  1. Just for the record, Morecambe actually BEAT Wigan 2-1 on 3rd September. I know this because I am acquainted with a Wigan fan, and we regularly lament the performance of our respective teams.
  2. With four votes per member, it's also possible that each candidate elected got 24.7% of the votes cast. Lies, damned lies, and statistics. It would indeed be instructive to see the actual results to clarify, although I suspect they would lie closer to my scenario than yours.
  3. Aye, very good. Don't let the door hit you on the arse on your way out. See above.
  4. Not all candidates submitted video clips. PDF link to candidate statements You'll probably remember her father...
  5. The Big Freeze of '62/'63 - when winters were REAL winters.
  6. Indeed. It's an important game to win in its own right, as well as being our last before the league season starts in anger just 6 days later. The time for dicking about is past now.
  7. Mr Feely can only dream of a mere 80-20 split in any such election!
  8. As part of the same "package" Don Goodman always seemed like a decent enough sort. Now one of Sky's better pundits, and he still sneaks in the occasional positive reference to his Motherwell days.
  9. They would both have had the Well Society in the bin quickly enough if Erik had been successful, so turnabout would be fair play here.
  10. That's the spirit! I'd hate to see them try to claim that the Well Society voted against, but other shareholders didn't. There shouldn't be even the faintest crumb of comfort for anyone associated with this bid.
  11. It'll serve Marsch right if he finally plays Bair on Saturday and he scores a hat trick. I wouldn't bet any of my own money on either of these things, though.
  12. Technically speaking, he's MISQUOTED you, by not including your "colourful metaphors", as Mr Spock once described them.
  13. All's well that ends well, then. For anyone else still eagerly awaiting the info, this is what the Well Society email said. (Basically, if you haven't heard anything by next Thursday, 11th July, get in touch.)
  14. The Society have previously stated that their "pack" would be made available for voting opening on Monday 8th July. As @joewarkfanclub says above, this will primarily be by email, from a third party. I can only assume that the club's paper-based information was sent early, to allow for the possible vagaries of the post. I certainly wouldn't go slagging off their administration based on this example, and certainly not when the other side have already made late and factually incorrect submissions to the process.
  15. That's it in a nutshell. Take a punt with £1m of his own cash to buy 20% of a £4m asset, and 20% of the Board seats, with a plan to grow sustainably to make a return down the line, leaving the fan ownership model and safety net untouched. Basically, the exact opposite of what's actually proposed. One thing Erik keeps repeating, which I DO agree with, is that there are easier ways to make a return on your investment than buying into a relatively small Scottish football club. That's why all the risk is being offloaded on to the Society, and in my opinion it's far too big a risk for me to even begin to contemplate voting for it.
  16. Duplicitious twunts, or merely incompetent? The Well Society may have fallen a bit short of expectations at times, but they are paragons of virtue compared to the Board.
  17. The clues are in the name. (It's not the 91 you're probably thinking of - at any rate, not just that '91.)
  18. Yes, from an Accies fan. In fairness, Accies fans have considerable experience when it comes to watching shite.
  19. This. Sometimes smart people ask stupid questions. Sometimes stupid people ask smart questions. Sometimes it's not easy to tell the difference. Either way, there's no need for a stupid answer - just scroll on by.
  20. A number of people there "passionate about the fan ownership model"...
  21. Fire it directly into the sun, and McMahon along with it.
  22. Just an overall impression, and that may be more down to the disjointed journalism / editing, although the quote ""Even if I get the ball and give it away nine or 10 times, I’ll keep going" isn't quite what I'd be hoping to hear from a potential signing. Also, saying "I'm committed to Raith first" and then in the very next breath adding "I've got to do what's best for me, best for my family" is right out of "Wayne Rooney's Big Book of Profound Football Clichés". If he can do it on the park, though, I don't much care whether he's a twat or not.
