  1. I don't see Dickov as the man for the job. Too English -based for me . Another passing ship just waiting for a gig back down south . 30% won ratio as a manager. An argumentative little player from memory, which might at least help in the dressing room square- go stakes.
  2. Aye ,assisted by the ginger midget...????
  3. Not something you should be splashing out on- save your dosh for following the 'Well
  4. 24 hour surveillance outside Cash Converters has yielded nothing so far- just a quality used Sega Megadrive...
  5. Head of Recruitment? Head of Fitness and Conditioning? Time for a change- Head of tackling? Head of Shooting?
  6. Is he not doing a PhD at Stirling Uni in tandem with his gig at FP? It's Freshers Week, he's maybe off his tits on legal highs and subsidised cheap swally before getting his head back into the books and finishing his doctorate on " Trying to get overpaid underperforming Prima Donnas fit enough to look as if they're capable of running around meaningfully for 90 minutes every week." Can't wait, should be a cracking read...
  7. How about going down an anarcho-syndicalist commune route. We take it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week,... but all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting...by a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs...but by a two-thirds majority in the case of more major decisions...
  8. IB must have left his Observers book of clichés behind when he left Trite nonsense- meaningless chewing gum for the ears New man required
  9. A dig at our toothless strikers on Sportscene.Sign of a man looking to show his cojones ?
  10. Just in from work and my son told me. Truly saddened to hear the passing of my boyhood hero. I had the privilege of watching a huge number of Joe's appearances in claret and Amber. An absolute gentleman and the best left back I have ever seen, bar none. Condolences to his family, I hope they draw comfort from the warmth of feeling from those who remember him so fondly. Rest In Peace Joe. My Hero. Legend.
  11. I can remember the final games under Hynd. "Hynd must go" from the terraces, I have never experienced such hate- filled anti manager chanting, before or since. By comparison Baras demise was like a fond farewell . That was in 1979, can still picture standing in the East Stand long after the whistle on his final game.
  12. Ainsworth for me, deserved a goal for himself. Kennedy only a whisker behind him, the big chap put on a shift and a half too.
  13. In the massive void left by the departure of the eloquent Lee Erwin, they could have tried Dom Thomas. #banter
  14. Ah the misty eyed nostalgia of running terracing battles every week in the late 70s
  15. That could be construed as a veiled threat"Jake Taylor sleeps with the fishes"...
  16. Radio Scotland has just had Kenny Shiels declaring how impressed he is with the club set up and how his skill set is a perfect fit???? Is he a bit too off the wall for the job?
  17. Breaking news Jürgen Klopp has just announced that he'd break his sabbatical if the right club came up Coincidence, or what? Just saying...
  18. Be interesting to see if Crags starts him against Thistle. If he does then I will assume it's a condition of his loan that he starts, if fit.
  19. Kennedy was one of a very few who looked remotely up for it on Wednesday , I'd have him and Mick at centre backs( I think Mick will raise his game as the prospect of a new boss looms) Chalmers is steady but needs support wide left, which Johnson hasn't done. Thomas wide left with a clear brief about tracking back Law, I thought he finished the season well, was utterly lost on Wed and I'd leave him out. If Watt is out of it, is Reid worth a chance(can't believe I just suggested that) Centre mid I'd have Las and Grimshaw, who grafted solidly on Wed but his passing was poor but not helped by a shocking lack of movement and options in front of him. Ainsworth wide right, McDonald and Moult as a front 2 , Robinson got no service but showed no desire to fight for possession. Oh aye, Ripley in goals, he had the good grace to look mortified after the final whistle and played solidly enough. Not a game to have a change of keeper
  20. Anyone got a link for "How to spot a snake oil salesman- An Idiots Guide" Please post it on the Club Twitter feed
  21. very much a rerun of the Gannon departure, the old heads holding sway against the incomer( I would venture a parallel withthe LeGuen- Ferguson precedent at Ibrox too) I agree IB was clearly floundering but to what degree do we wonder why player power has done more to get their boss the sack than it did to get us picking up points ? I think everyone at the club - players, coaching staff, general manager, owner- needs to have a long hard think about how they allowed the present situation to develop and fester. Learn from the mistakes and don't repeat them
  22. Standard issue cliché packed sound bite fromIB normally issued along with highlights?
