Scottish Premiership Kilmarnock V Motherwell Sat 6 Aug 15:00

Rules, however nonsensical, are rules. Booking McHugh for what though, attempting to win a header? Bizarre McHugh looks the part, we fell out of it when he went off. The double whammy being the addition of Joe Chalmers. I've said it before, he has clear ability, but runs like a tortoise sprinting through treacle. Not compatible with our game. -
Big Hen Benighan for me too. Won a ridiculous amount of headers, too many to count. No nonsense, no panic He'll do nicely Thought we fell away after McHugh went off with his attempted self-decapitation Like the look of Clay too Superb finish from Lionel, Multi Million £Marv buried his header too

I think some of you chaps are getting a wee bit über-sensitive...
-
Ideally I'm looking for him to play, for someone else...
-
Pace and mobility He has Michael Higdons pace And John Suttons mobility Oh , and positional sense - like a faulty satnav Skill wise, I'm sure he could nutmeg a mermaid in a phone box , but that's just not enough

Or for ensuring the ongoing existence of the club...

Motherwell V East Stirlingshire 26/7/16

I hope Dom Thomas can learn from Faddy. Clearly has all the skill necessary, but doesn't seem to be developing in terms of decision making or game awareness. Needs to be guided better for me. The other concern is just lack of core strength, not needing to turn into the Hulk or anything like it. See Skippy for a benchmark of how to use whatever physique you have . If squad makeup permits I would agree that a loan spell may be the best way forward -
Will We Qualify For The Next Stage Of The League Cup
BigWeegieDosser replied to middleeastdave's topic in Club Chat
Oooft, bit early for conspiracy theories surely? Arabs and Pars colluding- What next, Hilary Clinton emailing sensitive data on us to the opposition? I'm wearing a tin foil hat until the end of the group stages just as a precaution, they're everywhere you know -
Personally, I still feel 19 minutes wasn't long enough to fully assess Abel Thermeus. He could have slotted in nicely eventually I reckon.

Lucas seems to have had 4 first team starts since 2010, maybe a pay per play deal ? He appears to make Arsenals Jack Wheelchair look pretty robust No harm to the lad, but fragility is not an ideal trait in a small squad

Would seem very odd to offer to tear up his contract. Only silver lining would be the wage it would free up IF we have target in mind. Would be a real miss , almost as big a miss as all the chances we squandered on Saturday...

Seems odd that Louis Moult is going for surgery " sometime in the next two weeks, hopefully" The op is apparently necessary, yet we could be two weeks away from even any start to his recovery . I presume it's a low cost BUPA plan we're using? Why announce he needs it and then delay ...

Hammell is being scape goated here, again. We sat in far too deep in the second half, Thomas didn't provide effective cover down the left either. At least we made a handful of clear cut chances. New guys all fitted in pretty well, Tait took a while to get into the rhythm of the game, but looked better as the game went on. Only problem for me- Joe Chalmers. I've no doubt he's got skills, but he is waaaay too pedestrian , in speed of thought and in his movement. Just not for me at all.

Heneghan for me, big strong solid performance . McHugh looked composed and tidy in possession.

The sheer anticipation of it all. That end of season announcement " The Straker/Taylor award for season 2016/2017 goes to..."

The satnav said to just carry straight on...in a foreign accent...

Hate to join in the pedantry, but no it doesn't . Unless your playing cards.

Have you guys had a chance to look over Article 50 yet. Just looking for a bit of clarification, thanks. This thread reads like a Law Society debate, I'll be fecking glad when there's actually some football to talk about
-
Worth keeping, quite simple really. Unbelievable amount of self - righteous tosh spouted on the subject . Do I feel happy about having a back four featuring - - an actual left back, with a wealth of experience we just couldn't ever buy - an actual right back, very experienced and well thought of by his previous clubs - a centre half with Champions League and International experience who can bring part her after partner on - another centre half- perm anyone from Laing / Kennedy / Heneghan . All big physical athletic guys who can be brought on by the other three That'll do me fine Midfield is the recruitment priority, without question. I have high hopes for Alan Campbell. Cadden will hopefully push on from last season. Las is key in supporting and developing them. For me I'd like to see a defensive mid and a playmaking mid.

AgreedGoals were balanced against being injury prone and a bit undisciplined. I'd happily have kept him, but collecting a fee takes the edge off the loss
-
Mussolini ?Can he eclipse the Kaiser Certainly both very much on the right
-
Or half a dozen Sterlings?

Any news on Pearo? Is India a better option for him , and us if there's a half decent fee? Maybe they could take wee Lionel as a BOGOF deal, freeing up funding for us to bring back SoapySouter or Peter Millar or Steve Jennings . Midfield legs are an essential

Ideal guy if we need someone to Pump It Upthe park
