted highlights on Alba, the opinion of your mate who did go, or just a vote for whoever was the biggest, handsomest bastard that week. In the grand scheme of things though, as you say, it doesn't skew anything unduly. Maybe I should just get out more.
  3. I'm not a fan of this "No Idea, Wasn't There" option, which adds precisely jack shit squared in my opinion. What's the thinking there?
  4. It's a competition now? Challenge accepted! It's all lies, damned lies, and over-analysis of limited statistics anyway. This one is my favourite: "Of the 12 charges at Firhill in 2013-14, seven were during a Rangers versus Celtic under-17 game rather than in a game that involved the home team". FFS.
  5. More of a passback, really. Had to laugh at our first corner, 53 minutes in, going right over everyone and out for a throw on the other side. Fucking woeful.
  6. Mildly surprised to see Johnson start ahead of Ainsworth but, hey, I suppose the gaffer knows what he's doing. (On which note, has Leanne been on lately?)
  7. What a great - and timely - thread. Who wouldn't buy the compilation DVD of that lot!? Of the games I've attended, it's the '91 final for me, just edging out the 4-2 semi that preceded it. The games someone mentioned earlier where McClair scored 5 to win consecutive home games against Rangers then Celtic were pretty memorable too. Finally, a special mention for the entire 1981-2 season. The pre-match walk up Airbles Road never felt so good as that season progressed, the only concern being whether we'd score 6 that day, or only 5. Do you feel lucky, punks? Well, do ya?
  8. I'm smiling on the outside at my many memories of Joe, but inside I'm crying. I doubt the Steelmen will ever see his like again. RIP Joe.
  9. I shout at my kids on a regular basis, but they still won't lift a finger. Maybe he should suspend their social media privileges?
  10. Luckily, Anders Breivik chose not to wear our 2011 away strip.
  11. Interesting. That would pull the rug out from under our supposed strategy, but if it means seeing less of that roaring fuckwit Jim White on Sky Sports then bring it on!
  12. Well, that's just scuppered the mental image I had of a Bois' Away Day!
  13. You can only read so much into the BBC stats but it looks as if we were the pressing team right up until the end, which is good. I always get the total fear when we try to see out a game. Looking forward to the feedback from those who actually made it up the high road.
  14. So many great memories - but this one stands out for me...
  15. It's hardly a classic but my favourite is our first at Fir Park. That beautiful moment when the crowd realises that Bell has fluffed it and rises as one, part joy, part relief - I'll never get tired of watching that!
  16. What, Ben McGarry from Sligo Rovers?
  17. My personal favourite on RM today comes from "Redwhiteandblue". "Moshni done that without even thinking about it. It was pure instinct. He may be charged, but any good lawyer would get at worst a not proven verdict" I am willing to bet that Mr Redwhiteandblue is not actually in the legal profession.
  18. Having milked Rangers Media for all it's worth, I popped over to Kerrydale Street for a flying visit. Much as I hate seeing any Old Firm fan happy, I can't really grudge them this one, and some of the comments are proper belters. Now that's what I call GLOATING http://kerrydalestreet.co.uk/topic/9238986/1/
