Some fans struggle to be realistic. I get that. The same fans that dream about avoiding 11th are the same fans that will annihilate the club when we do. We will finish 11th. We just need to hope we can win the play off
-
We'll finish 11th
-
It's actually embarrassing that fans think we'll finish anywhere but 11th. It was clear as day after the thistle game. The only thing to play for is winning the play off final & without doubt the fans will be behind the team
-
Hopefully we have a go today. I'm going for 2 nil to us
-
This for me. I don't have any Rangers supporting mates that are offended by it, in fact most of them revel in it. I'm not even sure its sectarian tbh but thats a whole different debate
-
We'd still be pish tho. Iv enjoyed the last few years with the success we've had. It's inevitable we were going to have a season like this. I'm easy on the fact we'll always ( contrary to what some may think ) always have a team to support. We'll never win the league ( premier ), but I'd pay money to watch us if I was entertained regardless of what division we're in
-
Ha ha a very sad point. He gives much more than others
-
Spot on for me. That's why people get behind guys like Erwin, has his faults of course but you know he loves Motherwell. Players don't have the same care as fans, it's a job & they'll move on, we're not the only team that will suffer from that. We could do with a few wins tho ha ha

Ha ha yeah I'd say your post is down to steely belief but that's not a bad thing. i went to the Partick game & didn't think we'd get anything but it was the manner of our defeat that was the biggest shock. As others have said players just didn't give 100% after we went a goal down & the tactics just didn't work. Having said that hamiltons form is shocking since Alex Neil went & there's no reason why we shouldn't have went there & took something. We beat Kilmarnock away in a very spirited performance, we should have been able to do that at Hamilton. I just don't see where we're pulling the points from. Ross county have got both St Mirren & Hamilton at home & that's at least 4 point for them there I think. Said this after the Partick game, rest of the season is just about trying to get some momentum for me & hope we can scrape through the play offs somehow

I normally think your posts are on the money but this ones out there for me. Am not sure why you think we can get out of the play off spot based on our form??? Regardless of others not having much to play from there's nothing to suggest we can do enough to get the points required. If we're in the play offs you wouldn't play any of the loan signings???
-
Think I see the Jimmy Calderwood shout as a safe option. Just someone that's been there & done it & would have steadied the ship til the end of the season. For me ( easy in hindsight I know ) him or someone like him would have been a sensible option The problem for Baraclough is the run that Ross County have hit. When you bring in a new manager you hope he has that sort of impact & for whatever reason ( barring 3 or 4 games ) it's just not happened for him. Would have been interesting to see if Van Der Gaag had got the job & had the same impact as Baraclough if he would have got the same reaction from us fans. I don't think we'll change regardless of what happens but me personally I'd change at the end of the season

Hamilton's form???? Since Alex Neil left they've lost 9 in the league & drawn 4. Our recent record there is irrelevant to me, we must win!!!
-
The 9960th isn't any more interesting than the previous
-
Statistically you make the most obvious posts on this forum. I wasn't confident about thistle. Reality.... If we can't beat Hamilton with the form their in, & how important this game is to us. We don't deserve to avoid the play offs
-
John Davies was the worst I can remember. After watching the semi final there Jamie Macdonald would definitely do a job for us
-
Ha ha your right. I meant put us into the play off's ( iv got a massive hangover, so maybe not the best time to post )
-
They'll be right up for this game tonight. It'll be written into there history if they effectively relegate us. Think it will be a hard game, but im going for a 1 nil with a dodgy Sutton penalty
-
You don't think Hearts fans have enjoyed the Championship this year??
-
Agree with this. Long term maybe not the best for a couple of players but its a must for us to have our best side out
-
I would have thought we would have players out of contract Is this bad planning from us as a club because the story also goes on to say Queen of the South have there players signed up into June??? Presumably they've looked at when there season could end & signed up players accordingly while it doesn't look like we have. This isnt a dig by the way, more of a question
-
Don't know if this has been mentioned. But if Hibs get to the Scotish cup final, how does that affect the dates of the play off game???? Players are out of contract round about the end of May??? ( I think )
-
I'm pretty similar to you. I went home & away every season until a couple of years ago where i just got fed up of watching the same teams year in year out. I used to love going to Brockville & places like Tynecastle when it had no roof in the away stand when i was younger. Going to places like Kilmarnock twice a season where there no atmosphere is just brutal. For me i'd be more likely to buy a season ticket if we go down just to experience something different
-
Ha ha your a weird one. In the run in to the split thread you actually use the word predict when you summarise how many points you thought results would bring in for teams. Your in denial ( border line delusional ) if you think we'll avoid the play off. You still haven't given any valid reason why based on us winning 9 games all season you think we can win the next 5????
-
You have to applaud Ross County on there recent form. Beyond that your stance is we can miss the play offs, mine isn't. Doesn't mean I won't be supporting the team any less. But after witnessing the Thistle game ( a massive game ), I seen nothing that would suggest we can put the sort of run needed to avoid the play offs. When you talk about 2nd guessing what will happen in August. You started a threat where you predicted results for the teams round about us, 2nd guessing how teams would perform. ( you must have been really bored that day ) The reality whether you like it or not is its not in our hands where we finish in the league. We need to build momentum over the next few games, get confidence up & have our best go at the play offs If we drop points in the 1st game of the split we'll see if people remain the same positive stance & if we win all 5 & finish 10th I'll be delighted & say fair play to you
-
That makes my point invalid then eh
